Wow, I won’t be 50 until the 13th. LOL. This is a great idea EXCEPT for the “body composition”. I don’t believe in it at all. You’ll never hear them tell you you’re too think but ALWAYS tell you you need to lose a few pounds or you’re obese and you aren’t/don’t.

I wouldn’t even take a free AARP membership. This organization is doing everything they can to bankrupt the young people of this country.

Please John…is there something I should know? Do tell.

    • louise

Me either….you couldn’t even pay me to join AARP…..they are destroying this country

    • karen

that is a opinion not truth

    • Q

      Is everything about you?

I’d like a voucher for AMAC (asso. of mature Americans?) or 60-plus. I don’t feel comfortable with aarp, either.

  4. brandice

Ok I’m lost how are they destroying the country

    • Christine H

I am too Brandice but I can’t get a straight answer.

Okay. Well if you did a little research on thousands of others, you’d come to the same conclusion…don’t buy ANYTHING from ANY company.

That’s what you base it on. One reporter’s opinions from 9 years ago!
A reporter who does not report facts but opinions to sell newspapers,
      I guess thet sold you

Well I will take the free extension of my membership which I didn’t pay for to begin with because every month that I make one $25 transaction at Walgreen’s with my linked AARP card, they give me 5,000 BRP so over the year that is netting me 60,000 BRP and depending on how I use them, that is $60 – $70+ in merchandise. Thank you Walgreen’s I say, but yes that is just my opinion.

So if I do this I can extend my AARP? Sweet! I agree I would not support them with my $ but when they give me free membership I will take it cause it saves me $ on hotels in addition to Walgreens.

Are we going to start commenting on all groups? Let’s talk about the ‘food’ that big business tells us we need (and try to give coupons away promoting the good/bad product). Maybe this site needs a ‘discussion’ area. Because opinions are like (fill in the blanks).

    ***ALERT***
My father in law took his voucher to Walgreens and had the health screen. The pharmacist told him he would receive his AARP card in the mail.

Today, he received a bill for the AARP membership. Once it’s paid, he will receive a card according to what was sent in the mail.

I’m fuming mad. This is a bait and switch! It’s a company preying on senior citizens. My husband will be calling AARP tomorrow during business hours regarding this.

My husband and I both had the tests. We each had a voucher. The pharmacist at Walgreen’s had not heard of it and really wasn’t sure what he was doing. We DID NOT receive any type of form for extending our AARP membership when we were finished. I called AARP, talked to a breathing person after punching many menu buttons and she had not heard of it. She transferred me to a supervisor who had not heard of it and said they would get back to me in 5 days. Needless to say, I have heard nothing. There is NO coordination between Walgreen’s and AARP. I am disappointed. If we get a bill, I am not paying it.

    • Barbara

What did you find out, if anything? They seem to be so elusive.
