I called and complained about this “sold online only” issue with the LEGO Forest Police Station. They are honoring the deal for online orders. Place the order, then call to have your order adjusted. If you are nervous about that, call first and they will give you a reference number to use when you call back.
My target said they had no idea how to do that and that target online is completely different then the store. Did you call the store directly?
Guest relations told me no
I was able to do this for the forest city set. I placed my order online and then called customer service. Was transferred to a different agent when I told them I was calling about cartwheel coupon. The representative then refunded me $25. No questions asked.

I did this deal this afternoon in Jacksonville FL! I seen that it said it was sold online only but decided to go and see if they sold it in store anyways and they had several.
This doesn’t surprise me at all. They’ve had all kinds of issues with Cartwheel–I’ve been following posts on the Help Center for Cartwheel for a couple of months and they’ve had previous issues with items showing up on Cartwheel but then showing up as an online only deal. As you’ve said, you can only use Cartwheel in-store. I love the selection of items at Target, but I’ve definitely not been impressed with the roll out of the Cartwheel program–too many issues.
Online it shows it for 89.99 not 69.99.
I’m thinking they got some online only items in store for Black Friday door buster specials. When I bought the Lego city forest police station earlier today the store told me they don’t normally carry that item and that’s why it was on an end cap and not with the regular Legos.
Meant to add… That’s probably why it’s showing online only and why they are offering up such a huge discount with the cartwheel.

In store is cheaper price than online just did the deal was expecting to find it for 84.99 but was suprised to find it so cheap
I was able to call guest relations and they honored the price with the cartwheel deal, but I could not use the shopkick coupon. Still pretty good!

The Lego forest police wasn’t there but I did get the other one today in ballwin Missouri. However I did get the last one.
They didn’t have any of the Lego sets that were on cartwheel in stock tonight when I went to my local target so I couldn’t try to use it. 🙁
My store (Topeka, Ks) had a few left. They were on an end cap with a few other sets. My 9 year old is very happy!
i just called 18004400680 which is guest relations and told them I wanted the forest police station they said there was no promo code they are telling people just to order it wait a half hour and call back and they will give you a credit for 25.00.
Target in Nampa. ID did not have either lego items that had the cart wheel offer.
I went to my local Target today at 4pm. Searched and found the Legos. I was so excited!! Got up front to pay and had issues with the cartwheel. Manager trainer said the coupon expired at 2am. Boo. I cancelled the transaction and pouted all the way back to my car.
just called target and they said they would honor the cart wheel deal online because they do not have them in stores – the price is higher – they gave me a case #, told me to order online and call them back with the case # and they would adjust the price.
What a pain! Wanted to get the Lego forest police set. Saw the other comments here and decided to try calling customer service. Was told to place the order online and then call back for a credit. When I called back, the rep apparently thought I said a 15% discount (instead of 50). Took forever to get it resolved. Still not sure that he did it right. I think I got the second part of the credit in a gift card instead of a refund. Annoying but it will get used no problem.
I found this at my target on an end cap near the sporting goods!!!! I could not find the forest police set though. I wish I knew about the shop kick $5/$25 🙁 but I was glad to find it. My store is in Kapolei, Hawaii.
