Anyone know when the giftcard will be able to be used? I’m looking at getting 2 ipad minis.

    • Ketsy

Last year I bought the iPad and got the gift card and paid for my other items in another register with the gift card. 🙂 iPad will probably have their own register like last year. It was in the gun or jewelry counter.

  2. Amanda

Will these deals be available online also? Or only on stores?

    • LynnNV

The “1-hour in stock guarantee” items seem to be in store only as the ad reads, “Wristbands may be distributed on select items prior to event start time.”

    • gloria

i want the trampolin thats on sale for 165. does anybody know if i can get that online that same day .

  3. Jennifer

Does walmart price match other Black Friday ads on Black Friday?

    • Heather

The website is a little confusing about it, in my opinion. Earlier today I emailed them to see.. only out of curiosity.

    • Em

      No

    • Lucy

Walmart will NOT price match the items in their event paper!!!!

    • Nick

Yes they will ad match other stores Black Friday ad. However, you CANNOT use their ad match guarantee. So what does this mean? You can price match other retailers in Black Friday. What you cannot do it buy the item now that will be in the retailers ad and then get the difference back on a Walmart get card.

    • Danielle

      yes!

    • Danielle

      yes

  4. Meghan

These are awesome, but I think I am going to wait until Cyber Mon 🙂 Do you know of any good deals on laptops for cyber Mon? I’m in desperate need. Thanks!!

  5. Kristina

Is the skylanders and 16 Inch bike good deals?

    • Heather

It’s about a $20 discount on the Skylanders.. I’ve seen them for $59.99 not on sale normally. So, the discount is about 33% off. HTH

    • Ger

If you are referring to the Skylanders Swap Force starter pack … yes! Black Friday deal is half off the list price. This starter pack came out in October. My kids could not wait for this new game. Lol! Otherwise I would’ve waited. TRU also has this starter pack on sale for BF. Their price is only $1 cheaper though.

      • Kristi B

        Thanks!!!

        • Amy

I just got the starter pack with 7 figurines total for $89 at Costco….definitely worth it

    • Jess

It is included in the target deal now Buy 2 get one free. I am getting that and 2 call of duty ghosts games With the free game it will make them about 40 each Much better than waiting in line

  6. Heather

By the way, a helpful tip if you are shopping at Walmart on Thanksgiving/Black Friday.. check out in the electronics area or gun area! I had a less than 5 minute wait last year while the front of the store had lines wrapped around forever!

  7. thecents2save

PLEASE NOTE, their rules say that if the item is out of stock you may purchase a “guarantee card” to ensure the item ships before Christmas, for ONE item only.
Better than nothing but if you were hoping to snag more than one item (like me!), you won’t be able to.

    • LynnNV

If you have a Black Friday shopping buddy or family member with you, they could certainly buy another item for you. Buy a WM or even a Visa GC to use before hand. 🙂

    • Anna

thats for the 1 hour in stock guarantee items

    • Julie

Where did you see the one item only? I see where it states, “limit one price guarantee card per item, per person”.

  8. K

6pm on thanksgiving, really?? I don’t know about anyone else, but i’m getting frustrated with the stores ruining thanksgiving… 🙁

    • PV

Me too! For the great deals you would have to be in line at noon! I wish they would go back to the 5am sales!

      • K

        I agree!

      • Sarah

They have the 1-hr in stock guarantee so you don’t need to wait in line.

I think good for the companies. Those walmart employees would have been working anyways. And they are late enough in the day that the employees can still enjoy their thanksgiving (since many people do their meal around 2 ) AND unlike on Black Friday they will be getting time and a half maybe even better. If I still worked in retail I certainly wouldn’t mind working the Thursday evening shift.

    • PV

The 3rd round of sales is Friday at 8am not pm

    • Emily

Walmart has always been open on Thanksgiving.

      • K

yes but it seems it keeps getting earlier and earlier every year :/

    • steph

Don’t like it, then don’t go.

      • K

Thats just the thing, I really Want to go. There are some items I’d love to get, I just hate that I have to miss out on family time for it. And I know a lot of people aren’t going for moral reasons, but the majority are still going to go, so in the end not going isn’t going to do anything but make me miss the deals… its just frustrating to me because I feel like black friday should be just that… black Friday, not thursday… I’m not trying to start a fight or anything, just stating that it makes me frustrated and wondering if I’m alone in those feelings.

        • Keri

You’re not alone at all! I feel the exact same way. Half of my family is planning on leaving early to go shopping. It makes me sad that I won’t get to spend quality family time with my family on Thanksgiving when they are the ones I am most thankful for. And even though we will be together for a short time, most of that time will most likely be focused on searching ads, then rushing out to go get the deals.
For me, I would LOVE to go and get some of the great deals, but family time is more important, so I will stay home, especially because we’re hosting dinner. My family on the other hand couldn’t do as much for Christmas without some of these deals.
I think the worst part is that people are now forced to have to choose – deals or family, instead of being able to celebrate on one day, then get the deals on the next day.
Maybe next year we’ll have to have “black Friday” on Thursday and celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday. “sigh”

    • Julie

      I agree & I won’t be going!

    • Tara

I agree, this defeats the purpose of Black Friday. All the deals are now on Thursday…..won’t be going either. Turkey day is for family not shopping!

      • annad

I’m switching my black friday and thanksgiving. Easy. Shopping on Thursday and eating and resting on friday!! Who cares which day it is.

    • Jessica

This will be my first Black Friday shopping trip ever, because of the early sale I am able to participate in the Black Friday frenzy. I have to work on the Friday after Thanksgiving so this actually works better for me. 🙂 Happy Shopping!

    • Bama-Bret Hansen

There are quite a few problems with it actually.
1.First it affects everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving. (In America that is a lot of people.)
2.I know many retail workers who were excited to participate in BF, because the hours of stores were opening earlier so they could attend; just to find out the store they work at will also be opened and they will be required to work a holiday. While people are saying that all those walmart employees would be working anyways, that’s not the case. Walmart was lightly staffed on Thanksgiving because people were mainly there for grocery items that had been forgotten. Now many more employees are required to work to handle the large crowds.
      3. I get the whole if you don’t like it don’t go. That’s why personally I’m not. Nothing will stop retailers from opening earlier, except not getting the money they want to earn. So to change it people need to not spend on Thanksgiving. I personally am doing my hardest to find the deals and the prices I would be getting on Black Friday ahead of time, Honestly over 1/2 my Christmas list is complete with the same or prices less then I would have paid on BF. Head over here to let retailers see that you don’t want to shop. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Say-No-To-Shopping-on-Thanksgiving/310996065707642?ref=br_tf

On the iPhone 5 deal (must sign up with a contract)–is this deal for new customers only or can existing (AT&T) customers take advantage of the sale too???

    • Sara

Probably if you’re eligible for an upgrade.

    • Stephanie

I got a flier for Sam’s Club today. They are offering the iPhone 5C for $.96 (with a new 2 year contract) on November 24 from 7-9 pm only. It says “by invitation only” but I’m not really sure how they could keep others out of it?! Just a heads up if you are in the market for one! 🙂

      • Stephanie

Also, if your contract is up any renewal is considered a “new contract” HTH!

    • Sarah

Yes you can! I work for AT&T and Walmart is one of the stores I visit in my territory so I can say 100% yes you can get the deal if you upgrade. HTH.

      • JessRios

Do you know if there will be a limit? I have 4 kids and 4 available upgrades I would like to get 3 of them the iphone 5c.

        • Sarah

I will find out if there is a limit and let you know.

  10. Rachel

This is the fret year I have had my kids Xmas do e so early nothing is very appealing in this ad. I would love iPad but can’t afford that cost kids Jamie and so s DVDs not sure if that’s worth the line

    • Stephanie

Most times if you wait and go in after all the madness, a lot of the movies will be left. That’s what my husband and I do. 🙂

  11. MG

So glad I’ve been better about shopping early for Christmas and going on here to see Collin’s great deals 🙂

  12. Em

Mini dippers are TERRIBLE! The bowl doesn’t come out to wash. What a pain in the

  13. Jai

Least at walmart you don’t have to wait out in the cold like other stores!

  14. HeatherS

Are we able to put the iPad mini on layaway on Black Friday sales

  15. Misty Nicole Overstreet

I’m glad to see what amazing deals Collins mas posted, and as my holiday shopping is all but finished, I can shop for my home! As a newlywed, this is awesome!

  16. Michelle

I bought the mini chopper last year and love it!

  17. mom

that cyco cycle looks like so much fun! and what a great deal!

  18. Anonymous

The heat will be on sale 9.99 with a $7 printable makes it $2.99

    • prabsun

what is the deal that you are talking about?

      • mxlcpx

        maybe the movie?

      • Anonymous

        Yes the dvd

  19. Holly

Honestly, I love Black Friday. It is a tradition for my sister and I to go, and we LOVE it!!! I am more than disappointed with the store hours this year. I will be spending my money at stores like Menards, opening at 6am on Friday. Family is more important to me than saving a few $$. I know some people rely on these sales to give their family a great Christmas. Stores are forcing them to miss one holiday or the other. It is not right.

    • Emily

Walmart has been open on Thanksgiving for years and years. It isn’t new. By staggering the sales they are trying to keep costumes safe from the crazy shoppers, so don’t blame the store blame the shoppers.

      • Julie

Walmart has been open for years on Thanksgiving but they closed at 6pm and reopened on Friday morning for the black Friday events…it’s earlier every year..6am,4am, 2am, 12am, 10pm & now 6pm.

      • Tara

Yes they were open, but the deals weren’t until Friday!

        • Emily

If you don’t like it don’t shop. It shoppers fault. No business would open if people didnt shop. It’s your own fault.

          • Tara

I wouldn’t say it is anyone’s fault, it’s just money…plain and simple, the stores are competing for business.

            • Shaheena

I’ve read that they don’t make any MORE money than they did when they opened on BF, they just make it earlier.

Also, I think it sucks for the employees. Chances are, they will have to work at least a 12 hour shift, and they have to get there BEFORE the store opens at 6, so I would assume a 4 pm – 4 am shift. Probably in order to stay awake for that, they’ll need to sleep most of Thanksgiving Day, so won’t get any time with their families.

  20. laura

Interested in the Samsung Galaxy S III Straight Talk phone for $299. Anybody know anything about it. Is that a good price? Is it a good phone?

    • Kelli

I loved my galaxy s3. Don’t know much about straight talk though. Its about $50 month…i personally would get a used phone cheaper then 299 and sign up month to month with a different company ie verizon, sprint, at&t. Selling my s3 on eBay because after having it 6 weeks sprint terminated service in my area….at least I didn’t have to pay the termination fee, if you buy a $299 phone from them and hate the service then what? At least if you buy a cheaper one on eBay or Craigslist you don’t have to sign a contract with any company.

    • Kristen

great phone but you have to get the sim cutfor straight talk, which is a pain. Got mine off ebay used for $325

  21. molliebair

When I went to Wal-Mart today, I tried using the $10.00 coupon on the Imaginext product. They have it posted on all registers that this coupons plus the one for the Little People Farm Set are fake. They will not take them. I am going to Target on Wednesday to see if the same thing is listed there.

    • Stephanie

I used mine at Toys R Us with no problems a few weeks ago!

    • Rachel

What???? Why would they think that?

  22. Sheena

Does anyone know anything about the Nabi 2 Tablet…worth getting or just get another Kindle Fire? Can kids stream movies on the Nabi, like they can on the Kindle Fire. Can I download apps off the internet and such. If anyone has one or knows much about them, give me your opions…please 🙂

    • Stephanie

I bought my son the Nabi 2 Nickelodeon edition, at it is awesome! He hasn’t used it yet, it’s for Christmas, but I got it out of the box and set it up. I love it! It can be used in kid mode or mommy mode, which includes an app store, a nook app, and much more. It can basically be used as a Kindle, but it comes pre-loaded with over $200 worth of apps, Nickelodeon shows, games, and books. I’m so excited to have him open it. And I’m pretty sure they can stream movies, it cost’s around $2 a month (I think)!

      • Stephanie

        And it’s wifi enabled!

    • annad

It has horrible reviews online. I check out all reviews on amazon

      • WIMom

That’s too bad, the Nabi is really a GREAT tablet, we got one for our 2 year old last christmas… but my 3 kids (up to 8yr) all fight over it. It’s very sturdy. You can download from the Amazon App store or the Nabi app store. We have Netflix on ours so that we can stream video instead of using the preloaded app… we also have a Nexus 7 and I would say for the younger kids this is much safer but they can still do all the stuff “the big kids do” with limits… and special apps.

    • Barbara

Just bought a used one for my daughter she loves it. Not sure I would pay the $179 retail but $99 yes yes yes.

      • Laura

My two boys ages 7 and 5 each got Nabi’s last year and LOVE them. I don’t know why they would get bad reviews. They get to play their games simultaneously and have a blast. They never get bored of them. They really are awesome for kids!

  23. sherry

does anyone know if Justice ever has a good black Friday sale?

  24. Sarah

They’re advertising in event 1 a PS4 system for $399. That isn’t on sale at all. I really want to get DH one of these but it seems $399 is the price no matter where I look. Bummer.

    • Krystal D

Those products like video game systems the prices are set by the manufacturer and the retailer cannot lower the price. They also make no or minimal money on these systems and count on people buying additional accessories and merchandise. You will not find them on sale although I have in previous years (am not looking this year) seen Best Buy offer incentives like bundles or gift cards for purchases just to get consumers in the door.

  25. Cassie

Anyone know if there is a limit on the ipad mini? We had planned to get 3, one for each kid, beforehand. And now there is a eat deal! Just want to make sure I can get 3. Ad iwonder, what is the likelihood of them even being in stock? I plan to get there early but don’t know what time?

    • annad

Limit is one but target is running a similar deal.

      • Priscilla

Maybe this has already been asked and answered but there are so many comments that I missed it. If Walmart is giving wristbands for the deals like the iPad mini, how much before 6pm do you have to be in the store (or in a line)? Or do they give you a wristband when you walk in the store at 6pm and then you are guaranteed to get one? I remember they had lines going through the frozen foods last year but I wasn’t waiting in any lines like that for anything.

  26. Teresa

Don’t buy the waffle maker. I bought the same one a few years ago. It cooks unevenly and is very thin. I went back to using my half broken one instead. You couldn’t pay me to use that thing.

  27. Beverly

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Phone (must sign up for a contract) + Get back a $100 Walmart Gift Card is missing the price. It’s going to be $99.

  28. Savy Shopper

The rival mini chopper is awesome! Definitely worth the hype!

  29. Renee

I have a $10 off swap force starter pack coupon from a Doritos pack months ago. Will I be able to use it on this deal?

  30. Zoe

Does anyone know if Walmart refunds the difference if Walmart lowers the price on an item?

  31. Meredith

8 pm on Friday! Seriously, what happened to shopping early Friday morning?!?

  32. Meredith

8PM on Friday! Seriously, what happened to getting up before dawn for Black Friday?!?

  33. Heather

Is there a limit on how many Iphone 5c and Gift cards you can get at Walmart on BlackFriday?

  34. Rachel

I’ve only seen deals for the iPad mini 16gb. We really need the 32 gb-anyone seen a deal for that?

  35. carla

What time do you recommend getting there for the xbox 360- $99? I don’t usually go but my kids want an xbox? I think it goes on sale at 6 but what time should I get there?

  36. Roseann

I think toysrus has the nabi on sale now- you can price match at walmart! I am thinking of getting this for my 3yearold.

The nintendo 2DS is on sale for $99 has anyone seen this cheaper or know if it will be on sale online for the same price?

  37. Roseann

Nevermind I didn’t see the Nabi in the ad they came out with yesterday bummer

  38. Town

Anyone know if the ipad deal is online or just in store only?
I do not want to waste precious family time waiting in line from thurs at noon:)

  39. Christy

Question, I have Verizon and am eligible for an upgrade. Does that qualify to get one of the new iphones? I hate to go over and wait if not.

  40. Pellet

Maine still honors family time, stores don’t open till 12:01am.

  41. Mahendra

The Ipad Mini Walmart put on sale (Price: $299+$100 gift card) on the day of Black Friday 2013 had “One Hour Guarantee”. That means in that one hour guarantee period, whoever got the ticket of that item and paid for that item must have the item too. They cannot say the item is out of stock, and especially, they cannot say the item is out of stock when they already get paid for the item 17-18 days ago. And now they sent me an email showing they canceled my order saying the item is out of stock. When I paid for the item on Black Friday night(17-18 days ago), the item wasn’t out of stock. On Black Friday, I stayed awake the whole night and got the ticket including excess code and paid for my iPad Mini, and registered my excess code and purchase online, and in few hours I already received the confirmation email from Walmart, which showed my order will be ready between 12/14/13 and 12/22/13 at my local Walmart store. And now on the 12/13/13, I received an email showed that Walmart issued $328.16 to gift card and canceled my order. I didn’t stay awake the whole night on Black Friday to buy just Walmart gift card. If I want to buy just Walmart gift card, I can go to the store anytime and buy it. I didn’t make any mistake, I didn’t complain that Walmart’s site didn’t let me register the excess code in certain time limit like others did, then why should I suffer?

I already bought the case cover for this ipad mini in first week of December, and emotionally attached to this item, and have been waiting for since I paid for my item(17-18 days ago). If Walmart wasn’t sure whether that item would be “in stock or out of stock”, the Walmart wasn’t supposed to advertise “One Hour In-stock Guarantee” on the sale paper, and make customers paid for the item at the store right away. Now they don’t want to refund the money either saying their system won’t let them refund the money, so they issued gift cards in the name of refund the money.

It is really immoral and shameful if they cancel the order just like this, especially big store like Walmart saying the item is out of stock after these 18 days.
