Below are the best Staples deals I see which start tomorrow, 10/13…

Easy Rebate & Staples Rewards Deals

Note that these Easy Rebate deals below may be even sweeter than what I have posted, as Staples usually releases printable coupons that can be used on these… and sometimes it makes them FREE (after the rebate and coupon). So make sure to head on over to the Staples.com Coupon page (starting tomorrow) to check out the new in-store coupons!

Staples Easy Rebates are just that, easy! Go on over here to read more about them. Basically you’ll be able to submit all your info online. You won’t even have to mail anything in– the best part in my opinion! You’ll receive your rebate/rebates within 4-6 weeks after submitting them.

Staples Rewards are pretty easy as well! Rewards members earn 10% back in Staples Rewards on all ink & toner purchases, 10% back in Staples Rewards on all case & ream paper purchases, and 10% back in Staples Rewards on all Copy & Print purchases. Staples Rewards are issued monthly when the value of the Reward is at least $10. Monthly balances of less than $10 will roll over each month until the minimum is met for that calendar quarter.

so you can get a ten ream for 49.99 and get it free from rebate and ALSO get the 2 half reams free with it as well?!?!

  2. anon

It’s $19.99 after the rebate for the ream set.

The $19.99 after coupon and rebate is for the week 10/6-10/12. For the week of 10-13 to 10-19 the case paper is free after rewards (store credit). Rewards are store credit to be issued next month if you have a Staples Rewards account. You can signup for a Rewards account on checking out.

The limit for the week of 10/13 on the case paper being 100% back in rewards is limit 1. You would have to buy another case at full price of $49.99 w/o any rewards received to get the half-case for free.

Is the rebate only offered as store credit? Or is check or paypal still an option for these?

        • Melissa

Rewards are store credit rebates are a check or PayPal to be used on snything.

        • JD

Rewards = store credit to be issued via your Rewards account the following month. Nothing to submit. Rebates you have have to submit online and you get a check in the mail 4-6 weeks usually. Rebates and Rewards are 2 totally different entities.

Hip2Save’s comments about earning 10% back on ink and paper in Rewards are out-of-date. ALL products (with some exceptions like gift card purchases) earn 5% back now except when for example there are 100% rewards back and then you just get the 100% rewards. No double dipping.

Staples changed their rewards program on 3/15/13. All products except as noted before earn 5%back in rewards. Everything including ink and paper. Not just ink and paper and a few other things like prior to the change. You also need to have purchased $30 in ink in the previous 180 days in order to recycle empty ink or toner cartridges for $2/cart.

It’s been a while since I ordered from Staples and it looks like there’s new rules.
If I use a coupon in conjuction with the 10 ream paper offer, will I still get the reward? Also, I have to spend $30 in ink in order to get $2 in ink cartridge recycle?

    • JD

You only get rewards back on a 100% rewards item on the amount you pay out-of-pocket. So if you use a coupon it lowers your out-of-pocket by the amount of the coupon but also lowers you rewards back by the same amount. You’ll save a little in sales tax that way. You pay the entire cost upfront after any coupons and you get the rewards the following month in your rewards account. You have 2+ months to spend it if you are a non-status Rewards member. You never really get your sales tax back just what you paid for the product with the rewards back.

Yes, you have to spend $30 out-of-pocket on ink/toner in the previous 180 days to be get rewards back on any cart/toner you recycle. Limit 10 cartridges/toners/month for non-status members.

      • JD

You can buy ink and recycle the same day in you purchase the ink in store. If you purchase the ink/toner online you should wait to recycle the empty cards after they are delivered.

JD, Thank you for all the information. It’s most helpful.

    • Rebecca @Stapler Confessions

You don’t see the rebate because it’s free after Rewards, not rebate.

  5. Vicki

I noticed there’s a coupon for 50% off all Bic writing instruments. If I were to buy a bunch of stuff that will cost about $30+, and one of which includes the BIC pens for $5 deal, will I be able to use the $ off $30 AND the 50% off coupon for BIC both at the same time? It’s confusing because the Bic 50% off does not stated any limit yet there’s “limit of one per customer” statement on the $/$30 coupon though. TIA

  6. Sophia

I bought the “Staples 8.5″ x 11″ Multipurpose Paper 500 sheets/ream $6.99” on Oct 14th, but the client didn’t give me any rebate form… And when I went to the easy rebate website, I was told I have to input “Rebate offer number”! Help@ What is the rebate offer number for this item!! 🙁
