This isn’t really that great of a deal… Nutiva coconut oil (which I have heard from multiple people is better) is 57 cents/oz on amazon if you do subscribe and save (or 60 cents/oz if you don’t) for a 2 pack of 15 oz containers while this stuff is 62.5 cents/oz. Just a heads up.

What does everyone cook with coconut oil?

This will probably sound weird, but I melt it down and put it in my smoothies. I’m doing weight watchers, so I’m supposed to have 2 tsp of healthy oil each day, and that is a good way to do it. I’ve baked with it as well, and have had a lot of success with that just substituting for any other kind of oil. You just have to melt it first since it is a solid at room temperature. I haven’t done a whole lot of cooking with it, but that is mostly because my schedule basically forces me into crock pot or grab and go type eating.

Popcorn! I’ve recently begun using it on my skin and it has really cleared up my winter time dry patches.

I sauté’ my veggies with it, put it in smoothies, make hair masks, use on dry skin, use it on burns, ect.

Vitacost has organic, extra-virgin unrefined coconut oil for just over $20 for 54 oz — significantly cheaper.
