YAY! I am headed to CVS today to get loads of candy for our LARGE family Easter party on SUnday… THANKS!

  3. miki

Would it still deduct if you buy non-Easter stuff?

    • MommySpendsLess

It’s pretty clearly intended just for Easter items so I wouldn’t try to use it on anything else…but if you’re asking if you can purchase $15 worth of Easter items and also buy additional things in the same transaction, that should work just fine.

  4. Melissa

It also says cannot be combined with any other CVS store coupons too.

  5. Amy

If you buy (6) bags of m&m’s at cvs right now and use this $3/$15 coupon along with (2) $2/3 mars coupons with the buy 4 for $12 get back 4 ecb’s deal that cvs has going on that would make each bag only $1.17 each ! Not too bad !!

  6. bb

    buy 6 snickers 2/$1=$3
    buy 4 m+m(9.9-12.6 oz) 4/$12
use $3 off wyb 15 cvs coupon
use 1/2 mars easter products (sorry dont remember newspaper date)
use 1.50/2 IP M+m chocolate candles (9.9oz or larger)
    =6oop
    Plus rec. 4 ecb

BB, can you please explain your deal a little better than this. I would really liek to try this scenario later today. Thanks!

      • bb

I had 2 internet printable coupon for $1.50/2 … so i used 2 of them which take off 3 dollars. Sorry dont remember when i print them. I think it was from coupon.com. And I used 3 * $1/2 mars easter products from last month insert dont remember the date.

In this week ad, the m&m deal is when you buy 4 for $12, you received 4 ecb.
Also in the ad snickers egg is for 2 for $1, I used the 1/2 MQ which make them free.. on the coupon it has a picture of the snickers egg as mars candy. I also used todays cvs promotion printable coupon when your spend $15 you get $3 off.

        Hope this help.

Yes, your breakdown helped a whole lot. Now I have 1 last question. According to a coupon database, the $1.50/2 Mars M&M’s chocolate candy is a Target coupon. Is that only good at Target, or is it a MQ that I can use anywhere? Thanks BB

          • bb

i had my coupon for couple of weeks now. The coupon I had is MQ not target.

  7. bb

Would this be able to be used as a competitor’s coupon at Walmart?

    • Ashley57

My Wal-Mart does not allow competitor coupons, just ad matching.

  10. Caitlin

I used to get CVS store $/% off coupons nearly every week but haven’t in a really long time! 🙁

  11. Carrie

Thanks so much for sharing! 🙂 I used it this morning with two transactions:

    Huggies Pull ups $10 x 3 = $30
    * used three $2 off coupons I received from a woman at Publix the other day
    * paid $25.80 with tax and received $10 ECB

    Hershey’s eggs (various flavors) $3 x 4 = $12
    Peeps $1.50 x 2 = $3
    * used $3 off $15 Easter coupon posted today
    * used $2 off 3 Hersheys
    * used $10 ECB from first transaction
    * paid $1.14 (just the sales tax) and received $4 ECB

The cashier was very nice and even impressed, and I’m excited to have scored free candy and $4 leftover in ECB. 🙂

What do they count as an Easter purchase? I wanted to get my son the Hobbit movie for Easter because he’s past the candy, easter bunny, & egg hunt thing. I would count the Hobbit as an Easter purchase, because I’m buying it for an Easter present.

    • Lisa Abbott (@csupink26)

Never mind, I called them and the guy I spoke to said it would count but it is on sale right now for $24.99. Last week it was$16.99, I wouldn’t call $24.99 on sale.

  13. Joy

Don’t see the coupon on the website or in my email..is it gone now? thnx JOY

I used my coupon today, but it was frustrating to get the $15 total. I had to keep checking the prices because it is based on the sale prices. Some Easter things are 25% off, some are buy 4 for $5,( but something like $1.77 if you only buy 1). Also had a little trouble with the Hallmark ECB because I used the coupon for $2 off when you buy 3 cards. After she deducted the coupon, my total was below $10 so it did not trigger the ECB. I went back and got a 99 cent card and then it worked! I am new at this…how long does it take to really get the hang of it???

I’ve been at it for a couple years and I still have an occasional stumble at the register. Now when I go to CVS, I have a list of things that I want to purchase and I have the coupons pulled for those items. Then when I have the items in my buggy, I proceed to the back of the store and take a seat near the pharmacy and start writing down my scenarios/transactions on paper. I write down the item and the cost and then I total it. Then I write down the amount of my coupons one at a time and start subtracting them from my total. I write down the name of the coupon as well as the amount. I hand them to the cashier in the order that I wrote it on my paper. I also write down the extra bucks I am using and I hand them to the cashier in that order too. I make sure that I receive the extra bucks at the end of the transaction. It takes a lonnnggggg time to prepare at home and also in the store, but it pays off in the end because I usually pay $0.00 and receive extra bucks for my next trip. I also like to go on Sat afternoon around 4pm because I’m able to get this week’s and next week’s deals 🙂 Last month I donated a basket full of toiletries to the Ronald McDonald house. This month they have asked for toilet paper, so I’m donating several packs of that. Happy shopping and good luck 🙂 🙂 🙂

      • sheri

Wow, thank you for the suggestions!! I did not know the new sale would be in the system that early on Sat. How do you know what will be on sale? Why does it matter what order you hand the extra bucks?
Also, I have a pharmacy card and a regular Extracare card but the numbers are different. Do you have both cards? I think I can merge them somehow.
