Starbucks: Buy 1 Tumbler for $65 = FREE Espresso Beverage Every Single Day in Jan. 2014 – LIVE NOW

UPDATE: These tumblers are now out of stock online; however, you should be able to purchase them at your local Starbucks Store.

Calling all Starbucks fanatics! Starting NOW (and for the next 24 hours or while supplies last!), purchase a Starbucks Stainless Steel Espresso Refill Tumbler 16 oz. for $65 at your local Starbucks Store or online here (out of stock online 🙁 ). Yes, I know this sounds extremely pricey for a tumbler…

However, you can then bring the tumbler into a participating Starbucks store in January 2014 and you will receive 1 FREE handcrafted espresso beverage everyday throughout the month of January (a $140 value!) . Now I know this deal does not make sense for everyone, but for those of you who hit up Starbucks regularly, this may be worth it. Basically if you go to Starbucks 30 times during the month (almost every single day), you are essentially paying $2.17 per grande espresso beverage and are scoring a FREE tumbler – which is a great deal for normally pricey Starbucks drinks!

And I personally think this would make a wonderful gift for any Starbucks obsessed friend or family member you may know! I am snagging one for my sister-in-law! 🙂

(Thanks, Carsten!)

Do you know if this offer is instead of the free coffee in January? (Last years deal)…the last few years they had 12 days of gift ideas bit I haven’t a heard anything yet? Thanks!!

    • Ellen Kathren

They are still going to offer the brewed coffee tumbler as well. It comes in early December.

so this is with any of the drinks pictured above I have never bought one and just don’t want to get it if you cant get it with a latte.. sorry if this question is dumb lol

    • Ali

It sounds like it is good for any latte, not just the few pictured in the advertising.

    • Evie

A latte is an espresso drink 🙂

  5. Xenia

Tumbler for 65? kinda pricey 😀 can get a decent espresso machine for 80 😀 btw its eSpresso, not eXpresso

    • Jen

Maybe they hit the wrong letter on the keyboard. Geeez. Unreal

      • Janet

u guys must’ve never had starbucks? Read the whole post.

        • Mourrene

You would think that with all of the great deals Collin lists for us that a single typo would be overlooked. Besides, she clearly says this deal is not for everyone….smh.

    • Katherine

Xenia. The idea behind the tumbler is you will receive 1 FREE eXpresso drink daily the month of January from Starbucks with the tumbler… as it was pointed out, this is a wonderful deal for those who love their Starbucks on a daily basis. 🙂

      • Suszy

I wish there was a like button. IMHO, Collin and her fabulous crew can misspell as many words as they may like – they’ve saved me literally thousands of dollars over the years! 😊

        • Xenia

easy, easy, tigers hahaha get an espresso machine for around 80 and get more that 30 espressos. S vs X is for one of the comments, not the post itself hhhhh

          • Katherine

but not the same as a Starbucks expresso 😉

            • Edie

Yeah, it would be better, because Starbucks taste like burnt garbage.

  6. Kimbra

I wish they offered this on more than just one type of drink.

  7. Jennifer

I wish I knew if this was valid at the grocery store kiosks or at Barnes and Noble. My hubby goes there almost daily during the week. Read the details but it doesn’t say.

    • Danielle

Probably not. A lot of those places sell starbucks drinks but don’t technically count as starbucks. I know Barnes and Noble doesn’t at least. When paying with a rewards card meant you got free soy milk, before they changed it, it was never free at those places.

  8. Julie

Two questions: Do you think I can use this at Target and does anyone know how long they do the holiday drinks? Thanks!

  9. Kristina

I just bought this for my MIL, she frequents Starbucks often. I used the $10 gift cards I purchased on Groupon a few weeks back (only paid $5 a piece for them). They let me use 3 gift cards purchased from 3 different groupon accounts during checkout. I was going to give these gift cards to my MIL for X-mas but instead she got lucky and gets this cup instead. I also used the 10% off code and put the reusable venti straws in my cart instead of the ornament. Total cost after the three $10 gift cards was just over $35.

    • Kristina

O, and I also went through ebates and will get an additional 7% cash back, I am all over this black friday shopping this morning.

  10. Mon

    Very expensive 🙁

  11. denice

Just a heads up, I received an email 50% off any latte today only. maybe some of you guys got it too.?

  12. Heather

Thank you! I ordered 2 🙂 This is a great deal and the perfect stocking stuffer for my hubby.

  13. orinto

I did this deal last year. Last year it was ONLY good for free regular coffee (not lattes), but this year the wording seems more vague. However I want to point out that if you are buying this because you want a nice coffee mug, the quality of these “special” tumblers is not very good. After using it for 1 month last year mine was completely unusable. They get cracks in the plastic around the screw cap and liquid seeps into the decorative space around the mug (which is paper). This causes mold to form inside the mug and I couldn’t use it afterwards 🙁

  14. Scarlett

Just so it’s clear, this is a GREAT deal for Starbucks lover. If you pay $4.50 a day for a Starbucks coffee, after 30 days using this mug it’s like getting 50% off! Steal

    • sm

What kind of idiot would buy Starbucks coffee all the time if they are here on this site all about saving money when the exact same drinks could be made at home for exponentially cheaper only a hypocrite would do that.

      • Mel

omg that is incredibly rude to use this kind of language and calling names. seriously, I tell my 3yo not to call people rude names, and here are adults who obviously never learned. everyone has their guilty pleasure. if I can save money in one area so that I can splurge a little in another area, then it’s worth it to me!

        • Blanca S

Exactly! I save in the areas I can so I can splurge in what I really love.

      • Mrs. Jones

Wow, that’s pretty rude SM! I coupon and save everywhere else so I don’t feel bad about my love of Starbucks’ specialty drinks! And thankfully, I save more than my Starbucks habit costs thanks to Hip2Save!

  15. Jessica

Wish that I had bought sooner when that 10% code was working.

  16. MindyK

I purchased mine at the store this morning. The barista confirmed that it is any espresso drink and then she mentioned that they really have no way of tracking. So, technically you can get a drink in one store in the morning and go back in the afternoon/evening to the same store as there is a shift change (or go to a different store). She was like – how would we know? And who would care? That makes it a GREAT deal considering it’s $4 per day for a speciality coffee beverage.

AND this makes it an even better deal for me as I get coffee in the morning and then I often grab one in the afternoon before carpool. The only downside would be remembering to keep the tumbler with you whenever you plan to get coffee!!! Sometimes, that can be a challenge for some of us!

And for the person who criticized those of us buying coffee at Starbucks but looking for deals on here – just b/c we choose to save money does not mean that we are unable to splurge in other areas. No matter how much money I make, I still want to save whenever I can – and this saves me at least 50% on coffee. So, it’s a good deal even though I could afford full price. Don’t judge!

    • Lisa Hembree Woodard

I’ve used mine twice a day every day so far! 🙂

  17. Mrs. Jones

So happy about this – I snagged a tumbler at Starbucks this afternoon, and I think it’s going in my stocking! Best stocking stuffer ever!

  18. j

Is this a one day only deal? I wanted to buy one online but since they are sold out I was thinking of just finding one in a Starbucks around town. Not sure if I need to race out to my local store before it closes?

  19. Ron Mendel

Sound’s like a great idea, until after about 10 straight days of drinking rich “hand crafted Espresso”, you will be sick of them!

  20. Lynn

Is this tumbler made of plastic completely or is the inside stainless steel?
Is the Black Friday sale over now or is it still $65 in stores?
Are the stores participating only corporate stores or Target and Safeways also?
Too many questions I know but any response will be helpful. Thanks.

    • Brenda

Yes, they are sold and available at Target. As of Nov.30, they are still $65.00

  21. Trish

When I bought one the store manager told me the one free a day was actually unlimited drinks as baristas will prepare a free beverage any time the cup is presented.
    For the serious coffee fan!

  22. Angela

Does anyone know if your able to earn reward stars on the daily drinks with this deal as well?

  23. Bob

In case anyone is wondering just left target with 2 of these cups for $10 on clearance there was still 5 left again how will they know?

    • Jess

What state? I’d love to get one!!

  24. Zoe

I stumbled across this site while searching for the details of this mug. I just saw the mug at starbucks and thought it was realy cool but pricey and well It might be cheaper to by a 80 expresso machine, my son who likes having unique things would probably find the cup much cooler. The way I see it. Is your buying a expresso gift card loaded with 75.00 and getting a free collectors cup. That sounds like a good deal to me.
To the Spelling /Grammar Patrole(s) you obviously lack common sense. You show all the traits of ignorance that comes from the lack of balancing your edgeukation (lol) with living in the real world.
Merry X-mas! Thank you Collin, Ive decided to go back and purchase
