Please don’t support this company. They have launched a new campaign targeted at middle school aged girls. I disagree on so many levels with this. Please show them we do not want our children being there target audience. Don’t buy Victoria’s Secret!!
VS has publicly said that its campaign does not target middle school or high school girls. It is part of the PINK line targeted at college-aged women. This was a minor marketing oops, but should not be held against the company.
Interesting they used Justin Bieber for a campaign launch. I don’t know many college age girls who like Bieber. But plenty of tweens do. I sub in my district’s elementary schools (K-5), junior high (8-9) and middle school (6-7). You would be shocked by how many tweens and teens are wearing the PINK line. As young as 3rd grade!
I’m 23 ( and actually technically older than “college aged girls”) and I love Justin bieber… And the pink line…The 7 year old little girl i on the other hand… Can’t stand him. To each their own…
The pink line is mainly sweat pants and hoodies that either say just pink or love pink on it I am not sure why that is so controversial to wear for a child. It is your option as a parent to choose to buy it fr your child if you do not think its appropriate then use your right as a parent and do not purchase it for them.
There is no product line targeted at children. Bright Young things is another college aged line.
VS clearly states it’s for college aged students. They even advertise it on their PINK items such as “dorm pants.” Honestly if you don’t want your middle school aged daughter wearing their “inappropriate” clothing than don’t buy it for them because obviously they don’t have a job yet. I agree with you, I wouldn’t want my young daughter wearing their undergarments either.
I totally agree with Amanda, I am the parent not a company such as VS!
Tiffany- you really ought to research before calling for boycotts. The Bright Young Things campaign was a marketing stragedy for Pink in order to get more college students to buy their stuff for Spring Break.
This contreversary has been good for stock though, woot.
I am a mother who enforces a strict dress code with my preteen and teen daughters. I am also a single mom on a limited income like the rest of the country’s families. VS has many undergarment items and clothes that are OK for teens (in my humble opinion). My teen wants to have name brand clothing like other teens. I get free panties from VS all year long. I pick out items that are age appropriate and modest but still have the VS logo. I save the items all year and then give them to my teen for Xmas. Makes for a wonderful Xmas gift and also saves me lots of expense. I have been doing this for a couple of years. I also get some of the deals like the one posted today and sometimes just buy VS items to put away for Xmas or b-day. VS has been an extremely good company to buy from and I stick to my “modest and strict” dress code I have for my teen without any problem when making purchases. (I just hide the sales book when it arrives in the mail. HA! HA!)

Chrissy – do you have a retail store near you? You can bring them back and they will ship it back to .com for free. I returned my bralette too. What a joke.
Those bralettes are like training bras. I bought my daughter some (without lace) because she doesn’t like bra clasp and VS last a lot longer than the target ones. And came out to be cheaper. I actually ordered too small and went to the store and exchanged them with no problems.
That’s exactly what they’re like! I would return but I actually like the panties that I got with them so I’m just going to try to sell the bralette/bandeau.
You don’t have to return the panties in order to return the bra. You can simply keep the free panties and just return the bra, this happened to me in the past and they were gladly able to help me return it with no problems. Just take it to your local store and return it or just call VS (dot) com.

You’re not actually supposed to wear them as a bra (LOL)! You wear your regular bra under them, then wear a low cut tank or low side tank and have the bralette peak out from under it. I also wear them with sheer tops in the summer for a sexy look. Just an FYI that you are 100% not supposed to wear them in place of your typical bra 🙂
I’m glad you sad that about the not wearing them as actual bras… I was just going to say that! They’re adorable, I love them (I wear them how you do!), but they’re absolutely not made for support haha. 🙂

Can you just roll your rewards cards to a gift card? Someone mentioned that last time – I can remember how to do that?
Yes I do this every time they have the secret rewards all you have to do is get a GC online it’s free shipping use the reward card to pay. Only downfall is that the lowest amount you can get for the GC is $25 so you end up paying $15 out if pocket. It’s worth it for me Bc I shop here a lot though.

Did that work for you ladies this time around? I did that more than a year ago, but when I tried it two weeks ago, it didn’t work – was charged $25 instead of $15 even though during the transaction it showed that my $10 reward was applied. 🙁
just an FYI these have minimal support. Kinda like those tank tops with the “shelf bra” they sell everywhere, however they are good for me at night as I am nursing and the stretchy material is good for whipping out a meal for the LO. It’s not anywhere as tight as a sports bra. I can’t get away with no bra at all because I need some structure but no clasps or wires or clips digging into me as I sleep is great.

You need to add the free panties to your cart. Use the item numbers in the picture above to find the items faster (DC-……-…..). Also, I think the free panties can only be for solid colors, not prints.
