My Walgreens has some banana boat on clearance for $3 so with the $2 hang tag it makes them only $1 perfect for summertime.

So sad about CVS green bag tags officially ending. Got my $2 ECB this morning. It was good while it lasted!

    • Crystal

i agree. it was a great program. i also got my $2 ECB this morning.

    • Anna

Ironic that CVS is ending right after Earth Day.

    • Suzanne H

I am so sad they are ending the program. It was the most generous of all of the bag programs – most other stores give $0.05. I am really going to miss it – I’ve made a ton of $ using it!

  4. christina

the $2 for the green bag tag is available until the end of may.

  5. rene

My CVS said today was the last day for the green tags.

    • Melissa

      Yesterday was the
last day for the tag scan to count for the $1 eb. Whenever the tag is scanned from today til may 31, you’ll get a one time.courtesy $2 eb.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Thanks for the update!

  7. Susan

Thank you so much Collin for posting about the CVS bag tag! I ran right out to get my free candy bar (coupon printing from the machine at the store) and my $2.00 bag tag credit.

    • Ronni

      LOL….me too!

So the person at my cvs told me that the green tag program was actually in order to save money on bags and that the money saved is going to be donated to some charity but I don’t remember which one. So I’m real happy about it and I wish I would have known now I feel terrible for forgetting my bag.

  9. Laura

Looks like the Buddy Fruits coupon is out of prints

I am so sad that CVS has ended the bag tag program..the clerk at the store told me yesterday it was due to people abusing the program..going to different stores and using it one day. I was told back awhile ago that I was only able to use the bag tag once a day.

    • katie

that clerk doesn’t know what they’re talking about. i’ve gone to different cvs locations in the same day and the clerk has tried to scan my tag because they didn’t know i was at another location already that day. the system doesn’t add it to your total because it knows you’ve already scanned it. for a while it would give double credit, but the system fixed that glitch over a year ago.

      • Amanda

Katie, I’m pretty sure that’s not true. I once went to 3 CVS stores in the same day, I believe, and it scanned at all of them and gave me the credit at all of them. I don’t think that’s abusing the system if it actually scans. And actually, it’s second nature for me to hand it over to be scanned, so I would have just forgotten that I already used it that day. I mean, maybe they fixed it in the last year, but I’m pretty sure I’ve recently used it at more than one CVS in the same day. I am really sad they are ending this program!

        • Jenny

What Katie says is true, at least here in the metro Detroit area. The bag tag credit only applies once a day per account, so if you scan it at multiple stores in the same day, it does not give you credit.
