I bought this last September. LOVE IT! The only warning I would give: it is heavy! Which is great, because it holds the heat like a champ, but I would hesitate to give it to somebody like my mother-in-law who would have a hard time lifting it. (And because it’s Lodge, my niece already called ‘dibs’ on it when I get ‘too old’!)

I have a $10.00 victoria’s secret reward card I am not going to use. Expires 4/30. First response, I will e-mail you the card number.

did you still have it? I’m going today.

Sorry, I sent it to the first comment already.

Any idea what country it is made in? I won’t cook in items made in China anymore. Too many horror stories.

I have this exact pot and I checked the pamphlet that came with it. Unfortunately, it is made in China. Hope this helps.
That being said, I absolutely love this pot. Heats evenly, super easy to clean (even easier than my Le Creuset pot), it came with no imperfections and is very sturdy (but heavy). The glaze is heavy and I can’t imagine it chipping (unless I drop it or slam the lid on it).
I prefer to buy USA manufactured products but for the price, this is more than worth it. It is a USA company but the pot is definitely made in China.

Also, in looking on Amazon, the blue and green are $49 and change if you didn’t like the red. A little more $ but if you want a diff color…..

I have been seeing these regularly at sams club for $35/$40.

How does this pot compare to the le creuset quality?

You bring a good question when I first saw this amazon pot from Lodge I wanted it. However my husband said he was willing to pay a little more for durability, wear and tear, and guranteed life time. Lecreset is made in France v- China :)! Lecreset is also very expensive becuase of it’s versized handles provide even weight distribution and a secure grip. Exterior enamel resists chipping and cracking.
Interior enamel is engineered to resist staining and dulling while the sand coloring makes it easy to monitor your food to prevent burning and sticking.

Lodge is a good product but you can order it and buy it anywhere, Target, Walmart, and Sears carry them for about the same price as what Amazon is selling it right now. Lodge is generic brand you might get the enamel to chip off. I have heard some good reviews and some not so good. One review indicated that depending on the oil you use to cook with it may or may not leave permanent stains. Others did not have that problem but noticed over time the paint coming off. It really depends on how they are made.

      Hope it helps.

Ladies Im not downing the product. I still feel it is better then any regular pot or pan.

Personally, I like the Lodge better than Le Creuset. I think they are both equal in sturdiness but I like the Lodge as it’s way easier to clean. Both are the white enamel inside but for some reason, the Lodge cleans up way easier. Even with brown stuff on the bottom. I can’t figure that one out 🙂 I have 2 Le Creuset- a pan and a pot and no matter what I cook, they are a pain to clean. I will have to try a diff oil as the review above noted. I usually use EVOO.
