I have the angelcare monitor! I used it with both my boys who are now 4 and 3 years old. I got this newer version to use with baby boy #3 who is due in less than a month! I think the angelcare monitor is definitely a must have baby item! It has provided me with so much peace of mind. 🙂

Same here! I used it with my 2.5 year old and now I’m using it with my newborn. Great monitor!!

I had wanted one, but put off buying one since we had so many other purchases to make since he was our first child. I finally broke down and ordered the Angelcare monitor when he was a couple of months old and was so glad that I did! I can honestly tell you that it was the first night I slept well since I had my son. It is worth every single penny if you ask me!

I use the snuza with my 9 week old. I love it! It gives me such wonderful peace of mind. I spent about $75 on it on Amazon. You can always sell it on ebay when you’re done with it.

We had the simpler Angelcare monitor, like the one you linked to, for my son when he was born in 2007. He was 5 weeks early and we were scared to death when we brought him home. I don’t think I ever would have gotten to sleep without it. I honestly think you can get by without all the bells and whistles on the higher models. We used it until he was about 2 1/2 and then we switched to a video monitor because he was constantly getting out of bed and we needed to see what he was into. Then he was about 4, his preschool teacher asked if I had a baby monitor at home that I wouldn’t be using as her mom just had a stroke and she needed to hear her (it was a very bad stroke and she regressed mentally, where she needed to be monitored all the time). His teacher said it was great and really helped ease her mind. She even used the motion pad with it so it would beep if her mom wandered out of bed. I told her to keep it; it obviously was doing both of them a great deal of good. I highly recommend it.

I bought one back in 2003 when my daughter was born. Being my first child, I was paranoid and this gave me peace of mind. I used it for my 2 sons as well. I got my money’s worth, that’s for sure! Would highly recommend this to anyone with a newborn or young baby.

my son was born three months premature. I had both of these monitors,( and a pulse ox!) for him. I preferred the snuza as I would forget about the mat and take him out of his cradle and the alarm would sound scaring the heck out of me. It definitely provides peace of mind! pretty durable too as my two year old ended up chewing the end soft part, and it still worked no problems!

We have the Snuza halo – it is the best purchase we made!

I had the Angelcare monitor & wanted to like it but the sound monitors were useless in our house. No matter where I positioned them they buzzed constantly so something in our house was causing interference. I took it back and bought a digital monitor which works fine. I just ordered the Snuza Halo and I LOVE it. I can relax when I put my little boy down to sleep now. I really like the Snuza because I can clip it to him where ever he’s down for a nap….pack n play, bassinet….he’s not a fan of the crib yet!

ok, so wait, the monitor goes off every time they move?! I would think no mom would ever get a full night’s sleep again!! Can somebody explain what the theory behind this monitor is??

    • Ana

The monitor goes off when they don’t move. If the monitor doesn’t detect any movement after 20 seconds the alarm goes off.

I bought the Snuza was my baby was 3 months old (she is 6 months old now) and we use it every night! I LOVE it. I wish I had heard about it when she was first born. It gives me and my husband such peace of mind. We haven’t had any false alarms.

I long contemplated on purchasing a decent motion sensor baby monitor when my son started sleeping on his stomach. I’ve checked into both of these and have even written about them in comparison. These are some really great prices especially for the Angel Care system
