Calling all runners, joggers and/or walkers of all ages and fitness levels! If you’re looking to have some unique fun while also getting some exercise this summer, then be sure to check out The Color Run!

The Color Run™, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet :D, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race (love that!) in which participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. Plus, the fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using even more colored powder to create millions of vivid color combinations.

The Color Run caters to all ages – kids and adults alike and to all levels – first time runners to professional athletes (in fact, over 60% of Color Runners are first-time 5k runners!).

For a limited time, Hip2Save readers can head here, choose a race (choose from over 100 locations across the country!) and then use the promo code COLORHIP13 at checkout to save $5 off any race registration. This promo code is valid for ANY city that is not sold out; however, note that most races do sell out so be sure to sign up now to secure your spot.

If you register in a team of 4 or more, you’ll save $5 per individual registration and you can also use the promo code COLORHIP13 so you’ll save a total of $10 per individual registration. Click here for more info about registering as a team versus an individual.

On a side note, I am signed up to run The Color Run Race in Boise on August 24th along with both of my sisters. I hope to see lots of you Idahoans there as well! It should be lots of fun!

This REALLY is a GREAT one!! If you don’t feel like running consider volunteering (you get to throw the color at the runners!!!)

Now that sounds like a great idea. I am not in any kind of shape to run but the next run here is the day after my 2 year anniversary of my first chemo session. I would so love to celebrate in such a glorious way.

My family and I ran one in March. Loved that it wasn’t timed so it was a fun family event that my small children could participate when normally they have to stand on the sidelines and cheer us on! Wear a fun costume or tutus or wigs maybe some cute knee high socks, etc.

looks so much like the indian color festival called “holi” …just that there is no running in holi! 🙂

I did the Run or Dye, which is pretty much the same thing. We walked most of the way because we had the little ones with us, but the kids had a blast throwing the color powder.

  11. Michelle

Doing the SLC race with my kids.

  12. Leslie

They dont even time those races. I would not push myself hard if I was not timed.

There is one near me soon but it is not on the list. Is the code only good for the ones on the list? Or can the code be used for any of the color run races?
