I don’t have any babies but I would be concerned about storing baby food around all that plastic and it possibly leaching into the food!

Most plastic used for babies is bpa free. I would prefer this with fresh food than baby food in glass jars. Those food item have a shelf life of like 3 years. I wouldn’t want to serve my baby that over fresh. Just a personal opinion. There are good and bad to both.

I wonder if you could use this to make those applesauce Go-Go type fruit things? I don’t have babies, but have 2 little boys that like those applesauce pouches and also the smoothies.

I dont think this actually makes it but for the looks of it and reviews you should be able to. Im gonna try it. I guess you can puree the food using a blender or magic bullet and drop into the top here so it can go in the baggy. Seems expensive to me compared to the store bought or even on Amazon. I’d think it be great if you’re going for fresh or organic.

Did not expect that picture to post. Sorry everyone!

I think the picture posting in the reply is cool!!!

This is awesome! My son is 10 – not a baby anymore, but these are great for storing organic fruits & veggies. They can be used in soups & smoothies. If you can’t mash them try using a blender. All parts are safe, refer to target web site. Target will also price match. Thank you for posting Collin, I’m in!

I have been looking into getting the reusable pouches. All you need is a funnel to fill and you can throw them in the dishwasher and reuse!

i dunno, my dishwasher isn’t good about cleaning tall glasses. i would be dubious about the ease of use in a dishwasher claim. that said, i don’t wash any plastic in the dishwasher anyway….best done by hand.

i see these being thrown away and the units cheap at yard sales in a year or so. *shrug* just my (probably bad) opinion.

This is one more gadget to make our kids rely on processed food. Everyone likes those processed little pouches because they are convenient….how is cooking food, making a puree, smashing it into little plastic bags, then squirting it into a kid, then trying to get the bags clean and dry…convenient? How about steaming some veggies and cutting some fruit and putting it on baby’s plate? Anyone that has more than one tooth does not need to be eating pureed food.

As a mom of a child with severe allergies and NO teeth at 8-months, I don’t consider this system as making my child rely on processed food. I steam fruit and veggies and put them on his plate – when we are at home. When we are out and I can’t be certain what’s in the food, I use food I have steamed and puréed and put in bags or containers. I don’t squirt it in his mouth – I put it on a spoon and feed it to him. And I would choose my method over store bought baby food any day.
