Hi Evie, when I select Etsy to send a card, your name does not come up when I type it in friends field. But when I select wrapp a gift, your name comes up in friends list, but Etsy is not an option to choose, but there are other stores. I’m downloading the app to my phone to see if I can get the Esty card to you that way.
this is a problem I am experiencing with this app— I can select ALL of my “other” friends to send them gifts, but not those who I added just for this purpose to exchange gifts. I feel kind of guilty that they send me gifts and I cannot reciprocate because they are NOT on the list (computer or phone) 🙁
The app doesn’t work either to send Etsy, but it looks like I can send a different card. Is there one that you want? I can try that and see if it goes through. The app on my phone already told me that I am unable to receive cards on my FB account though.
I don’t know how to do it? I get to the part about: celebrate friends, find a friend, I’ve typed several names from this list above and nothing is working. Am I doing something wrong?

You have to write a note next to the name. Then it works.
what note are you talking about? I don’t see these folks on my friends list when I go to this app. They are no where to be found in Wrapp but under my friends in FB.
Wrapp is indeed legit, folks! So far, I’ve gotten $15 in free Godiva chocolate (5 each to me, hubs and a buddy), $18 to H&M (ditto), $10 to Hearts.com, a free Barkbox of treats for sending Barkbox coupons to 10 friends (that promo’s over, though), and $15 to office max (same me-hubs-friend thing).
Once you receive a gift – say, I send you a $6 free one to H&M (free for me to send, too!), other people can’t send that to you, so you can’t rack up a bunch of money to one store or anything. I don’t know the true algorithms behind it, either, so sometimes you won’t be able to send a certain gift to a certain person, regardless of whether they’ve gotten it yet or not. Free cards are capped at 10-ish people at a time, I believe.
You will need to have a “real” facebook account (no junk accounts with only 2 friends and no activity in a bunch of months) and a smartphone to redeem, but other than that, you’re good.
As to why they do it, it’s amazing exposure. Between tax or that “last thing” to bump up the items to meet the minimum ($5 even for a $5 card, etc) or impulse buys, the stores make a good chunk on this stuff, trust me. Plus, bodies in the store gives them a “busy” impression and makes non-app users want to see what all the fuss is about. They come in, buy something, etc. 🙂
