won’t be doing this one as it’s not very good.

I was just wondering how these were. printed the last coupons but didn’t get any. Thanks for the info.

    • Elaine

I agree that they aren’t very good.

The Tai Pei is good, the Asian Garden—not so much. We really like the Tai Pei that we have had, but none of our family really like the Asian Garden.

Toxic. Real asian food isn’t Taipei or PF Chang. If you don’t see Asians eating it then something not right.

    • leslie

You’re right. Taipei and PF Chang isn’t REAL Asian. My husband and long time partner of the last decade is. He’s as Asian as the Filipino city on his birth certificate. That said, if you like it and enjoy eating it, who cares? I add soy sauce to mine – kikkoman to be exact. Not everyone has the ability to cook these foods and some people just want something quick to grab, which is exactly why I eat these. FWIW, my very Asian MIL makes a soup out of the Ling Ling dumplings. Does that make it real now? Because an Asian is eating it?

“If you don’t see Asians eating it then something not right”

Really? How ignorant are we gonna be? How would I know what “Asians” eat; everyone is different. Why stereotype??

Actually, I thought they were good especially the chow mein.

    • Paul

I agree. The Chow Mein is my favorite variety, especially since i’m not big on rice. Most of the varieties, at my local Walmart, have rice. There’s also the garlic chicken noodle variety. But, I found that one kind of bland. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find the chow mein variety, for several weeks.

By the way, these are now $2.00, at my 2 nearest Walmart locations.

I thought they were pretty good. I would like to try the Asian Garden varieties if they are available at my store. Each box states it’s a serving…I was able to make two meals out of one box by adding in extra veggies to the rice varieties. That also halved the calories and sodium intake (which are pretty high for one serving).

  5. Jennifer

I love these! There’s too much in one box for a normal lunch, but I think they’re really good!

  6. Robbie

These are so good but have soooo much sodium! If I’m not mistaken the pepper beef has at least a thousand mg of sodium 🙁

  7. Adrienne J

I like it. The Asian Garden isn’t the greatest but it is something quick to grab. The egg rolls and the regular Tai Pei ones are good! I never would’ve thought that it would be as good as authentic freshly made Chinese food. I mean it is in the frozen food section?!?

My teenage son likes the Chicken Fried Rice by Tai Pei and my husband likes the Garlic Shrimp. It makes for an easy night for me when they eat this! I haven’t seen the Asian Garden ones in the stores.

No processed foods are healthy. If you aren’t making the meals yourself from simple ingredients such as meat and veggies and grains, you will be getting a lot of junk added to your food. Not to mention that meat in the USA is contaminated with lots of antibiotics unless you buy organic. Chicken usually has salt water added to it, I’ve seen as much as 18% added salt water. There is a food movement called eating clean because of all the garbage and not safe ingredients found in food these days.
