We have a dumbphone and we got it. As long as you can receive text messages it should work. It took awhile between my husband and me but we clicked around and found it on our phone.
I bought 2 watches. 1 was on clearance for $5.08, the other for $39.99. Got both OOP for $5.56! The cashier scanned my phone and looked totally shocked at my total. She didn’t question it but I could tell no one else had been through her line with this coupon. lol!
Oh LOL I chickened out on this deal tonight! I’m coming down w/ something so had zero energy for drama plus my phone was about to die – afraid I’d get to the register and not have a coupon to show them! Maybe tomorrow…
Slim pickin’s in Orlando FL. All the employees were super aware of this deal! I came so early in the a.m. that I caught part of the employee morning pow-wow where the manager was reiterating this deal to his staff. Then he approached me at the watch counter and asked if I needed anything. So no trouble using the coupon… Only trouble finding something left. I went to the one on Orange Blossom Trail and it was pretty picked over… I might try the Target by the FL mall and see if I can exchange my watch. When I arrived at 8 a.m. This morning, there were two other ladies in the jewlery section holding their earrings and watch… Then when I got to the register, there was someone doing the deal as well. I just left the one off of Conroy. There wasn’t a huge selection but I got a pair of earrings for $5 and a $40 watch. It was worth the trip.
The conroy in Millenia area had a pretty good selection still and even without the coupon the manager honored the promotion!

Karen – I don’t have a smartphone either. Someone else here posted to just take that URL they sent you, pull it up on your computer, and just print that out and bring it to the store. (It’s got the barcode on it for the cashier to scan, just like it would on a smartphone.) I’ve gone ahead and printed mine out, but haven’t tried it yet.
I did this deal with a printout version from the link they sent and it worked for me. no problems at all.
So I just came back from SODO and they still had a lot (including the watch my 9 old has been begging for but I’ve been too cheap to buy him!!). I grabbed a pair of ugly purple earrings that the store would probably never be able to sell that were clearanced for $2.38. Took the items up to customer service and asked if they were still honoring the coupon. She said she didn’t think it would work on clearance items, but scanned the items to check and sure enough, it took the price of the watch off! So basically,I got a $34.99 watch for $2.38!!! I’m a Happy Camper!

I signed up for the mobile coupons this morning and still haven’t received them. I’m so annoyed. I even called the number and they said that it could take up to 3 weeks to begin receiving coupons via text. I wonder if I am doing something wrong?

Try in crossroads mall target. I went yesterday evening and they honored. May be try tomorrow evening cause it might be the same manager working for evening shift. Good luck .

Been waiting 90 min for my coupons and stores about to close :(. Everyone had success so I didn’t waste anytime coming over here after signing up. Wondering if they stopped it because it became so popular. The message said “you will start receiving coupons in the next few wks.” Is that what others said?

I went to Target tonight in Green Bay, WI to try the deal again with my husband’s phone and coupon. I wanted a woman’s watch on clearance for $5.08 and a man’s Timex Ironman watch for $39.99. The coupon scanned, but only took off the $5.08 (smaller item.) I think Target or Target – Corporate Office changed the coupon and how it scans.

Tried this at Target (MI) tonight, and it didn’t work. I was told that it was a glitch in the system and they have fixed it.
I went to the Target in Burleson, TX today and tried it with a clearance item first, however I was told that it didn’t count for clearance items. So I went back to the jewelry section and got a bracelet for $8 that I really liked and a Timex watch for $32.99 and voila! it worked! 🙂 Thanks for the awesome tips always!

I don’t have a smartphone but i’m signed up for the mobile coupons. When they send it to me, it comes up as a web address. I go to it and there is a barcode at the top. I print that out and take that in.

I went to Target in DC and snagged a GREAT deal…….earrings for $4.99 and a really nice necklace for $29.99. Once the mobile coupon was scanned, I ended up paying $5.20 for my earrings after my Red card discount!!!!! Thanks for sharing. I tried to share with my friends, but they haven’t gotten the coupon yet…;-(
The Target in Marlton, NJ wouldn’t let me use it so I called their main office from the store. They spoke to the supervisor to tell them to honor the offer. I bought a pair of $2.38 earrings and got a free $39.99 Timex watch.
Went to Titusville, fl target and it worked. There were about 8 women there waiting to figure out if it worked. The target associate helped us and said YES it will take the higher priced item off. Went to cashier to check out rang up earrings for $5.00 and got a $34.99 watch for free Thank you Colin!!! And to the haters who decided to throw Colin under the bus…here’s a tip for you!!! When you text the message do you get charged just once for coupons or every month? How does this work because I dont want to get stuck with a fee to pay for getting coupons that defeats the savings !!! Please help!!
If you send a text that says STOP they will not send you coupons anymore. Hope that helps!

So I tried a different Target in San Jose, Ca tonight and it worked. I was thinking a couple of things. For those who aren’t getting the text offer today, I bet they’re waiting to send out a new promotion. They probably don’t want anymore people to have it in their hands. Secondly, I bet the stores received a memo from corporate to honor the coupon. Just a thought. lastly, for those of you who did not get it I am sorry. I went to target at 6pm yesterday and couldn’t get the coupon no matter how many times I tried. I eventually went up to the customer service desk and showed them 2 screenshots of targets reply to people on their fb page saying it wasn’t a glitch and that we are to receive the higher priced item for free and that they should honor it. The manager was familiar with the coupon and even though they must have taken it off the “mobile coupons” site.. She still honored it because it’s not supposed to expire until tomorrow. I got a $35 timex watch for me FREE with a pair of $4.99 earrings and a $20 Casio for my hubby with another pair of $4.99 earrings. Definitely go to customer service and immediately ask to speak to a manager. If they refuse or play stupid show them the screenshot from the fb page saying that it’s not a glitch and for them to honor it. If not call corporate from your phone in front of them, they will have no choice but to honor it! Good Luck!!
I went to the Tacoma Target today and the cashier was arguing with two customers when I walked up. She was stating that she would feel dishonest if she did this deal. Jeez. I said Target’s Facebook just told us to come here and do this deal, so nope I don’t feel dishonest. I’m happy to do it. What a rude cashier attacking those poor ladies. Then she called security to come over twice and eyeball us as we were shopping. Haha what a bored busybody. She had a different cashier ring us up. The coupon went smoothly!

However, a friend of mine tried to go in this morning and do the same thing I did and the coupon wouldn’t work for her. ?? Maybe they’ve done something to their system and/or decided to stop honoring it…I’m not sure.

I think its too late for them 🙁 Target mobile cpns are good for 2 wks. since this set is about to expire tonight, they will most likely get the new set of mobile q’s that go live tomorrow.
the Target in North Dallas is saying that this deal is a glitch and they don’t want to get into trouble by honoring the coupon. Anyone else in Dallas getting this to work?
I know of people who have had luck with the Target on Eldorado and the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco.
