Update: If you’d rather purchase at Amazon, they are also offering a Free $15 Credit, when you purchase the Disney Infinity Starter Kit, which is currently priced at $74.99.

If you are planning on purchasing the new Disney Infinity Video Game, then you may want to check out this deal over at Walmart.com. Currently, you can score a FREE $15 Walmart eGift card whenever you purchase the Disney Infinity Starter Kit (for Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, or Nintendo 3DS), which is selling for $74.96. When you factor in the bonus $15 eGift Card, that equals out to only $59.96 + FREE Shipping! As a price comparison, this same game alone is selling for $74.96 at Target.com! Sounds good to me!

Take on the role of Sulley, the naturally gifted ‘scarer’; become Captain Jack Sparrow, the sword-wielding pirate; or transform yourself into Mr. Incredible, one of the world’s greatest crime fighters. The story never ends. The Starter Pack is just the beginning, with many more Disney and Disney/Pixar characters and worlds coming soon, giving you infinite ways to inspire your imagination!

Fred Meyers ad says you get a 25$ gift card with an Infinity game purchase but it retails 74.99

My son wants this and I told him to hold out til XMAS and put it on his list…I’ve seen a few deals but nothing GREAT…I’m wondering if I should buy it now or wait til closer to XMAS

    • Ketsy

I would go for it just because of the craziness of Skylanders. Running around to get some was just insane. Toys R US has Buy 1 Get 1 50% off anything Disney Infinity so you could get the starter and maybe a set for cheaper or at least buy sets and get this one. There might be a bit of a better deal on Black Friday if you’re the type to stand in line for hours. Remember though time is money!

    • Kelly

I’m considering holding out. By Black Friday I think they will be pushing the starter packs to keep sales up. Got a great deal on Skylanders Giants on BF last year.

      • tina

I know that’s the thing I got a great deal at walmart for skylanders…that’s why I’m so unsure about it..I’ll kick myself later if I can get it for cheaper

    • tilla ham

I got a fantastic deal at gamestop ….. they have a list of older games you can trade ina dn get 50 off a new release. so we traded in 2 games the kids dont’ play anymore and got this for 24 and change

    • Lisa

The Toys R Us buy 1 get one 50% off deal is pretty great, atleast for now, who knows what will come up for Black Friday. Anyway, the neighbor and I went and bought 2 starter packs and they were part of the second item for 50% off, and we split the total! If you’re interested in signing up for a Toys R Us credit card, you get $10 off instantly when you spend over $100 on the Infinity products, plus 15% off that day’s purchases, so for us the 1 starter pack plus the 2nd starter pack, 15% off, $10 off came out around $45!

      • Lisa

$45 for each of us, not $45 for the grand total; but $45 instead of $75 was awesome!

Thanks Collin for the offer. I think Amazon caught on to this deal and doesn’t want to be outdone. They’ve added a bonus $15 credit with purchase! Gotta love Amazon!

  4. Erin

My 9 yo son saved up to buy this the day it came out and I have to give it 2 thumbs up. I like it better than Skylanders. It is just a wonderful way to play in the Disney Universe.

    • Erin

We are with you – I like the tame “fighting” (I mean Sulley scaring people was hoot.) Instead of the Skylander battles for my 8 and 6 year old boys. They haven’t been able to put it down – good thing school doesn’t start for 12 more days.

they are also offering buy on get one half off.. great price and deal, debating getting it now myself for xmas..

Okay, now I seriously have to see what all the fuss is about over this toy!!! LOL! What does it do??? I’m going read up on it now. Seems like a lot of cash to drop on action figures, but if it’s similar to skylanders it might be good for younger kids??? I’m seeing this toy everywhere!

    • Jenny

Wow, just watched a youtube video walkthrough of it. Looks great!

  7. Michelle

TRU has a 20% off one Disney Infinity item coupon you can use for the starter kit. The q was in their school rules booklet. Coupon item #962191 (code for online use maybe?)

  8. Elisabeth

I just ordered this from amazon. When checking out it took $5 off from a promotion and the only thing I can think it was from was the 5/25 back to school you posted a few days ago?

I’m not sure if I want to hop on this wagon again… After everything is said and done, we have dished out $450- $500 dollars on the Skylander game! You buy the starter kit at about $75 (Spyro’s adventure). Then, all the figures cost around $10-15 and you HAVE TO HAVE certain figures AND a certain amount of figures in order to beat the game (we have about 30). The following year, Skylander Giants come out…. well the “Giants” figures didn’t work on the first addition game so we HAD TO UPGRADE to the giants game ($50 to upgrade) … then of course you (your child) want to buy all of the “Giants” characters ($10-15)…. Uuuhhhggg… who ever came up with this concept of buying each individual character is making a killing off of the parents! I miss when you could pay $30-$50 for a game and it had all the characters you could choose from built right into the game. The characters are so cute for the Infinity! I wish this would have came out before Skylanders drained my bank account! Think I’m going to shield my little ones eyes from this one…

Oh, and BTW… if you do get in on the Infinity action… keep up with buying the latest figures as a lot of them become hard to find after a while and then you’re stuck on ebay paying $30 for something that normally costs $10!

    Sincerely,
    Empty Wallet

    • Ketsy

Ha! I agree with you and the empty wallet. We have one set and then gifted half a set to my nephew and half a set to hub’s son. I even grabbed the sales or used amazon credits etc and still crazy. I bought the Giants game and a few of them and haven’t even played the game and now this. This seems more kid-oriented except it has more pieces to buy and Disney will probably expand the concept as well. Now when it comes to the money part, I tend to excuse it for a reason. Ive bought so many ridiculous toys and things that do nothing. If you just buy your child one toy every so often like once a months or two weeks if they behave in school, then it works out. These sure are better than Barbie dolls or blocks. Ugh! We will see what we decide!

      • Jenny

I agree 100% Seems like a money trap. Some of the pieces seemed priced much higher than just $10 each to!

  10. Michelle

I am holding out for a better sale near Christmas!

  11. Hilary

Keep in mind…this is brand new and there have already reported problems with some disks not reading, freezing, etc. (Google) Most places only offer a 90 day return policy, so if you’re holding this for Christmas, you’re going to take your chances. We’re waiting for the simple fact that if something is wrong with it, we can return or exchange it.

    • Jessica

Good call Hilary, I had not thought about that. I’m going to wait til closer to Christmas.

  12. Marcee

Fred Meyer has the starter pack for $74.99 and you get a $25 gift card. Trying to decide to buy now or wait until black Friday…

  13. bargain hunter
