I have this pool and it is big enough for two adults and 1-2 kids. It is also very durable. We have had ours for 3 summers (also live in Sunny San Diego and have used it quite a bit).

Thanks, Adrianne. I saw a review on Amazon where someone was saying it was hard to drain. Would you agree?

      • Adrianne

not at all. It is and was easy to drain

          Thanks! Got one!

On a semi- related note, can anyone tell me what the difference is between regular diapers and the ones for swimming?

    • Alla

The regular ones swell up when the kid enters the pool or water and the swimmers don’t. From my own experience. I thought the regular ones work as good as the swimmers and took my 2 years old to the pool, when I took him out of the pool the diaper was like 3 lb, very heavy and huuuuggggeeee. LOL… Had to buy him swimmers then.

Regular diapers are made to absorb liquid, so if you try to use them swimming, eventually they over-absorb, explode, and make an enormous mess. Swim diapers are basically just to keep an “accident” from floating away/getting into the water. Plastic pants would work just as well. However, most public locations require either a swim diaper or plastic pants. Hope this helps!

        Haha! Well put Jill! 🙂

my personal opinion of the “swimmers” is that they are a waste of money and swell up about as much as regular diapers.

The best & most economical way to take care of the swim diaper issue is to use a cloth diaper cover. They come in “one-size” options that grow with your baby. These are better than plastic pants, because you don’t have to pull them down in the event that you need to change one. I haven’t tried this particular one, but have had great experiences with the company, and they are cheap:

I have seen some Charlie Banana brand pocket diapers at Target, too. Those would also work if you just take out the absorbent insert.

I also use the covers over a disposable diaper on long trips when I REALLY don’t want a poo-splosion. They have saved me from washing the carseat many times!

Thanks to all for answering my question!

Great price. The cheapest at Toys R Us and Target is $20.

I returned 2 of these to Walmart due to holes in them. The lady said she got a lot of Intex pools back this year already and she wish they’d recall them.

Thanks! Got one for my 2 kiddos, and I wasn’t even looking for one. 🙂

I saw on Pinterest where you can use these in the back yard full of blankets and pillows to star watch.

This pool is on sale at walmart.com today for $12.
