I stopped shopping at Walgreen’s because I find their cashiers to be rude. Well, I was passing a Walgreen’s yesterday and silly me, I decided to stop in and look at their clearance aisle. I noticed that they had the large pack of TENA for Women Heavy protection Underwear on sale for $11.99 and I had a high value coupon which made the item free. I love donating these items to the dementia ward at the local senior center.

The manager looked at the coupon and said, “Give me a moment”. He went over and made a phone call. I was simply in awe of the whole scenario. It was ridiculous! He comes back over and says rudely, “Where did you get this coupon”? I told him and asked if he can just scan it? He said, “No, it looks fraudulent”. I said OK now what?

He scanned the coupon and it went through with no problem. I asked if everything was OK and he said, “Sure, why not”? Sure why not? You just went into undercover agent mode and you’re asking me sure why not? I kept my cool, purchased my items and left. This is why I don’t like Walgreens. He could have been a bit more professional about the matter. I couldn’t wait to run out of that store.

I feel you, I had something similar happen to me this week at my local Walgreens. I used a high value coupon for a clearance item & the cashier didn’t even bother to read or scan before saying that my coupon wasn’t valid for this item. I read the coupon with her & it clearly matched & scanned with no problem. & then I wanted to pay my balance using my points, I know I had $4 in my account, but then she proceeded to tell me I didn’t have any points in my account. Well low & behold when I went to a different Walgreens the next day & checked out I had no problem paying with my points.

I’ve also had other rude Walgreens experiences, but I don’t even want to go there today.

But in general Walgreens customer service [not to mention coupon policy] can not compare to CVS- I don’t go in there if I don’t have to. & I find that my bad experiences with coupons always occur exclusively with older women- they are so ornery sometimes, whereas generally more younger cashiers(males) are happy for you when you land a good deal.

I had the manager of my rite aid being extremely rude to me today. The price of my vitamins came up incorrectly on the computer and the sale price did not come up. The cashier called over the manager and she started accusing me of taking a peelie coupon off another product and using it on my purchase! The cashier was able to vouch for me that he peeled the coupon off the product himself but she went on to accuse me and made me feel like I was steeloing. She did not give me the sale price and talked to me like I was a child the whole time.

I fully intend to call corporate and file a complaint about this manager. There is no need for her to be rude and accuse me of anything when I was following their polices completely.

I left the store feeling embarrassed, angry and with over paying by $4 for my vitamins. 🙁 It is days like this when I wonder why I still coupon.

I HATE WALGREEN’S STOP GOING THERE!

          • J

Luckly walgreens here havent had hardly any issues but refuse to go to walmart

            • T

Ditto! Love Walgreens…even the workers there are couponers but heck no to WalMart every single time they argue or dont ring up all the coupons. I had $26 worth of coupons not ring up. I went to customer service who then went to the cashier and grabbed my stack. The CSR was very nice and said that’s ridiculous she should have paid more attention. But still I never step foot in WalMart let alone coupon there! Heck no

            • Kelly

I never ever take my coupons to Wal-Mart. Hate that store!!!!

        • Wendy

The nerve, boggles my mind on how someone like that can become a manager by treating customers that way- they must not want business.

      • Luke

Let me just say, I work for Walgreens and we do have some snappy people… Also, the coupon policy is a bit of a hassle at times, but if you play the game correctly, you can usually find some deals. Customer service is supposed to be our bread and butter, but we do fall short lots of times. Hopefully your couponing will continue to go well.
Sincerely, a young male cashier (as someone posted earlier) who does appreciate a good deal. 🙂

I have had the opposite experience at my Walgreens, in fact, it is one of my favorite stores to shop! The staff is extremely friendly, and have no problem with coupons or multiple transactions if there are Register Rewards that I am using on other purchases. However, I do have the same problem as Jamie posted with Rite Aid. One of the stores in my area refuses to give rain checks, even if the ad does not indicate no rain checks and they are horrible at accepting coupons. I refuse to go to that location…..unless……I have a rain check (because Rite Aid rain checks are good at any Rite Aid) and then I make sure I use it there. 🙂

Great deal!! I haven’t shopped at Walgreens much. Can you buy 4 and get 2 free use 2 3/2 coupons and then get 6,000pts or do you have to do two at a time in the transaction? Thanks!

    • ND

I have a similar question. I’m new to this, so is it possible to earn more than one 3000 point? Are there limits like CVS has on the amount of times you can earn?

      • Anne

Last night I did it twice in one transaction.

    • christine

Even if you only get the points once. Still a killer deal. my boyfriend highly prefers these over other shave creams, i got a bunch really cheap awhile ago but be careful they may expect it ;p

    • Leanne

Yes ma’am, you can do up to 4 deals in the same transaction (up to 8 bottles of shave gel). This is not due to walgreens’ coupon policy, but due to the $3/2 coupon saying maximum of 4 coupons in the same transaction.

  3. Ashley

Thanks! This is perfect because I am about to head over to Walgreens to take advantage of their BOGO free diapers! Yay can’t wait to use this towards that already amazing deal!

  4. Craig

Uuugh, I’ve never printed this off and its says I did. Oh well.

  5. Kimberly

Could I use the BOGO coupon and get these free? haven’t coupon at Walgreen’s sense the point system change.

    • Gilly

Most retailers will not let you use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale.

  6. Emily

Can you buy 4 at once and get twice as many points or is there a limit?

    • Leanne

There is a limit of 4 of the same coupons per transaction (as stated on the coupon). That is the only limit on this deal.

  7. Adrienne

wags in Orem Utah has them for $3.79. great deal!

  8. Lisa

I bought 4 and got 6000 point, no problems. As for using the BOGO coupons, it shouldn’t matter. You should still get the points even if your coupons make the item free; for instance, buy the Bayer Contour meter for $10. Use the $10 coupon and get 2000 points.

    • Kimberly

      Thanks 🙂

    • laura

Where did you get the Bayer Contour meter coupon?

      • lisa

In the Walgreens Diabetes Answers book. It was by the pharmacy.

  9. Alissa

I just picked 4 of these up at my Walgreens using the 2 $3/2 coupons and earned 6000 points with no problems! Thanks for the heads up on this great deal!

  10. Christa

    Bogo Coupon Scenario:
    2 Shave gels bogo ($3.59)
2 Shave Balm, Face Wash, or Moisturizer bogo ($3.59+?)
Use 2 buy one get one free coupons (-$2.99 x 2)
    Pay oop ~$1.20 + tax
    Get back 6000 points.

    Sound about right?

    • CO Mama

Will Wags take a BYGO coupon combined with a BYGO sale??

  11. Maggie

Publix has the Nivea 40% off until 6/21, I just purchased 4 for free, and re’cd .29 cent overage! They are 1.31 a can.

  12. Maggie

That was for the shaving foam.

  13. krysta

These were actually on sale for $3.03 and b1g1 at my store today! I got 4 of them for 6cents and got 6000 points added to my card! Trying to bug friends to print more coupons for me lol

    • Amanda

Mine were $3.01 and BOGO. I bought 6, paid 3cents and got 9000 pts!

    • BettePorterFan

Go to the library and print from different computers. That’s what I did when I reached my limit at my 3 computers at home. Good luck!

    • Chee

I thought they were $3.03 too! But when I had pointed that out to the cashier, she just ignored me!

  14. Therapist Phone

WOW just what I was looking for. Came here by searching for horse therapy autism

  15. Maria Apodaca

I bought these today and didnt get any points added to my card I also didn’t see it in the flyer can i go back and ask for these points and where does it say inthe flyer? so that I can claim my points.

    • Mindy B.

If you redeemed points for the purchase, you cannot earn points. If you didn’t redeem points for the purchase, you should’ve received points. The 3,000 Balance Reward points is located on the shelf tag, not in the sales paper. You should go back to the store and ask to speak to a manager about it and if they cannot help you, you can always e-mail Walgreens customer service via their website. Hope this helps! =)

  16. BettePorterFan

Oh Yeah, I don’t shave, don’t have much body hair, so I plan to donate them all to a food pantry or a homeless shelter.

  17. Luna

Where on their FB page do you find the coupon?

  18. Angie

I stopped by today at lunch to use the Nivea coupon. They told me those type of coupons wouldn’t scan and there was no way to take it. I told them the coupons worked at every other store I used. So, she tried again and then ran the coupon from left to right by the scanner and it worked. So if this happens to anyone at Walgreens, have them try the left to right scanning.

  19. Jennifer

Mine were $2.39 and bogo and I was able to use both $3/2 coupons and I got 6000 points!!!!

  20. Vanessa

    are the 3,000 advertised?

    • Mindy B.

The 3,000 Balance Reward points are displayed on the shelf tag at the store, not advertised in the paper.

  21. Steph g

Check the tag AT your store the fine print says bogo $2.87 or $3.03 these ring up at$3.79 so my clerk changed the price to match the shelf. One store had them for $2.87 the other store they where $3.03. With the $3/2 coupon and points , these are a great money maker
