Growing up my cousin had a HUGE collection of these. Man, I hated them. They’d stare down at us as we slept. Creepy then, creepy now.

LOL years ago we went to a family wedding in Alabama while we where there we did lots of tourist things. On one of our side trips we went to the cabbage patch museum because I wanted to go. I grew up during the cabbage patch phase but never had one because they were too expensive. I was planning on adopting ( a dream come true adopting where they actually orginated) but when we got there one of the exhibits was dolls under a tree with just their heads sticking up out of the ground. All I could hear was banjo music playing in my head! It creeped me out so bad I high tailed my kid out of there and never looked back. To this day when I see one I get chills down my spine.

        Georgia not Alabama

I think these are so cute, almost bought my kids these the other day at Target for their Easter baskets. Wish Target had more selection though, they only had the pig, dog, duck and cow.

Are these only available at Target?

Walmart carries them as well… Around 2 years ago they had them on clearance for $2.00! My girls have 4 or 5 of them I think. They are super cute and smell good, just like the bigger cabbage patches. 🙂

According to the ToysRUs website, they’re sold in store for $10.99. I think I’ve seen them at Walmart too…

        They are $10.00 at Walmart.

i want the frog so bad…want it want it want it…whaaaaaa (i figured if i threw a fit like my kids maybe i’d get it)

  5. Tiffy

    Does target only carry them

Are these really small? I went to Target to get the Baby Alive newborn and was really dissappointed on the size!! Soooo tiny!!!!

    • MommySpendsLess

They’re about 6″… Definitely a lot smaller than the standard Cabbage Patch dolls. But they’re cute and would be nice in an Easter Basket. (I may be biased though, having been born in the 80’s 🙂 )

I just measured my daughters and they are all between 9″ and 9.5″. Smaller than the standard toddler size CPK dolls, but not much smaller than the newborn size CPK dolls. Not a bad deal for the price. Definitely a better deal than the BA newborn dolls… My daughters have a couple of those and they ARE itty bitty! 🙂

I love these and so does my toddler. She has the monkey and takes it everywhere. Can’t sleep without it. It’s so bad I had to buy one off eBay for $25 in case something happens bc I can’t find it anywhere! Label says not machine washable, but I may try since I have a backup, and maybe the bunny will leave a friend.

I’ve washed my daughters on the gentle cycle in the machine and then let them air dry. They wash up VERY well! 🙂

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know! After a year and a half of spot cleaning, “monkey baby” is looking a little gross… or very loved 🙂 Still holing on to the extra monkey just in case!!

        • MommySpendsLess

My mom used to put my Cabbage Patch dolls in a pillow case then put it in the washer. She’d let them air dry (she’d hang them on the clothesline with a clothespin on each hand…even years later its an amusing mental image 🙂 )

Ohhhh! I loved these growing up. I had twin boys 🙂 fraternal obviously. That littlebone with the moo cow outfit may be just the new toy our family needs, lol, you can take a girl out of the eighties but that’s it.
