I was reading some of the reviews on Amazon and it sounds like the version for 5.99 doesn’t include extras like Then and Now segments, etc. Also, sounds like the episodes may not be broken up into separate chapters, like it just plays all of them without breaks. Still, reviews are glowing and I remember my brother used to watch and love this show!
I teach elementary school and I can tell you that it is very hard to find the time to talk about history/social studies. I have so much English and math curriculum to cover that everything else gets neglected. I’m buying this because not only is it a good price, but I think my students will enjoy it. Parents, please talk to your kids about the history of our country (U.S.A.) because they might not be learning as much as they absolutely should in order to be good, well-rounded citizens and decision makers in the future. I think that watching this show together would be a good starting point. Parents are their kids’ first teachers!
