As I mentioned yesterday morning, Coupons.com released a high-value coupon valid for $5/1 Epic DVD or Blu-ray. If you’re looking to snag this movie at an amazing price, check out how you can snag a *HOT* deal at Target after Price Match, coupon and Mail-in Rebate.

As I’ve mentioned before, Target will price match an item on Amazon.com – you’ll just need to show the Amazon.com price on your mobile device or bring in a printed page showing the current price. Before you head out, be sure to print the Holiday Price Matching Policy and keep it with you when shopping. Even better, you can use manufacturer’s coupons in addition to getting the price match.
$5.00 off Epic on DVD or Blu-ray
Epic Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy $9.96 (after you price-match to Amazon.com’s online price!)
Use the $5/1 coupon found here
Final Cost $4.96! AWESOME!

Epic on DVD $7.48 (after you price-match to Amazon.com’s online price!)
Use the $5/1 coupon found here
Final Cost $2.48!

NOTE: Amazon.com prices can change at anytime so I encourage you to head to Target sooner than later to ensure you snag these *HOT* prices!

And, these deals get even sweeter as there is a $3 mail-in rebate found here valid for purchases made through December 31st. Just be sure to hang on to the Proof of Purchase tab from the DVD or Blu-ray and your original sales receipt. This rebate will make the DVD purchase essentially FREE and the Blu-ray purchase under 2 bucks!

I went and did this deal at my local Target. I went in with a printout of their price match policy, a printout of the price on amazon and a printout of the price on Walmart if they tried to give me the Prime escuse. They tried to shoot me down with every escuse mentioned here….price match only through certain date, can’t match prime, can’t use a coupon. I was anticipating those issues so I had high lighted the revelant sections of the price match policy before going in. Their really isn’t much they could say when I answered each if their objections by showing them the right answer printed out from their own website. You may very well have issues when doing this deal, the key is to anticipate them and calmly work though them as quickly as possible. Me and the cashier worked out our issues in less than 5 minutes 🙂

Has anyone tried to use the coupons for the bluray if you previously purchased it at walmart ?

    • Stephany Nalley

In other words trying to use your receipt to show proof of purchase and have them take the coupons ?

    • Michelle735

My Walmart only gives you 24 hours from the time of purchase to bring back the receipt and the coupon.

I made it to target today!! I was able to get both for $3.69 with no problems. In addition to everything else, I had a $5 gift card from a previous coupon venture. I sent off the rebate right away.

I was able to get one today at Target with no problems at all. Thank you Collin!

the croods on amazon now says $19.99 what is going on?

When I went to target today they said that I could not get the Amazon price because Amazon was calling it their cyber Monday extended deal. And target says that they will not price match cyber Monday.

I was able to do both Epic & The Croods at my Target. I went to the Customer Service desk. I had print outs of both movies from Amazon.com, a copy of their price match policy, and $5 off coupons printed for each movie. I noticed the shelf price for each movie was $17.99. She checked my print out & was shocked that the price for each movie on Amazon.com was $7.48 ea but did adjust the price and then rang up each $5 off coupon… and I used a $5 Target GC so out of pocked was a whopping $1.01. Christmas is tight this year so I really appreciate these awesome bargains.

Thank you for including the price match policy in this post. My Target said at first it was either price Match OR use the coupon. After showing the manager the corporate site with policy he said I was right. Took a little extra time but I got a great deal!

I went to Target this evening armed with the coupons, one for myself and one for my friend who wanted the movie. I quickly scooped up two copies and headed to the customer service desk, where I was greeted by a not so friendly employee. She was very rude, and immediately stated to me the coupon was one per customer (luckily, my partner was in the car and was able to come in and help with the second purchase). She also shot me down saying that I had picked up the wrong copy (the deluxe blu ray vs the regular blu ray)…. In my nervousness of hoping they’d be available scooped up the deluxe by mistake. I then ran back to the electronics section and found the only two regular blu ray copies that were left on the shelf. For the two transactions, I paid $5.56 each = $11.12. That’s not even counting the rebate for $3.00 off per Blu Ray.

My target said it was a cyber deal price so they wouldn’t price match it! Is that true??

Walmart (at least that one I shop at) has a special section of movies that were discounted for Black Friday. I purchased the Epic Blu-Ray/DVD combo in that section today for $9.96 and used the $5 coupon making it $4.96 out of pocket ($1.96 after rebate). No price matching, no hassles whether coupon was acceptable. I am usually prepared for some issue at Walmart with couponing but this was quick and painless. I don’t know how long that section will be there but it is worth a shot to check it out.

Here, here! After the headache at Target yesterday where they refused to honor their price matching policy, I just did this deal at Walmart, too. In my store, the Epic DVD was not in a special discounted section and the tag showed $17.96. However, I’d read here about some people still finding it for $9.96 from Black Friday, so scanned it at Price Check and it was, indeed, $9.96. I debated whether or not to get the DVD 2-pack Epic and Rio for $14.96, but I wasn’t sure the $5 MQ and/or the rebate would work when you buy a 2-pack. Does anyone know? Also, does anyone know if you can use a coupon when you do the free ship-to-store option at Walmart? I didn’t realize until I went in today to pick up my copy of Turbo that I actually had to sign the credit card slip in the store–I guess they don’t actually charge it to your card until you pick it up.

My Target had an ipad mini @ the register. This morning, amazon had the movie for $9.99, but when I got to the store, the price had changed to $13.99. Even though I had the print out for $9.99, I had to choose the combo for $13.99 or dvd only for $11.99. The $5 off coupon was still honored.

  13. Sara Williams

Okay this was the coolest deal! Local target in montana accepted amazon price comparison with no prob. Had additional shop kick coupon for $2.00. Got the movie, for $0.48! Now, do I spend a stamp for mail in rebate? Nah, I’m a happy camper! Thank you so much!

  14. Jojo

Fr the mail in rebate does anyone know if it has to be the original DVD tab? I’m planning on giving some as gifts… N if I have to open the DVD and cut out the barcode on it for the rebate….it’s kind off a mess lolz. I know it says the original sales recipet.

I just got a post card yesterday saying :

Dear Consumer – Thank you for participating in this offer. Unfortunately we could not honor your request due to the following reason: The sales receipt submitted did not demonstrate purchase of the product required for the rebate.

Are they serious?? Did anyone else get a post card like this?

Collin – do you think the coupon had something to do with it? I tried clicking on your link that has the rebate form, but its no longer available. I wanted to read the fine print to see if there were any restrictions.

    • Erin

I didn’t get the postcard but also didn’t get my rebate check. The rebate form says you will receive it within 6-8 weeks and it has been longer than that. There is also no contact info on the rebate form so I can’t contact them to ask where it is.

      • Stephanie

I just got my check in the mail today. However, it came ripped and damaged in a USPS bag- the routing numbers are not in tact, nor is the date, signature, or payable amount. I sent an email to the company so we’ll see if they’re willing to reissue it.

        • sydney557

Haven’t received anything yet. Stephanie, what date did you submit your rebate? Did anyone find contact information for this?

          • Stephanie

I am not sure of the date I submitted the rebate, but I know it was within a week of this deal being posted. They replied earlier this week stating they will be reissuing the check and I should receive it in 1-2 weeks. It takes about a week to get a response via the company contact on their website.

      • Terry

Just got my $3 check in the mail today! I submitted the rebate about 12/18.
