Its always bugged me that in “families” like this the father-type-figure is 100% of the time and always taller then the mother-figure. It never fails. In fact, I can’t recall ever even seeing them as the same height… let alone her taller. What’s that tell our tall beautiful women out there? “You’re weird and not normal if you’re taller then your man”?? I dont like it and I know I’m alone in my feelings because Im probably the only one who cares!

    • Tilly

I meant to say “our tall beautiful females”.

      • Melanie

        Why females, rather than women?

    • Narciss

Interesting. What do you think about most men having much shorter hair than women?

      • Tilly

Narcissist, I’ll start by replying to your silly comment & then offer my own question to you. 7 of the 11 main women in my life have shaved around the sides, spikey on top, short hair cuts & every NFL football player I look at has long flowing locks down the middle of their backs… & w/both scenarios no one bats an eye. So I guess my question to you is: why is it ok for certain groups to stand up for their equality, but others? Why must women like Alyssa be made to belive that their match ‘isn’t typical’? Everyone fights so hard for their own equality : race equality, job equality, gender equality, the list goes on for days… Why must I be scoffed at for my dreams that one day taller women /shorter men couples can walk hand in hand with out being stared at, pointed at, giggled at, etc? Thanks for trolling, have a great day! 😀

But there is 72 different figurines, so there’s hundreds of thousands of combinations. Kids can make families with taller mothers, two mothers or fathers, etc. Besides, in one of the amazon pictures, the “parents” are the same size.

    • Alyssa

I’m about 4 inches taller than my boyfriend. Although it’s not the typical match, I don’t let it bother me. Society can think what they want but there’s nothing wrong with the woman being taller!

      • Sara

I don’t think it matters with the figurines, some are blue and some are red, I am also 4 inches taller than my husband and I love wearing 5 inch heels on top of that lol, I gave up on just flats and started to wear the heels and he doesn’t care :), but I do think it is more normal, in context taller men than women, it’s like longer big toe than second big toe lol

Don’t sweat the small stuff…..life’s too short!

      • jellybean

agreed. There are more important things in life! Even if the figures are the same size…. is that going to make a huge difference in the life of a “tall beautiful woman?”

      • Jeffrey

Agree! We all have worries in this world. Don’t let this be one of them.

    • Rebe

Tilly, you could be the purple lady and the father could be the blue man in the picture. Are we also going to dissect the fact that women also wears pants and men in some cultures also wear skirts? In the broad scheme of things, this is not something I would worry about. Just my 2 cents.

I’m 5’4 and my husband is 5’2. You wouldn’t believe the hideous comments I’ve gotten. Like it really matters. I was actually told by a “friend” with a 6’4 husband that after our double date her husband was too uncomfortable with the height difference and she didn’t think he would want to get together again. I am not kidding. Of course, I’ll never tell that story to my sweet husband.

    • Em

Funny, I’ve never thought about that… And I have an undergrad degree in Sociology and a shorter husband! I clearly fail.

      • Em

Actually, now that I am thinking about it- on average males are taller than females…they just can’t accommodate everyone in these kinds of toys.

  2. woohoo

These are way too cute. .. I’ll have to try to remember that this is available sometime later .. can’t do it now. .. but it would definitely benefit my baby!

  3. Michelle

Ah, these are great! Really wish I had the money to buy these for my little man. Hopefully the price won’t change too much after Christmas.

    • Janie

I agree all the Christmas shopping has left us meeting our budget for the month already! I hope they are this price in January, but knowing Amazon they will change any second.

  4. Jen

Thank you, my daughter loves little figured like this perfect to help learn colors and counting!

  5. angela

Price has gone up to $17.26 now

  6. Lisa G.

    Bummer! Price already went up.

  7. Anne

Anyone actually buy these? One (out of only 10 total ) of the Amazon reviews says they don’t stand up (like it looks like in the picture). Figures that stand up would be helpful….
