Those of you who have been selected, did you all promise to use their site to invite friends? I always answer that question with a “no”. Wondered if that is why I haven’t been chosen yet. I’ve been applying since early 2010. Still hoping to get to host one soon.
Yes, you have to invite your friends through them, that’s how they send out the surveys. They are a marketing company and the surveys are how they are able to tell the companies that work with them what people think about the products.
I’ve hosted a Shutterfly party a few years ago and recently hosted the American Girl Craft Party. I just got selected for the HP Party that’s happening in November too! The key is to be very active in posting regarding your honest desires to host the party. If it’s something that is your “cup of tea” then let them know it loud and clear! The whole idea is that you really promote the party you are selected to host so they want people who are going to blog, FB, Tweet and really have a “party” for their guests. It’s also important to take and post photos of your event. If you want a box full of wonderful goodies that allow you to share valuable gifts and coupons with friends, this is the way to do it. I highly recommend trying out for whichever House Party interests you. There is a Duplo party and others that look interesting too. Just follow Collin’s link for all the details and good luck! 🙂
