Is that true for Old Navy as well? I mean that the $50 is before the % off. I had some items on there I wanted, and might combine with some Gap stuff. Old Navy just have a 25% off right now. Off to check it out!

      • allison a

This is an awesome sale! If you have a Gap cards and have rewards to use they are doubling rewards today too! So a $10 is worth $20! I found tons on the girls side already marked down to $1.97 before the 40% off!

    • Jen

    • Melissa Z

My reward didn’t double. What do I need to do?

      • Melissa Z

    • Anikka

      • Anikka

oh i found my email….looks like it has to be in store. I guess it looks like a trip to the store (after I place my online order). Hopefully my store has good stuff. It’s a smaller store and I’m sometimes disappointed

        • allison a

Is this only at the Gap or will they double at Athleta too? There semi sale started today. I can’t find the email…

          • Elizabeth

No, not at athleta. Athleta is stingy with the sales!

      • Rebecca

I have an ON card, will my rewards double? I cant find an email on it. Can someone copy paste the email?

        • Kara

Rebecca, I was just at Gap and I used my old navy card and my rewards. My $10 doubled to $20.

    • J

Thanks for the dates! I will be there tomorrow! The gap near me always has their own sales. I was able to pick up a pair of jeans for my daughter for $8 each…original price was $50 each!

    • Shannon

I went yesterday and my reward didn’t double and I told the lady about the email and she said she never heard of it. Wonder if it is because I was at a Gap Outlet?

  7. rn30032

many things are sold out for boys size 5-7 and women’s larger sizes ;(

  8. Brittany

I scored 7 nice shirts for my 4 y/o online for $34. Here comes preschool! Thanks, Collin!

      • Terah

Thanks! Called my local store and it will still be 40% off though Monday! So excited I didn’t miss this one 😆

  11. Delanda J

Does anyone know if you can get a price adjustment for a purchase made online? I ordered 5 uniform pants for my son for a total of $50 and the next day I received an e-mail for $15 off $50 or more.

  12. Delanda J

Forgot to mention, the purchase was from oldnavy.com

    • Julie

You have to return and re-buy there, so u gotta drag the items back! Just had a bad experience with them over this. Call your local store and see what the Store Manager says. HTH, good luck:)

      • J

You can call customer service to get a price adjustment. I do it all of the time, they’re customer service is awesome!

        • Delanda Jo

Thank you Julie and J. Really helpful

  13. Jodi

Just bought $50 of Gap gift cards at Michael’s today for $40. Whoo hoo! Guess I won’t be waiting to spend them.

    • Mary

How do you get the gidt card for 40you bucks at michaels?

      • lauren

Thery have a sale going on in store. Just go to Michael’s to purchase the GAP gift cards.

  14. Jodi

Cashback at Gap: 4% at SOH, 2% at Ebates, and 5% on Discovercard.

    • VB

You can also get 6 swagbucks which works out better I think.

  15. Heather

Our gap store started the sale yesterday. I was able to find tons of toddler and baby clothing, some for as low as $1.97 before the 40% off. When I checked online today the website had some of the same items that were $1.97-$3.97 in store for $9.97 or more online! We shop at Gap a lot and our experience is that in store sale pricing is usually significantly lower than online. So if you have a local store, you will probably find better prices in store compared to online.

    • J

I agree Heather! I find that the stores have their own sales. I found a pair of jeans for my daughter for $8 in store. I checked online and they were on “sale” for $33.

  16. simpleme

American Eagle is also having a sale, an additional 50% off all clearance items (discount taken once the item has been added to your cart) & they have free shipping. No promo code needed for either.

  17. Kim

The Gap Outlet had 50% off the entire store plus I had 10% off b/c I opened a Gap card recently plus I had another 10% coupon in my email plus a $30 reward. I ended up going twice b/c the deals were so good! $110 for 3 tank tops, 2 shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of yoga pants, 2 gap body tanks and one mens polo. It was like christmas!

    • Kim

Oh, and an awesome gap body sweatshirt! I love the Gap!

  18. Dawn

Nice. Wish I had money to save money! We were broke the day after payday.

    • Dawn

New clothing seems so unnecessary when you are barely getting through the month with food 🙁

      • Dawn

oops, did I say “barely”? I meant we “aren’t even”. Gah!!!!

        • simpleme

Maybe you should cut your internet or remove it from your plan, that’ll save you some money! 😉

          • Christine

Wow! Seems like such an insensitive comment. I don’t think internet is the problem. We pay less than $20/month for it. With a downturn in the economy it is really hard on families. I agree with Dawn— new clothing is not a necessity when you need to put food on the table. Plus without internet how would one be able to print the awesome food coupons Collin posts:)

            • simpleme

well thats an extra $20 you can spend on food a month. I dont think the purpose of hip 2 save is so people can tell us what they can and cant afford!

    • Christine

So it was an insensitive comment. You didn’t have to read it or respond in such a negative way. Maybe she was venting. Have a little compassion:(

  19. Laura

Collin, This is such a great find! I love their jeans. The skinny jeans were made for me. I was able to score my regular 69.95 jeans. I got my jeans, two nice tops, a belt for hubby and some socks for him. Total = 53.00 so that means free shipping! Thanks to the reader as well. Had a hard time finding stuff for my little boys though… I will really be feeling that savings this Autumn when I wanted to buy jeans. However, by then they would be full price! Savings is awesome!

  20. nickyB

My 24 year old son (who teases me about my couponing ) texted me about his deal at the Gap today. He bought a jacket that was originally $98 and marked down to $40 then got 40% of that price. He paid for it with rewards he had earned from his Old Navy card and said he got it for free. I told him I was proud!!!

    • bfam

That’s so cute! I would love it if my son did that when he grows up!

  21. Katie

I got a pair of jeans that were $70, after 40% for $18, and use a $5 rewards from Old Navy(which doubled) I had, so I only paid $8.46 for those jeans! I was pretty excited 🙂

  22. Britt

Definitely worth it! I spent $150 and got 2 coats for my toddler, 2 jeans, 6 gym shorts, 2 tshirts, 3 pairs of shoes, 6 pairs of socks and 4 swim trunks. Easily $300 worth of merchandise I’m sure. And that was when it was only an extra 30% off last week so even sweeter now. If I had more $ I’d buy way more!

  23. zoe

I have a question I need to say that I have a promotion code or coupon take wing some store. I’m new to this coupon, or the discount will automatically

  24. Vanessa

Silly question. Is this good on sale items only or does the 40% work on clearance too? I also have a 25% off coupon. Can I combine it with this deal? Thanks

  25. Emily

Darn! I’m so bummed..I went and filled my cart hoping to grab hold of this deal, only to find this was posted on Saturday and not Sunday! I have a cart full of sale items that I really wanted. Now I feel like I wasted a good hour “shopping” when I can’t really bring myself to pay the full price..even though it is indeed a sale. Oh well:( Thanks anyway!

    • bfam

Use EVERYONE to get 30% off today. Not 40%, but 30% isn’t bad!

      • Emily

Thank you so much! this made my day!:) I can’t believe I didn’t see this on the website! I just looked at retailmenot and couldn’t find any codes. You helped me save $20!:)

      • Rei

Shopped the 40% sale for gap the other day and placed another old navy order today with the 30% off. ON has a lot of inexpensive items right now and worked on skinny jeans too :). Picked up 4 pairs of jeans, a tee, dress and socks for $40 shipped. Knocking out back to school shopping early 🙂

  26. Eve

The extra 40% off sale is still going in stores only until tomorrow 7/22. At gap.com, the discount now is 30% off with code “EVERYONE” until Tuesday, 7/23.
