It looks like you have to be a Regal Crown Club member. Bummer… none of those in my area.

Can this be used with the free movie cash? I have a few from redeeming my points a few months ago..Could I use them to get the 2 adult tickets and still get this offer of free childs ticket, does anyone know if this will be allowed?

      Exactly what I was wondering…

My kids are SO PUMPED about this movie. I’m sure we’ll get loads of glares when we go into the theater because they’re so young, but they always sit still like good little adults. Unlike the actual adults who text and talk and generally irritate me! When did it become ok to do this stuff?!? It’s such common practice now to text thru the movie or make comments to your friends. Rude.

You should check out common sense media for the age reviews this movie. My husband and I went to see it first since my 6 year old wanted to see it. It is pretty dark at times and there are certainly some scary moments for kids. There was a boy next to me about 8 years old and he was hiding his head and covering his ears at times. Just a heads up.

Thank you. My kids are extremely mature though and can handle it.

Has anyone seen this yet? Is it scary for kids? I’m debating whether to take my kids (6 and a tender 9). I always thought the monkeys in the original Wizard of Oz were so creepy (although I love the rest of the movie)!

We took our three daughters (age 4 and 9-year old twins) to see it on opening weekend. The flying monkeys/baboons are way scarier this time. The wicked witch is pretty scary too. There are definitely some potentially frightening parts. That being said, my 4-year old just leaned up against me a few times, and she loved the movie. She sat through the whole 2.5 hours without getting up at all. The nine year olds liked the movie as well, and they were fine with the scary parts.

I took my 8-year old this weekend and she loved it, but it was definitely scary. There were some very intense scenes and she got nervous a couple of times and said “it was the scariest thing she ever saw, but in a good way”. 🙂 One bonus, was that we used my Hollywood Movie Cash to buy both tickets and when the movie started it was in 3-D by mistake. My daughter did NOT want 3-D (too scary) and they couldn’t change it so we waited for the next screening and they gave us four free passes. Score!
