Super easy to use and it does not shred the pineapple. It cuts it in one continuous spiral. And I love how it leaves behind the core and the shell, and if you break off the core, you have a nice drink container!

I consider myself pretty good with knife when cutting the pineapple, but this tool is hands down one of the best tools I have ever used. MUST HAVE if you like pineapple.

oo that’s fun! i always make the bf do it, or just don’t buy them

  2. Lindsay

Is it just me or does it look like you would yield A LOT more fruit cutting it yourself?

    • Michelle

I was wondering the same thing!!

    • Wanda

You do get real close to the skin of pineapple, & I think you get the most out of the fruit.

      • Michelle

Thanks Wanda! I ordered it because I really do hate cutting pineapple, lol! I realized that I cut about the same amount off anyways, so I might as well buy this and save time! 😀

      • Lindsay

I’m not hard to convince so I’m going to get it to try it out 🙂 Thanks everyone.

        • Lindsay

Before you order, just a heads up I just got my confirmation email and the delivery date says April 15 – May 1st. In case you planned on using it soon.

          • Beth

The seller is in Hong Kong. But, as an aside, I ordered that silly head massager thing that Collin posted a few weeks ago & it was from China. The delivery estimate was lengthy, too, but it came in about ten days. Super fast! Thanks for this deal, Collin! I’ve always wanted to try out one of these things and this price is fantastic. Couldn’t pass this one up.

No, you actually get more fruit this way. You aren’t losing all the pieces trying to get the little bits left behind. I *LOVE* mine and I use it quite often. It is super easy to use. I put the pineapple in a bowl to collect all the juice too. I just bought another one while on sale.

    • Eyez

Lindsay, I was frantic about buying this. ordered from ebay last year. I liked it at first until I saw that I was losing alot of the pineapple. Now mine sits on the shelf and I prefer to use a knife. Just a personal preference.

  3. Wanda

I have this kitchen tool. We totally love it, I would not be without it. I paid alot more.

    • Hope

Wanda, does this tool help you get most of the pineapple, or is a lot left behind with the peel?

      • Wanda

It gets most of the fruit out, leaving just a thin shell. Just cut off the top of the pineapple, line up the tool with the core, & twist.

    • Misty Nicole Overstreet

That makes me feel better, as I have had one for a few weeks sitting in the wish list section of Amazon. This unit is better priced, and my mother loves fruit. Win-win, thanks!

  4. Samantha

I don’t have this pineapple slicer, but I have another one, and I LOVE it. It gets most of the fruit out, and it is sooo much easier to slice a pineapple. I love it. I paid $10, but I would pay more. That’s how much I love it and think it’s worth the money. Do yourself a favor if you like pineapple and purchase this. It’s amazing!

  5. cindy

Thanks. This looks great. Can’t wait to try it.

  6. Ashley

I bought one just like this 4 years ago at yard sale for 10 cents. We have used it so many times. It gets mostly all of the fruit out and will even core it and leave you with a pineapple bowl that you can serve your pineapple in or for drinks! The kids love to do it and suck the juice with a straw from the pineapple bowl.

  7. Mary

I have a similar one from pampered chef. You still have to cut the top off, so you still gotta dirty a knife, I’m assuming its the same way with this.

  8. Kristina

It says discontinued by manufacturer. I have my eye on the OXO slicer but this is tempting.

    • Amanda Perez

Where did you read that at?

  9. sne3103

Just got one! Pre-cut pineapple is always so much more expensive than whole ones, so even if there’s a little bit of wastage, I’ll hopefully get my money’s worth… hope it works!

    How appropriate for Psych Wednesday!

    • Guest

      Best. Post. EVER!

This tool will finally make it possible to serve multiple pineapples at a potluck. Who wants to stay in the kitchen cutting up enough pineapples for everyone, while others are having fun socializing?

  12. Beth

I hate cutting pineapple so I thought I’d give this a try too.

  13. Alison

I own this and LOVE it. I paid $20 and still think it was worth every penny!

  14. Mae

One of nature’s most powerful healing agents is the pineapple plant. BUT don’t throw away those stems…. the most powerful benefits are contained there. Cut the leaves and stem up with scissors and a good knife to save them for juicing and you’ll have your own [fresh] bromelain supplements… one of the most potent natural anti-inflammatory agents on earth.

  15. Amy H.

    $5.72 now…every penny helps! ;o)

  16. Ketsy

This is a great tool but it does leave some pineapple in and on the bottom if you dont go far enough. What I do is scrape it with a spoon and make a drink inside the pineapple 😀

  17. Leslie Costic

I want to make drink cups out of the pineapple shell, this summer. Anybody know if I have to freeze them first?

    • Ketsy

No just do not continue all the way to the bottom because they will leak. You just have to be careful with this first pocess. Then spoon put a bit more if you wish 😀

  18. Amy

Thanks! I have been wanting to buy one of these. I hope it works good.

  19. Jen

I have one of these tools and love it! I have had it for a couple years and it works great. It does leave a small amount on the sides of the pineapple, but it also depends on how big the pineapple that your slicing is. Great idea to scrape it into a drink! Thanks

  20. Sharon

In for one! Trying to cut pineapple is a pain, hopefully this will help!

  21. Suzanne H

Buying as a gift for someone that always buys pre-cut pineapple. The money wasted not to mention the leeched nutrients always bugs me!

  22. Heidi

It got such good reviews so i had to try it, for $5.72 — not too bad.

  23. redhairedchick

    $5.72 & I have some credit, so $1.86 for me! Sweet! 😀

  24. Laura

Pineapple is my husband’s favorite fruit. I will be buying it more often now that I have something that makes it so much easier! He (and I) thank you Collin! 🙂

  25. Danielle Huberty Krukar

OMG! thank you soo very much. I price match pineapple ALL time time from ALDI’s, so im always cutting pineapple and this is going to save me so much time! thanks again.

  26. Holly

Super excited about this! Nearly bought one for much more money. Woo hoo! I love deals!

  27. Jennifer

Got it 🙂 I don’t usually go for amazon deals as posted but this one looked tasty with spring and summer ahead of us! I had over $90 in gift cards thanks to swagbucks so I got it and a lot of other stuff for free 🙂

  28. Tara

Received mine today, and it was very obviously used, so it will be going back.
