No, it only said “Congrats” etc. They won’t be applied you your account until Jan. 12th. 🙂

Scratch that…just got KMart to work. Closed everything and went back in thru Colin’s links again and worked fine this time. Also found out I had 5000 surprise points good thru next week. 🙂

I figured it out….you might have to do some clicking…you have to find your “local” ad and that is where you can find it!
I didn’t see it on either page and I changed the ad to my zip code and clicked through about 3x each 🙁

It sounds to me its selected zip codes since it takes you to the local add. Mine is 01075 and is not working 🙁

I couldnt get them to work for me. I am signed at SYWR, I signed at sears.com and kmart.com too just in case, I disabled cookies…and the link to sears takes me to a different page with no banner and the link to kmart takes me to the correct banner but when I click it tries to redirectly to sears and then nothing, just a white screen… 🙁
Got it, took me so logging out and back in and changing zip codes. All this for a WHOLE $1! 😉

I had the issue on my iphone. I signed in on the laptop and saw the banner immediately.
I got both but I don’t see where it was added to my account 🙁 🙁
It probably wont show til the 12th thats when it states its available.
The Sears link leads me to a page with no banner. 🙁 Help!
hmmm.. clicked the banner on both pages, got a popup that said to link your account, which I did, then it circled back to the ad???

Got it to work! Logged out of SYW, then clicked the Sears link. Clicked the New Years banner, logged in from there. It congratulated me. Logged out of SYW, then clicked the Kmart link. Signed in from the NW banner and got the other 500 pts.
It states:

Doesn’t award me any extra points.
Same happened. Make sure you are logged into your account and try again.
it gave me the same message. So I logged out of SYW then clicked on the Sears link. got a different pop up to sign up, but clicked on the already a member link. Logged in and got the Congrats message. Logged out of SYW, then clicked the KMart link. Signed in and got the congrats message.

I got the same message on both sites, but went ahead and clicked to link my account. Afterwards I when back to the Shop your way site. At the top it shows my regular balance of points. But I clicked on the “rewards points” icon and when it opened, it showed that I had 10,000 or $10 in surprise points.
sears didn’t work for my but kmart did. go figure.
I got the points from Kmart no problem but when I try Sears it asks me to “Verify my SYWR card number” And the when I do that and click on the banner, it does the same thing all over??
Any ideas?

Thank you! I was having problems with claiming the sears points at first, so I cleaned my cookies and then it worked 🙂
This is how you can check the status of your points to see if you got them or not.
Do as Collin says, then go to your ShopYourWay account, click on the upper right corner on REWARD POINTS, a drop down window will pop up where you can see your CURRENT points if you had any, on the very bottom of the popped window click on View Your Account History, you must be able to see the following TWICE: “January 9, 2014 – 500 Bonus Points. Full transaction details. Stocking Stuffer Surprise points liquidity offer”.
HEADS UP – If you’re having trouble getting them, check the location of “your store”.
Kmart was working and Sears was not, then I noticed that Sears had selected my location as the nearest store which is hardware only. I switched it to the full department store in the mall 10 miles away and refreshed the page. That worked!
Oh, at it didn’t work in Firefox. IE only for me.

Can you decide which points you redeem? I have 10,000 currently with another 3000 surprise ones and then this 1000, I’d like to use the 4000 before redeeming the 10,000 since they expire later, but I’m kind of curious if anyone has had experience with this?
I have never ever been able to sign into my Kmart or Sears ago. I have tried three different browsers, and I even called customer service. It just makes me log in over and over again. Does anyone else have this issue?
