HOT! Getting Toasty! Lukewarm Starting To Melt Ice Ice Baby
0.0 / 0 ratings

Have you noticed how all my lows recently have focused on food? Well, this week is no different. My low is indeed the fact that I purchased a party size bag of Smartfood Popcorn and somehow ate the entire bag way too quickly (and no, I will not admit how quickly the bag disappeared!). Apparently, I am not alone, though, in terms of my popcorn addiction – check out this Facebook post to see what I mean. 😉

My high is the fact that Fall Weather has arrived in full-force here in Boise. This is one of my favorite times of year – I love watching the leaves change in color, sitting by my fireplace (I have learned how to start a roaring fire all by myself – a very proud moment for me!) and drinking hot chocolate! Now if we could just skip Winter and move right on to Spring… 😉

[h2s_box]Every Wednesday, I share my high(s) and low(s) for the past week and I encourage you to do the same in the comment section below. My high(s) will simply be the best or most exciting thing that happened to me over the last week or so and my low(s) will be something not so great that took place. [/h2s_box]

There’s a lot of air in the bag between all that popcorn. 😉

  2. Ashley

I second the let’s just move on to spring comment 😉 I love fall but winter? Not really, the snow’s pretty until you have to go outside! Lol Oh and the popcorn? That’s alright, you gotta balance out all the sweet from last week with some salty, I get it 😉

She is gettin so big when I first started following u she was so little now she looks like a smaller version of her cute and sweet mama

    • Ambo

I was thinking the same thing! Especially with her hair like that!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I know… my kiddos are growing up way too fast! 🙁

  4. Bella

Okay so I have to admit that I opened a Party size bag of Cheetos Puffs yesterday afternoon and the bag is completely empty about 24 hours later…I would like to say I shared them at a party but sadly my husband and I finished the entire bag! Yikes!! My high for the week: celebrating my Grandfathers 92nd birthday!

  5. Amy ODonell

I would just like to share a weekly high… the final total at the cash register after all the savings we now make for my family. This high is 100% due to your website. I can’t thank you enough for changing a direction of our lives.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awe…. that’s so awesome to hear! So excited for you! 🙂

  6. Elizabeth

We definitely eat a lot of popcorn in our house, just picked up a bunch off the Target Halloween clearance too. We got several inches of snow yesterday, not a lot of fall type weather here.
My low was going to the Dr today and have her fit both my wrists for splints because of possible carpal tunnel. I am not sure how I am going to perform my regular duties at work so I am going to have to have a sit down with my boss tomorrow 🙁

The low point of my week was I bought some fast food – which I never do… So of course, I feel bad about that. The high point was when I watched Michelle Knight being interviewed. She truly is strong, beautiful, caring and giving. I hope she knows how many people truly do care for her and support her. She truly should remind each and every one of us how very blessed we are. Another high point, my antibiotics kicked in and I’m kicking this cough that’s been going on 5 weeks… Yeah. Feeling good. Thank you, Collin, for all you do.

I’m from Cleveland and its amazing to see how much the community has done for those girls!

  8. Elymommy

I just ate an entire bag of Popcorn Indiana last night… :X

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh that’s my other favorite kind of popcorn. LOL! And if I had that in my house, I’d eat an entire bag too! 😉

  9. rose

Piper is adorable. I has been fun watching your kids grow up. It’s like I know them!

  10. DC

Oh my goodness YUM, now I’m craving popcorn…Lol thanks, Collin!! 😉

My lows would be both of my kiddos and I being sick all week. 🙁 My high point would be that my little Facebook couponing page hit 161 likes. I know it’s nowhere near what other sites have, but I was proud. 🙂

    • Lexis

Yay, congrats!! What is your FB site?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Congrats on your FB page!!

And sorry to hear you all have been feeling under the weather… that stinks. 🙁 Hopefully you are starting to feel better?

  12. Laura

Low- I’ve been eating way too much ice cream!

  13. Amanda M

  14. Starla

My high this week is that my son did not get in a wreck again, my low last week was that he crashed my car, maybe totaled it 🙁

  15. MissLaughsLot (@LDYPrefers2Save)

My high this week is my husband turning thirty-nine tomorrow; he is in the best health of his life and lost fifty pounds this year and is back to the weight he was in the Army! My low for the week, I am about to start cleaning and organizing my house for a small shindig tomorrow for hubby! I’m lazy, all I want to do is sip herbal and cozy up with a blanket and read!

  16. Mrs.Mellia

My high would be starting a Whole 30 for the second time. FINALLY! I have been attempting to do another one since August. My low would be that I am not prepared and my meals have been so boring. So looking forward to grocery day:)

    • Shelly

Congrats on starting Whole30. I just finished my 3rd one. It’s been life changing.

  17. Adri mom

My high was being a preschool room mom for my 3 year olds Halloween party. Completely random question, but I know readers on here are from all over the US so… What’s the best “small town” for a family? Do small town like those in books and movies exist? Yes, I’m willing to give up my Target for some fresh air & friendly strangers. Right now my low is living near the murder capital of the US but not sure where to even start thinking about relocating ….

    • Maria

I live in the SW corner of Wisconsin, and yes, little friendly towns do exist here. Dubuque, Ia isnt very far away to shop at Target, Micheals, Hobby Lobby, Shopko, etc..

      • heather

I am on the Illinois side. SUPER nice area, small town feel but shopping is close. Don’t forget about experiencing all four seasons. And if you are ever in the area Galena is beautiful.

    • K

^ Summerville, South Carolina is lovely.

    • Leslie

Not sure where you want to live but we LOVE living in Colorado…never want to live anywhere else! Louisville, CO…is a great small town…lovely mainstreet, little shops, homey feel!

    • Tilla Ham

I love living in Washington state. it is so beautiful here, we are the only state that has mountains, oceans, rain forests, deserts…we have amazing beautiful fall and though everyone jokes about our rainfall, we are actually only 27th in the nation for rainfall…no where near the top:) we don’t get hurricanes, tornadoes, we do have volcanoes and earthquakes but tis’ been awhile:) my grandmother lives in a lovely small town called Buckley which is only 10 minutes from a larger town with many amenities. I live in the middle…not a huge city like seattle but not tiny. love it

      • Tilla Ham

but you know how I would choose? I would google “best school district in the nation” and buy a house there!

      • Adri mom

Thanks everyone!!! Looking up those locations now!

    • maflies1

We have lived in the midwest and FL, and born in MO. We had friends that recommended the beautiful state and people of AR. We did some research, visited the state twice before moving, and love it here. Beautiful scenery and friendly people. As one poster stated, do a thorough check of schools if you have children, to see how they are rated, etc. Ratings don’t mean everything, but do help in making a decision. Come visit AR and see if you, and your family, like it as well!

  18. JM

High for the week- completely painted a free fridge and actually taped off all the parts I usually slop paint all over. Mission accomplished and it looks pretty spiffy.

Low for the week- company is coming tomorrow and I didn’t rush around and do a mad clean up of the house. Maybe they will take the hint and clean it up for me? 😉

  19. Robin

I am a popcorn addict also. I eat it almost every night, beg my hubby to make this huge bowl of it and our family will eat it until we cant eat anymore. Then we eat the left overs the next day, if it makes it to the next day. LOVE it.

  20. crystal

My low is this annoying sore throat that I have. My high is that I just had a lovely meal out with my family. Yay for not having to cook tonight.

  21. Laura

Fall weather in full force would be fantastic! We got 4 inches of snow yesterday and made a snow man! It’s winter here! And I’m actually not minding it, we’ll see how long that lasts!

  22. Holly

My high is I got my foot in the door for a potentially phenomenal business relationship with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA)! And, I just completed a proposal for Social Media consulting for Pinterest, AND, you should try Life by Dallas Popcorn. It will disappear faster than you can blink. Find it at Wegman’s or Whole Foods. Report back on your popcorn research. I like the Italian. 🙂

  23. Tilla Ham

target food court popcorn is pretty epic. my high for the week was getting a great deal on a great wolf lodge room…my low for the week, the baby I babysit is ill and now my children are getting it and we go to great wolf lodge Monday!!!!!

  24. Michelle

My low was when the searches were coming up empty for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. They had been missing in Wyoming since Tuesday, October 29th. My high was when they were found alive Monday morning!! If any of you happened to see their picture on FB and spread the word or prayed for them I am very thankful!!! It was truly a miracle and I can’t stop smiling!!

    • tracy

that is very scary, what had happened to them?

      • Michelle

They followed their GPS out of Yellowstone and got stuck in the snow for 6 nights – 10,000 feet, sub zero weather, howling winds. They’re all over the news: Mark & Kris Wathke. I’m still smiling 🙂

    • maflies1

That is very good news and I am so happy for them, and all of your family. Yes, they were truly taken care of! And GPS are great, but not infallible. How awful for them. Have a wonderful holiday season!

  25. Dar

Love reading everyones comments. My high for the week is that I’m no longer chasing happiness I just need to look around me and its there. My low would be a frost took the last of my plants.
