this is a dvd/movie. i highly recommend it!! i happened to buy a used copy at a rummage sale and after watching it every day for a few weeks, my 3 year old knew ALL of her letters and the sounds they made! she was reading by age 4, with much credit going towards this dvd.
If I had to buy just one DVD for my kids, it would be Letter Factory. It helped both of my kids learn their letter sounds, and it kept them engaged. I played it in the car, so they were happy getting to watch a DVD, & I was happy because they were learning!
I almost forgot about this DVD. My 2 yr old enjoyed watching this DVD even before he could talk. After seeing this I’m considering buying the iTunes version ($9.99) just to have on our phones/iPads for his viewing pleasure. That way he can watch whenever he wants & learn his letters now that he is talking more. 🙂
It says the price is now $8.69. But this is one of my kids’ favorite Leapfrogs to watch.
My twin boys could say the sounds each letter made by the time they were 18 months old thanks to the letter factory! They were fluently reading by 3.5yrs old, and at 5 they can read just about any book we have laying around the house 🙂 Can’t say enough great things about the Letter Factory!!!!
Agree with everyone else- my 3 year old learned all of the alphabet sounds after watching this just a couple of times! It’s amazing!
This is mandatory viewing at my son’s preschool. My 2 year old knows all his sounds and most of his letters just from watching this with his big brother. A MUST buy for all parents of preschoolers in my opinion!
