if you shop at warehouse clubs not bad offer, but with coupons and work can get these prob cheaper at stores. There are sometimes things that you cannot get at the stores though. I also have a link. if you use it would be greatly appreciated.

We just joined a couple days ago. Does anyone know how it would be possible to get this deal since its within the week?

    • Elizabeth

You can probably just stop back in and ask for it. Most Costo locations bend over backwards to make their members happy.

  4. Melissa

I think this is the same deal that Coke Rewards offers.

Thanks for posting about this. I’m interested in doing this, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the $50 coupons are beside the few listed? Here is my zulily account if someone is interested. Thanks! Cheers!

Does anyone know what the additional coupons are?

    • Michelle

I am going off of memory here from when I did the deal last year.
There was a coupon for a couple bucks off: salad, cookies, some various home improvement services, ready bake pizza, and a few others than escape me.

  7. Melissa

Collin, I just watched your video. You are sooooooo cute and do an amazing job on the video!

  8. Karen

Does anyone know more details about the $50 worth of coupons other than the 3 free items? Would it even be worth it after already doing the Sam’s club offer?

    • Tilla Ham

in my humble opinion the difference in sams club and Costco is Costco is nordstroms and sams club is good will. Costco is just so much nicer, friendlier, cleaner. I don’t know if in all areas, but in my area, sams club grosses me out

      • Megan

This made me laugh! I live in the land of Costco (Seattle, WA), and Sam’s Club is almost non-existent here. I love Costco and I’m so glad that I live close to them. I’ve never been a fan of Sam’s Club.

    • Jessica

I think Costco is better. They also treat their employees very well in terms of pay and benefits compared to Sams. That is another reason I would choose Costco over Sams.

I agree, you can get many things cheaper with coupons. But I get meat, produce, gas, and dog food at Costco. They have their own brand of grain free dog food Nature’s Domain for $32 for a 35lb bag. Its the cheapest grain free food I have found. Its great if your dog has digestive issues like mine. And coupons rarely come out for the quality dog foods.

    • Liz

I agree with you about the meat & produce- it’s what we mainly get at Costco and they usually have the best quality, too 🙂

      • Tilla Ham

produce for sure and their torta bread and most bakery items are to die for

    • angela

Their dog food is one of the items we buy. My husband used to be a manufacturers sales rep for a really great grain free dog food and he said the Costco stuff is just as good and so much cheaper!

I just got the Sam’s membership from Living Social a few weeks ago. I am loving it so far, maybe when that runs out there will be another Costco deal

  11. mariam

does anyone know if costco offers you two cards for your household with your membership?

    • Kristen

In my experience, yes they do.

    • Tilla Ham

yes they do, my friend and I split the cost since our husbands never go

  12. Robin

I would really like to be able to watch this video! Why is it not available on the hip2save YouTube channel? 🙁

  13. Ashlee

Woohoo! I’ve been waiting for a good deal on a membership. I live in Manhattan where we surprisingly do have a costco. The cost savings for almost everything over the local grocery stores is amazing. I’ve been “sharing” a friend’s membership for a few months.

  14. Betsy

Folks…this is not a deal this is Costco’s normal policy, except you get free chicken, batteries, water, etc. We have a Costco membership and highly recommend them!

That said, their policy is if you have an executive membership and don’t spend enough so that your 2% back covers the difference between a normal and executive membership Costco will reimburse you the difference. No different than this “deal.”

If you don’t have a membership I highly recommend one, and this is a way to get a few free items, but don’t be deceived and think it’s a deal. It’s not. Costco is a great company, but since their profit margin is just 15% they will not have deals on their membership.

    • Anne

My understanding is that the “deal” is the fact that if you get all the free stuff and use the coupons you are in essence getting a membership for $5. That sounds like a “deal” to me!!!

  15. Sindy Albert

Does anyone know if the membership starts when you buy the deal or not until you go to a Costco to activate it? We have one being built opening in July so wondering if I should get this deal and save it for then. Would the coupons expire before then? When they open new Costco’s do they have membership promos that might be better than this? Thanks!

    • vikky

I am looking for the same answers.

  16. caligirl31

I have a Costco AmEx account…can I renew my membership w/ this deal?

  17. spirit11

My Points is offering 550 points if you sign up thru them, same deal.

  18. Ben

I think the video could be more informative. What about things like yeast which is significantly cheaper at warehouse clubs. And I almost never by fruits and veggies there. When you know where to go it is always significantly cheaper elsewhere.
