Really bummed that my order was cancelled too!! I was really looking forward to getting these. Does anyone think calling customer service would be a waste of time since it looks like everyone’s order was cancelled? They should honor their deal and just say they are back ordered.
Allison, maybe if all of us called, they will give us something, either get them when they are back in stock for that sale price or pick them up in store for the sale price. I will call when i get a chance today : )

I hear ya as I do not typically “shelf clear” but sometimes we are taking care of more than 1 family (I do the shopping for 4 families) so don’t get upset for those of us who do order the limit =)

I called staples and I was told that there was an error on their website and they never had any magic erasers in stock in the first place to be able to sale any and that is why all orders will be cancelled.

Email them. There was a marker deal last year that they canceled and they gave a store credit after speaking to them. It cannot hurt to try.
My order was cancelled, too. Out of stock. And the email said there are no rainchecks. I went ahead and cancelled my trash bags order. Not too happy with Staples. I think they did this last year with that HUGE toilet paper promo that we all ordered a years supply and it was cancelled days later.
i called and the guy said there’s nothing they can do. he offered to call when they were in stock but said i would have to pay whatever price they were when they came in. uh no. terrible.
I called and the guy acted like he didn’t know so let me check…I find it hard to believe he didn’t know. Later in the conversation he slipped that they shipped all they had and then the emails started going out with the cancel notices. It’s one thing to run a promo, it’s another to not backorder it if you run out. It’s rare that stores just CANCEL orders, so I still think someone screwed up.

My order was cancelled. What a big fat disappointment. They already charged my credit card so I called them. The lady who answered my call was pretty rude and kept cutting me off. She semed like she was a rush to get me off the phone. I’m NOT happy with Staples and seriously doubt I will buy anything online from them.

no actually i’ve ordered from them recently and they messed up my order big time and once was so rude about it when i called in.

Mine also got cancelled to and top it off said did not charge me and i checked right away it was taken off my bank right away and i check to see if they put it back and it not showing and i order it 3 time at 10 each order makes me kinda mad so now i get the joy of getting them on the phone to get my 30.00 back Oh the fun of that.
that’s interesting, as I was told that they only charge after they ship and since the order was cancelled prior to shipping (or in this case lack of shipping), there should be no charge (at least I have not seen a charge…yet). Hope you can get this resolved – just remember, I’m sure these CS reps have been bashed enough about this promo so try to stay calm; my rep was really nice when I called.
I reserved 1 for store pickup because it wouldn’t allow me to reserve more, but the cashier allowed me to buy a few more for the same price when I picked them up today! I also ordered 10 on-line because I wasn’t sure I would even get 1 by reserving it because they send you an email a few hours later and let you know if they have them available. Well I checked my cc and they have already billed me for the 10 I purchased on-line, and sent me a confirmation email, however when I go to my “tracking” it shows (0) zero shipped and out of stock, so I assume it is canceled?? Hope they refund me quickly, but I’m super excited with the 4 boxes I got in the store today for .99, they are big boxes, I was almost expecting them to be miniture size for that price, but wow they are nice!!! Thanks Collin, this was an awesome deal even if I didn’t get 10 boxes!
lucky you, they told me that this was an online promo only and believe me, I have had a mess with Staples this past month so I wasn’t even going to attempt to “get an exception” again for something else. Overall though, I have always been pleased with Staples CS…dealing with the manufacturers of the products is a different story!
Shayla they are incorrect because it had the option to reserve them for the .99 cents on the web page and pick them up at the store. I hope they made a mistake telling you this and I hope they mail them to you after all. I’ve had that happen before, I had a company cancel everyone’s orders but then about a week later orders started showing up in evereones mail boxes, it was wonderful!! I’m crossing my fingers and sending good thoughts that everyone will get their orders because this really was a ‘HIP’ deal!!!
My order for 3 boxes got cancelled too. It’s annoying when companies post deals then cancel the orders. I agree that maybe it was a programming error. Next time I will order and do store pickup if I can. In general, I have to say that my experiences with Staples are hit and miss. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn’t! LOL The staff at my local store can be rude and unprofessional at times.
