I’m not sure if it’s everywhere, but our WalMart price matches BOGO now. I was able to score a ton of great deals last week by price matching Publix’s bogo at WalMart.

    • Grace

I saved a lot doing BOGO price match too. I did Winn Dixie and Publix BOGO. A lot of great deals!

      • Amber

I believe its a pilot program but I do know its only in Florida as they are trying to steal Publix customers. My Walmart in Tampa won’t do it and I’ve already emailed Walmart with no response in how to get them to comply.

I got a coupon in my email from Kraft First Taste this morning for $2.00 off 1 Cracker Barrel cheese product 6-8 oz. My friend got $1.50/1 so coupon amount varies.

My Walmart had the fisher price little people wheelies loop n swoop amusement park on price cut for $24.97. It is $45 everywhere else including amazon and toys r us! And if you were able to print the $5/$20 purchase coupon it would be a great deal! (I wasn’t able to print it). I snatched one up for my 1yr old daughter 🙂

Just a heads up for Walmart shoppers. I was very disappointed and frustrated to learn as I was checking out yesterday that a new store policy has been activated regarding coupon use. If a coupon will not scan, they will not key in the numbers, they simply will not accept it regardless of the coupon source. I was so irritated because my coupons were legit (I couldnt’t create a coupon if my life depended on it). I had four of the $2 McCormick spice Qs from coupons.com and several others. I told the checker to take all the corresponding items back and credit my balance. I also questioned a manager who confirmed the policy. (I later realized that person was not a manager, so I still plan to speak with him in person). I even had two Qs for the same product where one was accepted and one was not. Go figure. I printed them both the same day. So, we will not know which coupons won’t be accepted until the end of each transaction. Unless they change this policy, I will take my printed coupons to use at friendlier stores. BTW this was in the Tulsa, OK area.

I had a very similar experience in Mid-Michigan. I actually had to complete the transaction, pay and then they tried to figure which coupons weren’t accepted. I also had 2 qs for the same product where one scanned and the other didn’t. Those items where the coupons didn’t scan had to be returned at customer service. I was told to call 1-800-wal-mart to complain–which I did. They just told me they would have the store manager call me, which at this point he has not. That happened last night, but I hope I’ll actually get a call. My coupons were legit. I am also looking at shopping elsewhere. I couldn’t believe they did this–especially before Christmas! Not smart, Walmart!!!

    • Brittany

Call 1-800-WALMART, Walmart stores are not allowed to make their own rules, and this is not a corporate company policy.

      • Larkin

I live in southwest VA & shop at 2 different Wal-Marts. I’ve had the same experience at both within the past couple of months. If it doesn’t scan, they WILL NOT accept it. It’s sad but they do make their own rules. Recently I had a coupon that required them to pay me overage and they refused. I sited their coupon policy which is posted at each register. Literally they are hung 2 feet from the cashiers face! Doesn’t make a difference. I was informed that they knew the policy but DID NOT follow it!!
Has anyone had any success in calling Wal-Marts corporate office handling issues with coupons?

        • bunny

Would it be useful to ask the cashier for their first and last name? Then ask for their manager’s first and last name. BTW, make this request in a very calm and matter-of-fact manner.

When you call Corporate, you can explain who specifically gave you the misinformation. 😉

          • robin

Wow i had this happen to me to they told me that they didnt have to key in the coupon an it was a new policy i live pgh pa i also didnt purchase the items i am tired of walmart giving me problems

  5. Yvonne

Yeah the walmart in my area doesn’t take Internet coupons if they don’t scan automatically. They have been doing this for over a year. It’s due to coupon fraud that has been occurring mostly within employees last year my walmart lost almost 100,000 with fake coupons. ( that’s a lot of coupons) also their new policy stated that they can’t accept an Internet printed coupon with a value higher than $3.

I just bought the Cracker Barrel brick cheese today and it cost $3.47 in Clifton Park, NY (not the rollback price of $3 shown above).

Buy 3 Bayer Aspirin 36 ct $2.22 each
    Total = $6.66
Use: $5/3 Bayer Healthcare Products: Bayer Aspirin, Citracal, Phillips, Aleve, One A Day, TruBiotics, Flintstones, Alka-Seltzer or Alka-Seltzer Plus Product coupon found in the 10/20 SS
    Final cost $1.66 total – $0.55 each!

Collin, I thought this $5 Bayer coupon expired on 10/27. At least the one I got in the Richmond, VA newspaper expired then.

  8. Becky

Kroger has their tombstone and Red Barron pizzas are on sale for $2.50 each and use the $1/2 coupons. com and they will only be $2!

  9. Niki

I went to Walmart this morning to buy a few things and use up 2 FREE coupons that I received via USPS (glossy Q’s in color). Well, I had to stand there and wait for the cashier to call someone over to approve the coupons. Cashier stated that this was new, don’t know if it was just my store in NW PA or if this is a nationwide thing. I only used 3 coupons, all glossy coupons, no IP’S. Only two of them were for free products, still a big hassle. Every time I go to Walmart it is a hassle and I don’t even extreme coupons, usually no more than 3-4 at a time at the most!

  10. Lucy

3 of my coupons wouldn’t work and she totaled the transaction anyway. We paid then had to go to customer service to be re-imbursed. I hope that’s not the new system.
