My dollar general said the $25 has to after the manufacture coupons, so not fair:(

I just read the actual coupon and the instructions to the cashier state for them to “scan or enter promotion code for this coupon BEFORE manufacturer coupons.” I think your DG is mistaken.

    • Farrah

My DG says the same thing. Stinks! 🙁

The $5 off the purchase of $25. or more (pre-tax) in Home Cleaning and /or Paper Products that I printed for today has cashier instructions printed on it that tells the cashier to “scan or enter promotion code for the coupon (meaning the $5. off coupon) BEFORE manufacturer coupons.” How can any cashier give anybody an argument over how it supposed to be done when the instructions are printed right on the coupon??

Do you know if we could do two transactions using two $5 off coupons? This is a nice deal to stock-up on cleaning products.

Our DG has Finish dishwasher soap B2G1 in a special 3 pack for $6. Last weeks paper had a $2.15 coupon. It may help you get you $25 cheap.

I hate shopping at DG with coupons. They always change their stories. One day I can’t use coupons at all with the $5 off coupon and other times I have to scan coupons before the $5 coupon it just isn’t worth it in my opinion. They always make me feel like I am cheap or robbing them by using coupons. they are not coupon friendly in my opinion.

They have to enter the $5 off $25 FIRST. I hand them that coupon first and after they enter it I present my other coupons….unfortunately, I learned from experience because I laid all coupons on counter and told cashier he was supposed to scan that one first but he didn’t listen and did it last. Other employee (asst manager, I think) came over and said you have to enter it first. So he had to re-ring order but the coupon had been voided in first transaction…such a hassle. He TRIED to help me buy not ringing up a package of razers but I informed him they would be free anyways with my b1g1 coupon…so his next bright idea was to not ring in another item I had a $4 coupon for, so of course, I would still be out the value of that coupon. I just cut my losses because they were closing and it was too much of a hassle. He did give me another coupon to appease me but I will never hand over all coupons at first again!
