Totally off subject, sorry! But does anyone have any tips on potty training a boy?! I’m having a very hard time getting my 3 year old to want to. I’ve tried rewards, but that’s getting so expensive and I’m not getting anywhere with it. Any ideas? Thanks.

My son had a hard time with that too. He was partially potty trained, and then he went to daycare/preschool (they actually taught up to 5th grade) and was fully potty trained in a week. It was being around other potty trained kids that did the trick for him. Good luck!

Maybe having Dad show him will help? That helped for us. Also, we first taught our son sitting down and moved on to “aiming for cheerios” once he got older and more coordinated.
To encourage you…my girls were fairly easy to potty train and done by 3 but my son was harder to motivate and was older by the time he finally decided it was worth the effort…which for him was knowing he couldn’t go to preschool unless fully potty trained.
Maybe you just want to take a break until he is more motivated to learn? This comes when he sees that most of his friends are out of diapers too 🙂

Same problem here! My son turned 3 in October and I just can’t get him to do it! I’ve tried every approach and he just wants nothing to do with it. I’ve taken a break and suggest you do to bc you’ll just waste your time if he is not ready. Everyone I talk to says boys are usually difficult and just wait until they are interested and they will get it quickly.

We used a potty chart with stickers. He was rewarded with stickers everytime he potty. With 8-9 consecutive stickers he was rewarded with a big prize(some toy from dollar tree, etc.) When he had accidents sad faces were drawn on the chart. Be consistent and try to make him go every 30 min to 1 hour interval. Also check out pinterest for ideas.

I agree my 3 year old was the same till dad stepped in to make it “cool”

My three year old pretty much day time potty trained himself one day when I got busy with baby brother and forgot to put his pull up back on. Then I learned that lots of people swear by this “naked potty training”. Worth a shot!

Hey Collin, thanks for posting all of these wonderful deals. You have helped me save so much. I recently delivered a baby girl and I’m now trying to save bit by bit. I want to know about all the saving programs or ideas that I can do. I recently searched for Box tops of education but I came to know it is for the kids who go to school. I’ll really appreiciate all the tips and ideas that you and my fellow readrs can give me. Thanks again.

I was at my Target this weekend (7/20) and saw they were clearancing off all the Similac Bottles and Nipples. The 2-pack SimplyStart Bottles were down to $3.98, so if they accepted this coupon, it would be a good deal!

They also had the 2-pack of stage 2 nipples clearanced for $1.98 as well.
