Just a reminder to check out Zapiddy if you have an iPhone and/or iPad…

Zapiddy is a free iPhone app that pays users to answer questions. After downloading and registering the app, Zapiddy users (called Zappers) may accept Jobs — brief, easy surveys. Sometimes a photo is part of the Job. Usually these Jobs include surveys about retail store activity or conditions. As an example, Zapiddy paid Zappers $8.50 last weekend to answer a series of questions about in-store sampling activity at SuperTarget stores—creating a double-bonus, Zappers could snack and earn money while they shop. 😀

Some Zapiddy jobs can even be done at home, like a recent assignment to photograph the sunscreen on-hand at home (to help marketers actually “see” their market share and top competitors).

(The above pictures were taken by Zappers when asked to photograph what items were at the top of their Back to School shopping list this year.)

And consider the fact that during Back-to-School season, Zapiddy earnings can help defray the cost of all those necessary school supplies as a typical Zapiddy job pays $4 for 5 or 6 photos or questions. According to Zapiddy, dozens of Zappers have earned more than $50 in the past few weeks; and many of them have earned more than $100 in Zapiddy pay – that $100 will help you snag lots of school supplies especially if you follow the weekly Office Store Match-ups on Hip2Save.

Note: Zapiddy is activating accounts on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the number of jobs available in a given area. The sooner you create an account, the sooner you’ll have access to the jobs near you.

How does that work? Do they pay you cash? or is it an on line credit?

  2. Marge

They pay it into a paypal acct.

Thank you for the reminder, I checked the app and had a survey waiting =]

Thanks I just checked the app and had a Starbucks addict survey for $1 and I didn’t have to go anywhere- they just wanted my opinion!

Just tried to download the app on my iPad and it said not available on this iPad, it needs GPS. Can anyone help?

      Same with mine 🙁

The app is mainly for the iPhone but can be used on iPads that have Wi-fi plus Cellular capabilities. The app needs to be able to locate you at the store while doing the specified job. So if your iPad doesn’t have “Cellular” capabilities you won’t be able to use the app. HTH.

I love the app. So easy to use. I started in mid May and have earned $26 and I have another $13 pending.

Does PayPal charge us a fee from the app’s deposit? And does the money sit in our PayPal account, or does it then get dumped into the bank account we have linked to PayPal?

This app takes forever to clear payment and you can’t hold jobs, meaning you can show up at a store and the job disappears. This app also doesn’t show jobs unavailable when someone else is doing it, meaning you can drive to a store complete the job and it be flagged as a duplicate and you don’t get paid.

I second this! Had it happen yesterday – was going to stop on my way back from running errands, and the job was gone by the time I got there. Very frustrating.

They also accused me of not reading thoroughly on another job, which I did not, plus they provide NO space to explain any special circumstances or issues with the job. I thought for sure another job would be rejected because there was NOT the display they had me look for in a store. They ended up paying me anyway, thankfully.

I would just proceed with caution; my 6-month experience with them so far is that they are VERY hit and miss.

This app is definitely developing, but SO worth it if you are already out and about and a job pops up. I just hope they change the “My Jobs” folder and allow time to complete it (say 24 hours). As someone else mentioned saving it to “My Jobs” doesn’t really mean anything, because it can disappear before you enter the store.

Jobs finally showed up this evening, despite my having set a radius of 200 miles! Saved 2 jobs, hopped in the car. Arrived at the store 20 minutes later and all jobs were gone…even the ones I had saved. I live in Vermont…what is up with this app?!
