  2. Rebe

Is anyone having issues printing coupons from Target? I just tried printing this one and it prints just a tiny part! 🙁

    • Susan

      Worked fine for me.

  3. Dawn

Do these come in velcro? or tie only?

    • brandice

velcro in the smaller toddler sizes

  4. Andrea

I hope I can find the same deal and size for my son! A Christmas gift off my list!

    • Blue

      Only .98 in your son!

      • marlena

Some people dont have money to spend hundreds of dollars for christmas gifts !

        • Sara

Yes, no need to criticize what people spend on gifts. My son just turned 2 and we spent less than $20 out of pocket on his gifts, but thanks to Hip2Save he got new Cars Snowboots (bought on eBay brand new for $10 with Paypal credit I earned on ibotta app,) 2 books from Kohl’s with my $5 coupon earned from signing up for their emails, a bumblebee flashlight that I got from redeeming Huggies points, Tiny Toms (had some Zulily referral credits so spent about $10 on these,) a Melissa & Doug wooden puzzle from redeeming Pampers points, a plastic wagon on clearance at Gordman’s for $2, and several t-shirts (free from Old Navy over the past few months with the Snap Appy app.) He also got his free Sonic birthday kids’ meal and free Culver’s Sundae.

          • megan

Hey girl give me a heads up on your deal findings.my son is also 2 and I’m always looking for cheap gifts to put back for Christmas and special occasions 🙂

          • nisie

            u go girl good shopping

      • Dawn

Yah! Who cares what you spend? On sale? Free? $1 or $2 from the thrift store??? Those are the things that my kids are getting. If the item is something that is worth it to you, it doesn’t matter how much it costs, and I’m hugely against crap toys that may be “expensive” but aren’t worth it at all. And kids don’t care! My 1 and 2-year olds get diapers and wipes for Christmas……and who the heck cares about that as a gift???

        • Dawn

lol, meaning, the babies don’t care what they get—they just like to unwrap something, and it’s obviously something they need so it will get used.

          • LC

Dawn, so agree with you! My nephew likes toilet paper more than his new fisher price toy. 🙂 The little ones are not that hard to please. It’s the parents who are hard to please.

      • Andrea

Thank you to everyone who came to my defense. I wasn’t going to waist my breath explaining my finances…or lack there of to you. If you feel like what I’m spending on my son is too low, let me borrow a few hundred dollars, judging from your self righteous comment, you must have all the money in the world.

        • Michelle

My husband and I have been together 7 years (since I was 16 and he was 19). We have two kids (one was from his previous “relationship”) and have both been full time students. We absolutely had our struggles and we nickel and dimed everything. He is finally working in his career field (God is good!) and i still nickel and dime everything. No reason not to. If I see a sale, I will shop it. Why would I spend more money on the same exact item? My kids get spoiled and so does my bank account

        • Jessica

I once gave my son a rummage sale animal flashlight for Christmas! I knew he’d love it, but just didn’t see the point of spending 10$ instead of 50 cents! He was barely two years old. To be honest he’s 8 now and if I gave him a “used ” item as a gift he would be just as happy even of he knew it was used. He is seeing value in buying video games etc on sites such as Half.com bc he can save up faster and get more for his money! Love his mature thought process!

      • Tarri

It is not how much you pay but the thought that counts. I don’t think her little one really knows or cares anyway.

      • nelly

Those sneakers cost 20 bucks regular price! so it’s ok to pay $20 but not .98. For the SAME sneakers.

        Ignorance is bliss.

        • Laney

We buy for a total of 10 nieces & nephews on my side of the family. We set the limit around $10 per gift which is sometimes hard to do! I love finding great clearance deals like this so that I can get the kiddos better gifts for less! I’ll be headed to Target tomorrow for sure.

        • Amanda

          Where’s the like button?!? 🙂

      • Char

Seriously?! Who cares what she spends! I’d be thrilled to find that deal, and not pay retail!
        Rude arse person!

      • Gina

I give my Girls $5.00 each to spend on each other. Thats 5 items from the dollar store. They love the fact they get to chose for each other. To be honest they end up getting each other the same gift 3 out of 5. You dont judge what people spend. A gift brings smile to a kids face regardless of the value. Besides New shoes, retail value of $20.00 Im down to spend 98 cents on.. Im going tomorrow to see if I can find a few. Would love to get some for my girls

      • JA

Hey, guess what?!? Over the summer, I bought a cute pair of slip-ons for my daughter. They were only 8 CENTS after clearance and a coupon. I wrapped them up and gave them to her for her birthday! I will happily accept any and all judgments from here on out and so the haters can leave my fellow Hip2Savers alone! 🙂 🙂 🙂

        • sheena

I don’t understand why everyone has to cut each other down to make themselves feel better, whether it be the side that is mocking what others pay on gifts or the other side calling them “self-righteous”. Aren’t we all adults. If someone says something we think is ignorant, can’t we just go about life and not let the negativity effect us? I don’t see any reason for everyone to jump on the bandwagon of bashing someone to stand up for someone else. I would say both sides are in the wrong. I agree what people pay on gifts is entirely up to them, and it is neither wrong or right, it just is. With that being said, just ignore bad comments, rather than give them more attention than they are worth. Let’s build each other up, not tear each other apart, regardless of the reason 🙂

        • megan

Its called hip2save not hip2spend.I think everyone on here is out to save a buck.don’t make fun of the bargain looker outers woman!

      • Mel

Well, guess what, I just purchased a Mario 3d land 3ds game for my son and it was FREE! Baammm! It was free because of some survey sites and their rewards and best buy rewards but he’ll freaking love it! Just because its free it does NOT mean it was “free”. I had to invest some time into research and completing survey at night time BUT it is so worth it! I cant wait to see his face. All the less-sleepless nights are so worth it!

      • CW

right now my budget for Christmas is non-existent when I normally have finished shoppIng by July. I’m quite thankful that Collin posts these deals, especially the free items because that’s what people are getting for Christmas. I’m sure there are a ton of us who would gladly accept your donations for our Christmas gift shopping.

  5. chrissy1925

I just bought some pink ones for my daughter on Friday for $5.98 also. Too bad this coupon wasn’t out on Friday. I think they said I only have 2 days to make any adjustments.

    • Kate

You can buy it with the coupon and then return it with the old receipt. You have 90 days for that. I try not to be obvious about it and return it with old receipt another day.

  6. Tiffany

Wow rude! She didn’t say that was the only thing she was buying her son. She just said a gift off of his list. And besides…who cares how much money people spend on gifts. If u take one of the games that are on sale this week to a bday party. Is the mom gonna say, u only spent $6 on my son. No! If u don’t have anything nice to say, don’t comment!

    • rensee

True said HipHip hooray to savings as we check off our Xmas list 🙂

  7. Casey Pisciotta Gunn

Can someone see the dpc number so I could call my store? I can’t read it

    • Julie

if you click on the photo credit link it will take you to the site where Collin got the pic/deal and you can click on the photo there. If it’s not covered by the clearance sticker you’ll be able to see it.

    • Chris

The DPCI is located right under the “clearance” header on the tag. To find other sizes in that same color, you change the last number or two in the DPCI either up or down depending on what size you need. 098 10 1109 is the number listed for the pair she shows in her photo in a kid’s size 11, so if you want the very next size up, you change that last 2 numbers to 10 or the next size down, you’d change it down by one number to 08. That can be done for any sized item that Target sells in about 98% of the circumstances. If you have the Target App installed on your phone, you can also look up a DCPI for just about any item and it should tell you if it’s in stock or not and if you’re in a store, it will tell you what aisle it’s located in. Clearance items are occasionally kept in their home spot until the space is needed for new items, otherwise you’d find them in a clearance area.

      • chrissy1925

when I looked it up on the app, it says online only. Doesn’t help this time to see if my local store has it in stock but thanks for the info. I downloaded the app just now.

  8. aesha

do these only come for boys also and what size — i need litte girls size 13 TIA 🙂

    • Sophie

I also saw them in pink at my store (same price as black ones above).

  9. lauraS.

    • Erin

Yeah, they really reduced their Converse stock at the Richmond stores, as well. 🙁 I couldn’t find any Converse for toddlers at my stores.

      • Kristy B

Awe, thanks for posting. Now I don’t have to make a special trip. I frequent the 2 targets on broad and the one on staples mill.

      • Erica Sue

I got 4 pairs of pink at the Mechanicsville Target. One for my daughter and one for each of my 3 nieces. They had quite a bit of,the pink ones tonight. I didn’t see the black ones

  10. starkissed01

Thanks Collin! Fingers crossed my target has these. My nephew is growing so fast, he already needs a new pair of shoes.

  11. Jennifer

It’s a no go in West Allis, WI. All Converse still full price. Price checked all styles and they all ring up retail. Hoping they will get marked down soon. I’ve got my coupons ready!

    • Laura

They are full price still here in central NJ too. I have my coupons ready too! 🙂 Here is to hoping they go on clearance soon!!!!

      • Donna

Laura, it doesn’t hurt to price scan it. The ones I bought were not in the clearance section and nore were “red” tagged – but I scanned it and they were $5.98!!!

    • Chris

Menomonee Falls had tons on clearance, if that helps.

      • Kayla

There was none left when I got there this evening.

  12. marissa

Has anyone had any trouble printing coupons from target. I have the catalina downloaded and it just says I cannot print these coupons at this time!!!!! I will be lost if I can’t use target coupons! Please help!

    • karen

marissa . I have the same problem!!

      • marissa

do you have any idea why or what to do?

    • Ashley

I was having this problem when I tried to print today. I tried several times and it just kept saying, “cannot print at this time” I had selected all of the coupons I wanted to print, which was 60 something coupons. I tried to again, this time only selecting around 30 coupons each time and they printed just fine! It was a hassle, but at least I got them printed. Not sure if you were trying to print a lot at once, but if so, maybe try to half it and try again. HTH!

    • CW

try a different browser??? Instead of Internet Explorer, try Google Chrome, etc?

  13. Tera @ Adventures in Mommy-hood

Hey Hipsters, if you can’t use these shoes, consider buying them and putting them in a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child, or donating to a local women’s shelter 🙂

    • Anna

great idea!! I need to start on my shoeboxes stat!!

    • Christie

Exactly what I plan to do! 🙂

    • Melissa

That is a great idea but I’d hope that if people are buying them to donate they’d wait a few days at least to give time for those of us who are hoping to by them for our own families. Please and thank you 🙂

  14. Karen

Marissa ,I have de same problem !

My store had some whose stickers were only 30% off, but I price-checked them and they were $5.98. The coupon beeped but the cashier accepted it anyway. It doesn’t say that it’s not valid on clearance items. Thanks for the heads up on this deal!

    • Donna

Mine beeped as well and the cashier called the Manager who was super nice and said “Wow, great buy. Did you check Cartwheel?”
