Calling all School Employees, School District Personnel, Homeschool Directors & Teachers, and Book Fair Chair People & Volunteers! If you have a Scholastic Book Fairs Warehouse nearby, check out the email I received from reader, Kate, regarding their huge Warehouse Sale:

[h2s_box]The Scholastic Warehouse Book Spring Sale is now started. The website offers preregistration with a Fast Pass coupon to be used on your purchases. I have attended for years and it is a great way to pick up books for summer reading and gifts. There are adult books as well.

Besides children’s books the sale includes: Klutz craft and activity items, cookbooks, adult bestsellers, and much more. Over the years I have purchased Boyton Mom’s Calendars, Rachel Ray cookbooks, Klutz items, and much more. If you have attended a Scholastic Book Fair at your school, you will have an idea of what you might find at this sale.[/h2s_box]

Head over here to locate the warehouse sale in each state. If there is one in your area, the address with dates and times will be listed. Also, it’d be a good idea to register online before you attend. To register, once you have located an event in your area, click on the blue Sign Up button, you will then be asked to provide your name and email address, along with your zip code and choosing your school from a provided list.

Note, there is also a button you may check if your school is not listed. You will then submit your registration form and you’ll be able to print your Fast-Cart Pass + a coupon for $10 off of $50 spent or $25 off of $100 spent!

(Thanks, Kate!)

Does anyone know if they require your School ID to be admitted. What if you homeschool?

When I have gone in the past they have not asked for any ID. I have always put bookfair volunteer down for my position (which I have been) and it they never did any thing to verify.

I have gone for years, and I always bring my declaration of intent to homeschool just in case, and no one has ever asked for it 🙂 It’s an awesome sale, the prices are excellent!

The warehouse book sales are volunteer run. In my experience, I have received a $10 credit for each hour I worked. I don’t know if that varies by location or not. On the signup form, there is a spot to mark if you want to volunteer. Typically the spots fill up quickly and well in advance of the actual sale.

I went to today, and got a huge box of books. I spent 100.00 so I got to use the 25.00 off coupon. Everything I bought was 50% off cover price, so I got some great things!

I went on Saturday. My kids love books so it is so fun. I was trying to save money this time and only spent $21 but my kids were thrilled with their new books. You go online, register under a school or create a new one and then just take your “fast pass with you. No school ID required.

Does anyone know if you can bring a guest? I have never held any of the “positions” listed, but I have a friend who is a teacher and she is going. So I’m just wondering if I can go in with her.
    Thanks.

It should be open to the public. I was disappointed with mine in Lenexa, KS, mostly just half off the cover price books, left from bookfairs or the little book club flyer sent home with the kids from school. The stuff a box for $25 was a hot spot, and it’s a decent sized box, I just wasn’t interested in those books. They used to have a $1 or super cheap section and they didn’t seem to have a section like that.
