Ask your manager if you can get a substitute, they had a sign hanging at my store. I got Biscoff Spread yesterday.
if they’re advertising it again in print this week, just take your ad to fareway, hyvee, target, or walmart and have them match it. my hyvee matched the ad and gave me 4 containers for walgreens’ sale price, and since they don’t have “register rewards” print out after a deal like that, they just put the purchase cost on a hyvee gift card for me to use whenever! gotta love hyvee, i always get such great customer services there. they bend over backwards for me nearly every time i’m in the store, and are so friendly about it all.
I asked about the peanut butter this morning. At my store, the $3RR is printing, but the price is back up to $4.99. They didn’t have it in stock last week, but they do this week.
Our store had 1 jar and it rang up at the register at 4.99, asked manager about it and he had the cashier correct it to ring up at 2.99, with $3.00 RR printing.
I was able to get a substitute for the Planters butter. The Manager at my Walgreens told me that I could grab another bottle of any brand for free. I did send an email with the receipt picture to Collin. It worked for me here in Portsmouth, VA yesterday. I grabbed the Biscoff Spread because it was $4.99 same as Planters regular price. The manager took me to another register and gave me the bottle for free.
THERE WAS A LITTLE SIGN STATING that the Planter will be unavailable, please ask the Manager for a substitute.
I was surprising that they gave me the Biscoff Spread absolutely free. NO TAX.
It was first time trying that spread and it is sooo sooo yummy.

My Walgreens said that they cannot write rain checks or substitute anything for something that was a register reward. I hate Walgreens. I normally don’t even go there because they are always out of everything on sale that I want. The RRs expire in 2 weeks and they won’t let you use 2 coupons if you only buy one item. CVS can do all these things that Walgreens cannot plus their RRs are good for a month.

If you are able to run to Wags tonight, the Band-aids are a good deal. As Ger says above, the ones that have been $1.99 all week, are ringing up BOGO 50% off. PLUS, for every 2 you buy, you get a free Walgreen’s First-aid bag. I got 2 for $6 toothbrushes with 4000 points last week and used my old points to pay, I didn’t get 4000 on my card. Manager said I can’t redeem and earn points in the same transaction. Anyone had this problem?
If you are earning points in a transaction you cannot use points to pay.
They have always cancelled each other out.
one of the downsides to their “rewards” program, you can’t use earned points towards a new points deal. The only way around that is to buy RR items using points or use Points towards RR items.

Walgreens corporate recently sent a memo to stores to start limiting Register Reward items. All stores are interpreting this differently. I frequent a couple stores. One ignores the limit, one has a limit of 5, one has a limit of 2. Ask the cashier and they should be able to tell you.
You do not have to spend all of your balance reward points in 1 transaction. If you have 12,000 points and want to redeem only 5,000 there is an option on the credit card machine or the cashier can enter the points you would like to use. They do have to be redeemed in the increments in the chart at the top of this post, however.

5000 points = $5, so 4750 points = $4.75
You do have to have at least 5000 points to redeem. The chart at the top of this post will outline the point redemption.
