I brought up a whole bunch of deals that had “target” in the description. It was listed 4th or 5th in my list of deals when I searched target. I went through the link that collin provided in order to download the app – maybe it is only for people that start there?
I sent the text but I already had the groupon app and found it anyways.

Thanks for the deal! It looks like you cannot print out the deal. This becomes another thing that you must show on your phone at the register. Don’t get behind me in line at Target- with the Shopkick, Cartwheel, paper coupons, and sometimes more than one e-coupons from my phone- I feel like a juggler at the register, getting all my “ducks in a row”- but I usually save big, so it is worth it.
I do that as well. I just joke about it so people don’t get frustrated with me. The lady after me watched me bring my total down $40 and she was impressed and asked if I had coupons for her too. Hehe
Yeah such a crazy gimmick now… unless it’s groceries or something I can’t find online… it’s just too crazy for me with 3 kids under 6. I love Amazon 😀

Lol, I hear ya. I usually take screen shot of the pages showing the barcodes, then I just flip through the pictures at the register to have them scan the barcodes. Helps speed things up for me.
Good idea! I had some lady I did not know high five me today at the register lol. I was using the 5 off venus coupons and the target coupon for a free shave gel and got 4 shave gels and 4 razors for 5.xx she was like WOW way to go and said she couponed too.. The cashier was new and had to call over the trainer for my transaction because the free coupon was not scanning I think it is because they have to put in the total and used at a different Target yesterday with no problem. Today the trainer wanted to argue with me because she said the coupon states “one coupon per purchase” and I had to kindly explain that a purchase is an ITEM and it does not say transaction it just says 4 like coupons per day per household so obviously I could use them all together and then wanted to say well it must be for the olay venus razor that is 8.99 and not the 5.99 one. I asked her where it said that? Yes, it has that as the picture but the coupon says ANY ONE VENUS RAZOR. The trainee said well it’s a disposable. I said no…it doesn’t say disposable anywhere on it. I think I will go to the other Target that is farther away from now on because they had no issue with the same coupons yesterday! I felt bad for the 2 ladies behind me, but they just cheered me on and agreed with me and said so to the cashier and her manager 🙂
You’re not kidding! I was there yesterday and had pulled up the cart wheel (after standing in an empty corner of the store for 10 minutes to double check if any items in my cart were on cart wheel) and had her scan that. Then I handed over my coupons two at a time. If I give them any more than that at a time, it seems like they miss a bunch of them. Then, I said to the woman behind me who said “aww man, I had one of those things too and I forgot to look it up,” – I said to her “I’ll be fast… just one more thing to check for coupons.” She didn’t seem to mind – why? Probably because, unlike walmart, there’s never a long line at Target! Going back to Target tonight for more sunscreen. This groupon will pay for that! Boom!
I actually count the number of coupons I have before I go in line and count after I checkout to make sure they scanned all the coupons. If they didn’t I can go to customer service and let them know. I had a cashier take my $5 gift card but pressed all these buttons (she was new) and it didn’t take it off. The front desk was kind enough to just give me $5 cash.
for those that have an iphone Target coupons can be put in your “passbook” which can speed things up. Sometimes they have multiple mobile coupons going and it’s easy to switch in passbook quickly…Doesn’t solve the multiple app issue but it’s a start.

So, do I just go under “redeem” in the Groupon app and have the cashier scan the barcode?
I opened mine up on my computer and it told me to go to a site to redeem it, then it gave me the number and access code that I could store in my target.com account. Now, I have an egift card that I can scan at the register.
Mine has been processing for about two hours..
Lisa call groupon if it hasnt shown up yet. I had a freak thing with my account, things were showing up on my updated phone app that were not showing up on the computer version. I had to use a Groupon rep to help me purchages the deal. She said weird things happen when its a high demand deal.

I have had bad experiences with mobile gift cards at target. two different targets ended up charging me for the cost of my mobile gift card instead of using it as a method of payment. it was a big mess and customer service wasn’t able to fix it without voiding out the entire transaction.
That happened to me once with shopkick giftcards but my cashier just deleted them and then took them off as they were supposed to. Maybe that cashier was just new.
I think you have to redeem it first before you can use it or it’s like scanning an empty giftcard.
Got it! Took a LONG time. Just a warning. I had to download the app and then sign in. The sign in process took awhile. Not sure if it was being overloaded with people trying to purchase…but it said it’s mine for the using. YAY! Thank you!

Do you have to pay for the gift card through your phone? I hope not because I’m uncomfortable with that.
If you have used Groupon before it will have your information saved and I believe that is the only way to pay. Something else to consider is anti virus software for your phone. I too am uncomfortable but Amazon, Groupon, Restaurant.com are all saved apps on my phone so try and protect it the best you can.
