My high for today has definitely been the Boise weather! Oh my, I just love the spring. It’s so stinkin’ beautiful! And being outside always puts a smile on my face. My hubby and I took a nice walk too!

I also love watching my kiddos use their imaginations when they are outside playing – so much fun!

And my low for the day, I need some Smooth Move Tea. That’s all I’m gonna say due to TMI and yes, I know that’s a first for me! πŸ˜‰

[h2s_box]Every Monday-Thursday, I share my high(s) and low(s) for the day and I encourage you to do the same in the comment section below. My high(s) will simply be the best or most exciting thing that happened to me today and my low(s) will be something not so great that took place. [/h2s_box]

We are enjoying the weather in Southern Indiana too. And I feel you pain, needing the tea and all. : ) Hopefully you can wear your shirt soon!

One of those days were my feet seem to have been on the go from the time I got out of bed. Couldn’t seem to “find time.” On the other hand, it was nice seeing the grass greener today and, when my grand-daughter says, “Nana, you’re not old, you’re a grandma” seemed to make it all worth it. I think….

  3. Kayla

You are so skinny!! How do you stay so thin? Haha!

  4. Elizabeth

My high was being selected as a winner in one of Hip’s giveaways today!

Today at school the rubber on the bottom of my 13 year olds shoe came completely off during P.E. The coach took him to the locker room and asked him what size shoe he wears, Spence said 12. Then he went to a closet and pulled out a box with a pair of brand new $120, size 12 sneakers. He told my son that the old coach opened a shoe store and donated some shoes to the school. These were the last pair and they had been there for two years because no one in middle school had feet that big. Spencer is so proud of his new shoes and his big feet! Made my day and his too.

    • Amanda

      That is so nice!

    • janel

      That’s awesome

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! What an amazing coach. So great!

    • cathycampo

Wow! Wow! Old coach and new coach are so nice.

  6. jhnicole

High: made pineapple coconut muffins that the kiddos wolfed down and raved about.
Low: Snow and cold temps. πŸ™ I thought spring was here.

    • Jen

I’m with you. This snow and wind needs to go away!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yum! Those Pineapple Coconut muffins sound delicious! Would you be willing to share the recipe?! πŸ™‚

      • Amber

I’m a cheater. All my muffins start with cake mix. This one:

        1 box white cake mix
1 cup purΓ©ed pineapple in juice (applesauce consistency)
2 packages Better Oats original w/flaxseed, food processed
        3/4 cup water
        1/4 cup coconut oil
        2 egg whites

Mix everything, spray cupcake pan with cooking spray oil, bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          This sounds delicious!! Thanks much!

          • Amber

No problem. Hope everything comes out okay. πŸ˜‰

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The high for today, free shrimp from Outback. The low for today, my mother’s Alzheimer’s disease had an episode today, and the realization that being born a later-in-life only child and a caretaker can be tough; I just keep saying my mantra that I’m too blessed to be stressed! πŸ™‚

    • Gayle

I am in your situation too. I like your mantra. It helps to be positive.

For every person you look after in old age, there will be a person to look after you when u reach old age. It’s the circle of life. Stay blessed:)

    • Erica

I feel you sweetie! My highest high in the past two months has been my baby girl being born and my lowest low of the past two months has been my dad needing to be moved into a memory care home for his Alzheimer’s. I’m an only child too but luckily I still have my mom to help with his care but I hate seeing what this is all doing to her.

  10. Julie Fuhrer

My high is reading your great deals several times a day. My low, well the paint in our bathroom is starting to peel.

  11. Maggie

My high today was being selected for the Qdoba House Party!! Yay!

…and about 30 minutes later my high came down when I realized I locked my house keys inside my house! And both my husband and parents are out of town! Luckily we gave a key to my friends when they let our pets out once. Whew! But unfortunately that meant a couple extra hours figuring all that out that I was going to use to go to Target.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Congrats on getting selected to host a House Party! πŸ™‚

      • Maggie

Thanks! I’m pretty excited about it–it is the first one I’ve been selected for and we plan to have an awesome Cinco de Mayo party!

  12. Ashley

My high was the weather here too! My low was getting a 50 cent piece sized planters wart removed from my heel. No fun but I’m so happy it doesn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought it would! So all in all good day! πŸ™‚

  13. Stacey

My high…that it was my day off and I got to spend it snuggling in bed with my daughter on a cold rainy day.

My low…that I’m sick with a sinus infection and had to go to the doctor.

  14. Danielle

My low is that the power went out during school today for four hours…imagine no lights in basically a basement room with 15 first graders. No fun! And a ice storm, and snow and freezing rain. Ick. My high-sort of- is that we have no school tomorrow! I can relax, get things done, and watch tons of movie with the heater on. Boo this SD winter in April!

    • Cherie

Sorry to hears about your day! I’m in SD, too, and today’s weather definitely stinks! So ready for spring

  15. chrissymaem

My high was watching my oldest son halter train his new heifer for 4-H. He was so patient and persistent. He has a goal to place in the top 5 in showmanship this year.
My low none of the kids would even taste the new fried chicken receipe I made this evening. And it was sooooo good too!

  16. C

My high was spending a fun morning with my kiddos and snagging a really cute jean jacket for my daughter for only $5 at JCP. My low was having a stupid argument with my hubby.

  17. Linda

You are hilarious, Collin! I had to google what Smooth Move tea was and it was what I was thinking. That’s too funny!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

  18. Barb

My high was hearing that my son did well on his class trip to a theater for a broadway celebration and he stood out in the musical number when the judges selected him and another student to be an all star. I didn’t really have a low today thank goodness so I guess I will get a double whammie tomorrow. lol.

  19. Keri opheim

My high today was watching my 1 year old try to cram a Cheerio up her nose like its a quarter in a candy machine lol, my low was being bored outta my mind the rest of the day!

    • Laura

You made me laugh. Sounds exactly like my days!

  20. Ronni

My low….was stuck at a train crossing on my way to work this morning for 10 minutes. My high….on the drive back I beat the train!

Our weather here in Ohio has been quite nice lately too, though we are suppose to be getting thunderstorms soon.

My highs today was feeling great for the first time in weeks and getting some spring cleaning done. Plus my 2 year old daughter kept coming up to me and giving me hugs and kisses all day.

No lows today!!!! Which is another high!!!!

  25. Ginny

My high today is being so blessed everyday! My low is the offer on our house has hit a wall. We will climb over or under that wall I know. God is good! And I know our house will be SOLD soon!

  26. Amy M

I must be very blessed today, because my highs seriously outnumber my lows! πŸ™‚
Low- We are still waiting on a check from my husband’s job that was supposed to be deposited yesterday… Boooo
High- I finally kicked the food poisoning that I had for an entire day, and we booked our trip to Orlando a few weeks from now. We only live a couple of hours away, but my sister in law is flying down from NY, and my brother in law and his family are coming too! πŸ™‚

  27. Lana

My high was my 7 month old grandson being here for the day! I can’t think of a low!

A raw apple or two for breakfast will really help you!

  28. Amy

Collin- just eat something with pancake syrup. The syrup works every time! We learned about this from a pharmacist who was trying to help us when our then 2 yr old daughter was experiencing that issue.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Really?! I have never heard this tip before… and am definitely going to have to try it! Thanks!

      • tracy

Try to eat papaya. It helps all the time..

    • Heather C.

Yep, my daughters doctor told me the same thing years ago when she was having potty troubles as a toddler!

    • Michelle C

I’ve heard this one too, especially here in the south with our babies we put Karo syrup in their bottle of formula if they are having problems as well. Old wives’ tale πŸ™‚

  29. Cece

Today was an awesome day! It got up to 81 in Northeast Indiana! I opened the windows, cranked up the radio, and made two dozen triple chocolate-filled cupcakes. Did good on my diet today…except for those πŸ˜€

    • cathycampo

That sounds like a very yummy day to eat 24 cupcakes all by yourself in one day.

  30. Deedee

Collin is that a baby bump, or just a shadow from the tree making the bottom of your belly look like it is a little round? You look great either way!!!!
My high-letting my girls splash around in their kiddie pool today (in the 80s here today).
My low- getting called by my preK girl’s teacher to inform me of her bad behavior.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

lol… not prego. It may be from the doughnut holes and Easter candy I consumed yesterday and the fact that I am in desperate need of Smooth Move tea! πŸ˜‰

      • Michelle

You don’t look prego at all. But, you do make beautiful kiddos… πŸ˜‰

        • Em

I see where she is getting that, the shadow does make it look like you have a cute baby bump- but when you look beyond the shadow you’re definitely flat tummied…jerk. πŸ˜‰

      • Lovehurt

Ladies!!!! Papaya or pumkin seeds will work the magic!!!!!!! Plus taste good!!!!

        • Letty

@ Lovehurts the papaya and pumpkin seeds Mixed together?

          • Lovehurt

Smoothies yes or separately works perfectly

      • Deedee

Well as I said you look amazing. I figured it was the shadow, but I know how you like to do silly things. Posting a pic to see if anyone notices would be a fun way to tell people. So I just thought I’d check. You’re obviously tiny, and I know you have a good sense of humor, so I wasn’t too worried you’d take offense.
        Thanks for your wonderful site!

  31. Karen

My high is that the kids and I both got the day off due to a snow day! I was so excited to have a day with just us at home. My low is when they started fighting for most of the day.

  36. Ashley

Low- my kids and I have been sick for days and unfortunately they don’t sleep when they’re sick πŸ™ Plus, we’ve got SNOW on the way, ick!

High- I got all my housework done today and even cleaned my windows (which I rarely do, and then remembered why when my 3 year old promptly started licking them all and ‘drawing’ with her spit fingers, lol).

  37. kelly

Not so nice here in mpls, mn. It looks like winter is returning. Also got yelled at by a patient’s dad because our clinic could not over his child free shots with his already free doctor visit. New vaccine regulation thing. On the up side, side my headache finally went away. Tomorrow will be better.

  38. Destinee

My high was listening to my 2 year-old talk all day (he talks more and more everyday). My low was the stress of not having jobs and health insurance currently…my hubby just got out of the Navy and we moved to a different state thinking the economy was a little better than where we were before…but no luck yet πŸ™

  39. Ashlee

It looks beautiful outside! Send some of that nice weather in MN, we are suppose to get SNOW πŸ™ The high for the day for myself, I had the day off from work! πŸ™‚

  46. Lovehurt

My highlight of the day! I made I awesome pot of noodle soup from scratch. Husband and kids love love it!
My down ! I had been accused by my desperate for attention mother in law for calling her a B word since three days ago. She’s spreading her accusation toward me to her 9 kids. Each of them is calling me with anger and threat. It hurts so much for being accused by the people who you went out of your way to be nice to. Thanks for allowing us to share our up and down. Thankss

    • molly

That is just an aweful story, wished so many times I could divorce the inlaws, but fortunately (I know this sounds mean) but they have both passed on about 5 years ago. I’m not sad, only sad my kiddos no longer have grandparents. Sometimes inlaws and sis/bro inlaws are just pain aweful. I hope your husband sticks by your side and tells his mom to grow up and his siblings as well for calling you and making threats. That’s just aweful, sorry to hear anyone going through that (been there done that) I can only hope and pray that I don’t do that to my kids when they grow up someday. Just remember to be a better person and not do what your mean o’l mother-in-law is doing, and be the best mother-in-law you can be, that is the best revenge – And you will be loved for it by those who matter most in your life (your kids)! Too bad for the mean ones, who pass out of this world without much thought, I’m sure you can’t for that day, sorry I’m feeling mean today, diet pills do that to me. Cheer up, keep making your awesome soup from scratch and pray for her and your accusers. πŸ™‚

  47. Tracy
