My target honored the deal
My local Target paper did not have that in there ad ….but the Chicago Tribune did…went to Target and they didn’t even have 3 packs of crest…..just 2 pack for $5.49….was not happy because I wanted to donate it!
My target won’t honor it. she said it was a mis print n only way u can get gift card was if u by 3. This was 520 est I tried.
Mine did not. Luckily, I brought the ad with me and the cashier called over the manager. Instead of giving me the $5 gift card, he took $5 right off my purchase! That was great considering I also had $1/1 Crest coupon, so I got 3 tubes for free!
Went to target in SLO , ca and they honored it. Said corporate was aware of it and the registers would be adjusted by noon. Also three packs are located at te back of the store in the bonus buy section.
I’m hoping they will honor it!!!!! I need to stock up on toothbrushes for our Christmas shoeboxes and if I can get a pack like that for free or .99 I would love it!!!!
This is a great deal, however, although the quality is fair, whenever I do crisis care kits and I’m short toothbrushes, the dollar stores typically have the bigger packs for a decent price per toothbrush. I think I’ll save the headache of fighting them for this deal and just go there instead.
i just did the deal and worked perfectly!! The gift card prompted and I did 3 transactions getting them all for $5 to begin with and leaving with a $5 gift card! 🙂
I can guarantee that at least 3 Targets in our area will pull them all off the shelf until after they close next Saturday. They tend to do that will lots of high dollar coupon items and great deals. A guy that works at one of them told me that he has been known to go the back and get the items for customers. Now to find out when he is working!!!!
That is completely against corporate policy (I worked at Target for 6 yrs). If they have it in the store they should sell it to you (in resonable quantities).
the cashier I had was so funny! She kept sayin, “this is soo much fun!!!” talking about my coupons, and how she wanted to go get some too. She said she watched extreme couponing and loves when people come couponing..let’s just say I got her name and will be going through her line from now on!!!!!! 🙂 lol
Target pulls items for free till sale or coupon is expired.. It’s so sad.
I have had that happen as well. The past two years, the free scotch tape deal is never available at my local target because they remove the tape from the sales floor. Guess they don’t want guests getting free items.
The gift card deal works! Mine has tags up for just buying one. There are more items included as well. 1.5L listerine, Colgate optic white multi pack, Colgate total multipack, Colgate toothbrushes multipack, and of course the crest and oral b. I was able to roll the gift card 15 times :).

Could you buy 5 3 packs in the same transaction and get 5 $5 gift cards? Or does each 3 pack or pack of toothbrushes have to be done in separate transactions?
usually you can do multiple gift card deals, but if you have coupons the limit is 4 “like” coupons per transaction. This is my experience but I did not do this deal.
all good here. actually stopped in Target during the first hour they were open (might be a first for me), and couldn’t find in the toothpaste aisle. i had to be somewhere so i couldn’t waste anymore time, but called the store on my drive voicing my disappointment of not having any, not knowing it was a typo a the moment. the lady said they were in the seasonal department (when is toothpaste considered seasonal?), and set 2 aside for me just in case they sold out. i came back hours later, and they luckily still had some left so i could use all 4 of my $1 off coupons. 12 tubes for $.20. Awesome deal.

Ebay has a ton of the Cover Girl coupons…in the Buy It Now there’s a set of 20 for $1.89! MM on 5 sets = $2.20 – 1.89 = .31 left! Just pay tax! Would be cute for goodie bags and donations!

Has anyone else had problems with target honoring the Loreal advanced hair care coupon? I tried it and explained to the cashier that it stated for any size, and they still wouldn’t accept it.
try it again with another cashier, or another Target.
I have bought tons over the last few weeks, and have had no problems! The coupon scans without any intervention. Just make sure that you have something to absorb the penny overage.
I just bought two of the travel size tonight with no problems (Fishers, IN). The coupon just went through as normal (no beeping) but I did buy a few other items with it.

For those that cannot find the 3 packs…. they are not at the regular aisle, they are at the big pack aisle where they sell bulk items.

This worked like a charm at both of my Target stores! (5:00pm Eastern, Michigan) After scanning the first item, the register prompted the cashier to give me a gift card. It was awesome! I was ready to put on a fight if they wouldn’t honor my ad. Haha I even brought the ad with me! But I’m glad it worked out great for me. Hope everyone was just as lucky!
I also forgot to mention. None of my Target stores had the Crest Whitening 3 pack toothpaste… they only had the 2 pack (6.99) and it was not part of the 5.00 giftcard. Was anyone able to find this product at their store?
the Crest 3 pack was the one item that I could NOT find as well.

well i went to my target in nc, and this store isnt letting it slip by at all, was told by my fsv cashier that they have pulled it all from the shelf even though i got mine from the back of the store

If you don’t see it in the travel section, look by the full size versions. That is where I have found them in my store.
right…at Target I found these by its full size counterparts, whereas at Walmart, I found them by the travel items.
Which reminds me Tiffggrace—it you have a Walmart by you, you can check there as well.
Not sure if you have a meijer by you, I did not find the travel size Loreal at my target in west MI, but DID find them at Meijer in the travel section.

Just went to the only Target in San Angelo Texas. They had a BUNCH of the toothpastes by the toys. I purchased 20 of them, and plan to donate half. I LOVE my Target. It seems I am the only coupon-er in San Angelo, lol!

I wish people who planned on donating stuff would wait till the sale is almost over and get what is left to donate.
I always go and buy what I need during the week and if I have extra coupons at the end of the sale, on the last day I go and see whats left and pick it up (literally as they are taking the tags down)
It really ticks me off that people buy things to donate before people who need it can get what they actually are going to use.
That and people who just grab a ton up to fill up their stock pile. Its so aggravating when you get there and everything is wiped out so that people can feel good about themselves for donating a bunch of stuff before we can pick one or 2 up to use, or buy up a whole bunch so they can add it to their “beautiful” stockpiles.
My bf and I only like to use Oral B toothbrushes, (but we will use other brands if Oral B aren’t free/cheap which means we usually have to deviate) so I hope I can pick up a pack or 2 before people grab them all up to stockpile or donate.
Guess I should try to rush out and get one before they’re wiped completely out. Kinda tough with only one car that the bf takes to work, and he’s too tuckered out to go couponing when he gets home from a long day at work. Not to mention, its a waste of gas when what you are driving all the way for is all gone.
No offense to anyone who just wants to get a couple and donate because they wont use them but Please (!!) remember couponing rule #2… DONT be a shelf-clearer. (#1 of course being use coupons the way they are intended to be used)
This cracks me up. It becomes an “I deserve it more than people who get donated items do” situation.
Sometimes people use “donating” as an excuse to justify buying so much. I used to buy a lot of toothpaste several years ago when you used to be able to get it for free ALL THE TIME. I soon found out that it expires before I could possible use half of it. (what a waste) I still have Nivea Body Wash (about 12 bottles) that I got for free when my daughter was a baby, and she is FIVE now. I probably had 30 bottles at one point. I used to stock up on so many things and it didn’t matter 4-5 years ago because no one else was really couponing that much. All products were always there. I still have so many items from back then, it’s not even funny. But I couldn’t help myself from getting every bargain. Nowadays, I barely coupon at all…too much energy and too often nothing available when I get to the store. I pretty much just shop at Target with coupons now….only place worth it for me. 🙂
I went to my target in Spring, Texas and they honored the deal. Instead of buying the crest 3 pack, I got the Colgate 3 pack, which is $5.99 per 3 pack and if you buy one they will give you a $5.00 gift card. So my store honored this deal on another item just like it says in the add.

@tiffgrace, Target dollar/sample aisle is much like Dollar Tree, each has their own stock items, u may or may not have the sample L’oreal products in yours, not something u should take a 3hr bus ride for!
My Target in Savage, MN honored it! I was pleasantly surprised. The lady at the checkout was super nice and said it was no problem!

There was signage which stated that the deal was ‘But 3, get $5GC’ but I decided to try it anyway. I purchased a 4pk of the Oral B toothbrushes. The cashier was automatically prompted to give me a $5GC. I rolled the deal 5 more times and ended up with 3x4pk TB, and 3x1L Listerine which I used IPs on.
My Target in Portland, Or already updated their system (every store has the capability to manually add itmes to their “sale/promo” list. When I went to get rung up it automatically prompted for the giftcard. YIPPEE!
My Target in Baton Rouge, Louisiana would not honor the deal. I was told I had to buy 3 of the 3-pack packages. It wasn’t with the other toothpaste boxes. It was oddly/randomly placed next to laundry care items, which were not on the regular laundry care isle. strange. I just happened to pass it on my way to the register.

my store honored this awesome toothpaste/brush deal but placed a limit of 2 of each kind per guest. by the time i got there, they were out of the oral b. i got the colgate brushes instead and the colgate paste because there were more ozs. in them than the crest. unfortunately i didn’t have any q’s but it was still a great deal.
Got mine! Used coupons and everything! I ended up getting 5 packs of Crest Oop $15.30 got back $15.05 :D. Amazing DEAL!

This really bums me out. I went at 2:00 eastern time in Jackson Michigan and was told it was an ad misprint. They did not have many. Wish they would have honored it. If they changed it in the register I guess people who got them needed them more then me. As a side note I really did need some. I am so bummed.
This worked perfectly in Washington state. I went and bought 2 different packages of toothpaste and they both prompted for a $5 gift card. I was worried that it wouldn’t because the sign at the store said “wyb 3,” however I got $10 in gift cards. Didn’t even have to pull the ad out. Yeah!
This did work at the target in garden grove ca and in norco ca. I almost want to run out and use as much of the coupons as I can now
my target in sacramento, ca didnt have the $5 gift cards but when i showed them the ad, they just deducted $5 for each package i bought from my total.
Worked awesome here in Murfreesboro, TN & the store signage in the seasonal department read free $5 gift card with purchase of 1…wonder if they’re gonna honor it all week??? I went to Target today and got 4 of the Crest packs. Each triggered a gift card. (The cashier was amazed at the deal and was going to get some for himself). I wanted to see if it worked on the Colgate but didn’t want to push my luck. 2 packs are for my son and girlfriend who are getting their 1st apartment in June. I’ve been getting them household stuff and searching for deals. This fit the bill!
There was quite a bit of everything on the shelves where the bulk stuff is in the back of the store near pation/garden.

yes, it works today. i wasnt going to go but just thought i would try since i had to pick up some other personal care stuff. i was amazed how full the shelves were. i went today thinking the shelves would be wiped out but there was a bunch in the back of the store by the patio & lawn stuff. i actually had a nice cashier today (unlike most times) and she gave me a $5 gift card for each crest toothpaste/toothbrush that i bought. i had 3 toothpaste, 2 toothbrushes and one mouthwash.
I got 3 packs today and got 3 GC. No need to go crazy on this deal since we get free toothpaste all the time!
