Am I correct that Kroger will not let you use the Ecoupon and paper coupon at the same time for the turkey?

    • Craddie

      that is correct

    • Kt

you use the paper coupon and savingstar should credit you as well with the ecoupon. At least they usually do! Its not an immediate savings.

  2. Jai

Depends on the store. When you have a digital coupon it takes it off first. Then if you use a paper one it won’t scan unless the cashier does it manually.

I searched this site for an explanation of how savings star works but didn’t find one. I clicked the link to the above post but am still a little confused. So you load the coupons to a card for a store that you choose, like CVS or Kroger and then that coupon will automatically be deducted when your card is scanned at the store and you buy the item? So if your store doubles still like Kroger you can’t use a paper coupon and get credit through savings star? Hope I’m making sense, help!

Hi Steph, SavingStar deposits the value any offers you redeem into your SavingStar account. Savings post in 2-22 days depending on the store. You’ll receive an email when they post. See the FAQ on our website for more details. Thanks, Josh from SavingStar

Savingstar e-offers are reimbursed AFTER you purchase the participating product/s.

Most stores do not allow you to use both their e-coupon store offers WITH paper coupons. The register will kick back on or the other. Example @ Rite Aid, if I load 2 card and have a paper coupon for the same item, the l2c will come off first, but if I give them a paper coupon for the same item, the register will remove the l2c. Basically no double dipping with e-coupons & paper coupons.

With savingstar, it seems you will get credit whether you use e-coupon store offers or paper coupons.

And to make the Butterball deal even sweeter, If you have a BiLo in your area they also have a BiLo e coupon for the same thing. So, that’s $9 off. The coupons dot com printable, the BiLo e coupon that you load to your BiLo card which comes off at checkout, and the savings star deposit, all $3 each. I’ve noticed BiLo has been doing that alot lately. And if you have competitor coupons you can use them in conjunction with all the above. I love BiLo.

    • rose

you can’t double dip the ecoupon + paper coupon. One or the other, then you get reimbursed through savingstar after your purchase.

      • Kristy

Not true Rose. I do it every month.

        • rose

Store Ecoupon offers are a different form of manuf payment. I’d be like using an IP + a tearpad on the same item. Ecoupon is a digital offer, so you should not use a paper coupon on the same item. The stores I shop that have ecoupons, allow one or the other, not both. It might work for you now, but that loophole can close at any time.

          • Susie

Rose, it’s been that way for years, actually on purpose, not a loophole. Look for yourself.
            *Go to BiLo dot com
*Click on “Ways to Save” tab in the upper left hand corner
*Click on “Read the terms of our incredible every day savings with coupons”
*That brings up the page “BiLo coupon acceptance Guidelines”
            Be Amazed because it’s awesome!

            • mel

Hi Susie! Not to beat a dead horse LOL! But I shop at Winn Dixie. I was curious, so I followed your advice and all I’m seeing when I pull up the guideline is
One manufacturer coupon and One store coupon can be redeemed per item.

@ Winn Dixie, their policy says this:
              Q. Can I use an e-coupon and a paper coupon for the same item in a single transaction?
              A. No, Winn-Dixie does not accept electronic manufacturer coupons and paper manufacturer coupons for the same item in a transaction

Its been my understanding that electronic coupons ARE manuf coupons, just a different source. Like you can’t use an IP + a blinkie on the same item. In this case you’re using a digital cpn and a paper coupon, both mauf offers on the same item. If you click on ‘see detail’ on the bilo ecoupon offers, they say Limit One Coupon Per Purchase and many have the manuf remit address. One of them says “No other coupon may be used with this coupon.”

      • Susie

Actually at BiLo, because I do it routinely, if all are available on the same item, you can use 1 manufacturer coupon, 1 competitor coupon, 1 BiLo e coupon that you’ve loaded to your BiLo card at BiLo dot com ( you’ll see this on your receipt it comes off as e coupon ZVR savings), and get the savings star deposit as well. It’s my favorite store! When I say “you get the savings star deposit” that means you get an email from savings star letting you know you have X amount for X product added to your savings star account. In this case it would be $3 from the Butterball promotion. If you have a BiLo near you Rose, you’ve really been missing out by not taking advantage of all that’s offered there. Check it out, their coupon policy is posted on BiLo dot com.

        • rose

No, I don’t have a BILO. But if it works for you using all 3, that’s pretty nifty! It doesn’t for me. Either the ecoupon or paper coupon. All the eq’s come off first, but when I give a paper coupon, the ecoupon is removed. Then I get savingstar deposit a few days later.

          • Susie

You must shop at Rite Aid, it works that way there. If you have a CVS that might be a better option. You can use a manufacturer coupon and a CVS coupon both on the same item there. Then you get the savings star deposit too. CVS and BiLo are my favorite local stores to shop at because of that. I also like Publix for their great coupon policy, stacking a store and a manufacturer coupon, plus the savings star deposit, but the closest one is an hour away so I don’t get there very often.

  6. steph

Wow, I am still confused. In this post it says the ecoupon will pair nicely with the paper coupon but people are also saying it is either or but not both. ????

    • rose

You CAN use the SAVINGSTAR E-Coupon With a PAPER coupon. You CANNOT use a PAPER coupon with a STORE E-Coupon Offer for the SAME item/s.

Think of Savingstar like a rebate, like ibotta, where you get your money back after your purchase. That’s why you can stack with a paper coupon. Using a paper coupon with a store e-coupon is double-dipping on the same item and you’re not supposed to do that since the manuf is reimbursing the store.

    • Susie

Steph, it depends on the store. Some stores will and some won’t. Check the coupon policy for the store you are interested in on their website. I know where I live, I’ve personally received Saving Star deposits from items that I’ve bought at CVS and BiLo that I used multiple coupons on at the store.

  7. Stephanie

The rite aid facebook coupon, is it only good on one box? Or could I get 3 and it would take the $3 off each one? Because I know I was only able to print one.

  8. Lynne

The $2 ECB reward for the Dial soap at CVS was not available in my local store in Southern California. 🙁
