Wow! If you own a PlayStation and have old video games and/or accessories just sitting around collecting dust, check out this promotion! Through January 31st, head on over to Amazon where they are offering up a $20 Bonus Credit to use toward PlayStation digital content on Amazon when you trade in $20 worth of video games, consoles, and/or accessories AND that’s in addition to the trade-in value of the items! Pretty sweet! 😀

How to redeem this offer:

1. Search for your qualifying trade-in items using the search box found here
2. Send in your item for processing following the instructions provided (read more below)
3. Wait for your item to be received and graded
4. When your trade-in is accepted, they will deposit an Amazon Gift Card directly to your account in the amount of the trade-in value. If the trade-in value is at least $20, an additional $20 bonus credit toward PlayStation digital content will be applied to your account

Note that when trading in, you’ll first be prompted to select the condition of the item (choose from Like New, Good and Acceptable). If you find the trade-in value to be worth it, you’ll then be prompted to choose the shipping method and return address. Just print the shipping label, affix it to your box and then bring the box to your local UPS store or USPS drop off location (and Amazon.com pays for all the costs!). Be sure to ship your items within 7 calendar days of submitting the trade-in.

Not that great of a deal because they offer so little for trade ins.. $1.38 for a controller.. Lame

I tried trading in some CD’s last year. They rejected most and the ones they returned were in busted jewel cases and two CD’s were broken. I submitted over $50 in CD’s and got credit for $15 – I won’t do another Amazon trade-in it’s a rip off and they give you nothing. You’re better off selling stuff on ebay.

Darn! 🙁 Sorry to hear that.

Sorry to hear others have had negative experiences, but I have done amazon’s trade in program multiple times with 100% awesome results. I’ve now done 3 iPhones, DVDs, and books and have always received the maximum trade in amount that I thought they were worth.

Do you receive a $20 credit to use towards anything on amazon , like a gift card, or is it strictly for use on PS stuff- anyone know??

Collin’s post says it’s $20 to use toward play station digital content.
