Make sure not to dump the powder directly on the clothing. It will leave a white stain on dark colored clothing. The detergent seems to clean fine, but just make sure you mix it with water before adding clothes.
We have used one box since it was on sale over a year ago. That is with a family of 7. It works great, but make sure like said above to put it in the water, not directly on the cloths. I just start my water, as I make sure nothing is in pockets and undo the socks. By that time the water has desolved the power and it cleans great. I have just about used my box, so I will be getting another. I also use only about 2/3 of what they recommend for a load, so it is even less than .05 cents a load.
Has anyone used this for a he front loader machines. I normally don’t use powder detergents so just curious thanks.
Is this a good price? I normally use sales, coupons, and extra bucks to buy detergent. So OOP this seems a little high. How big is this and how long would it last? I’d use it only on towels and sheets.
It works but it doesn’t smell nice. I use scent boosters sometimes to get that super fresh smell (like tide).

Theresa, how many loads a day do you do? I’m just trying to get an idea. Everyone I talk to goes thru detergent slower than me – I do at least 2 loads a day for a family of 4. I’d love to hear if everyone else does it once a week to conserve or daily like I do. ?

Wow your doing a lot of laundry. Ive always averaged a load a week per person in our house. When we had 4 kids and my sister here 7 people we did 7 to 8 loads a week. We reuse bath towels among other things to reduce laundry needs.
As everyone says this is good basic soap that’s not great smell. I never used on towels or bedding.
I average 2 loads a day for our family of 4 so you’re not alone.
We are a family of 3 and depending on my schedule, I’ll do a load a day to keep it from piling up on me or sometimes I’ll wait until the end of the week and end up doing at least 3-4 loads. It depends on what works for you. When we have our next child, I could easily see myself doing two loads a day.

I have used this during the past year. Got two on a good deal like this one and cannot complain. Have about half a box left, but I used the recommended amount per load for a family of 5. It cleans fine and the powder is not an issue in my he machine, I put it in the same dispenser used for liquids. I have to agree with a previous post….I do miss the “good” smelling soaps!

I bought this last year when it was on sale and it works great. EXCEPT if you have sensitive skin it will bother you. My husband broke out in a bad rash when we started using this detergent. If you don’t have sensitive skin you will be fine. If you do, then watch out for this stuff!
I don’t have extremely sensitive skin but I broke out in a HORRIBLE rash on my neck from this. My in-laws use it and washed sheets with it.

Don’t do it! I got this “deal” last year. Sure, I still have some. I only use it every once in awhile because I felt like it was making my clothes hard. It dies work in a front load if you dissolve for cold washes. It almost smells chemically to me. I prefer to use other nicer smelling brands that leave my clothes feeling softer. I will hopefully use up this one day since I spent money on it.
