Amazon: *HOT* $20 LeapFrog App Center Download Card Only $8.99
UPDATE: Through 1/23, at the LeapFrog App Center, you can use the code SHINE at checkout to save $5 off your $20 or more purchase of apps or cartridge games. (Thanks, Rachel!)
Wow! I recently told you here about how you could snag a $20 LeapFrog App Center Download Card (works with all LeapPad Tablets, LeapsterGS, Leapster Explorer and LeapReader) for $12.99! Well, this deal has gotten even sweeter as you can now head on over to Amazon and use the code LEAPFROG4 to save an additional $4, making the final price only $8.99! Act fast as I highly doubt this will last long at such a low price.
Plus, this item ships FREE with Super Saver Shipping on a $35+ purchase OR snag FREE 2-day shipping (no minimum) with Amazon Prime (check out this post for more information on how to score a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime).
(Thanks, Melissa, Anne, and Saving with Vetta!)
Thanks. Leapfrog often offers various deals on their apps on the website so it’s nice to wait those out and apply the download card value for extra savings. It seems like the max you can purchase is 3. I ordered 2 the other day when you posted the $12.99 deal so it only let me get 1 more today with the code. Still that is awesome and now I will have $60 worth of downloads for only $35 out of pocket 🙂
I ordered one the other day and two when I saw it posted with this code. I went on to Leapfrog and they had a coupon code for $5 off $20 or more, so I was able to get $25 in games for $12.99. Hopefully they still have that code (SHINE I believe) when I go on to use the cards I got for $8.99!! 🙂
On the leapfrog app website you can also use code SHINE to score $5 off of a $20 app purchase… So you’ll actually get $25 worth of apps for $8.99! Sweet 😉
Awesome! Thanks for the extra promo code Rachel : )
You’re welcome 🙂
yay, thanks! it’ll help us a lot, getting ready for a cross country move with the military
As a mother of a delayed reader, we are always looking for a deal on Leap pad/Leap frog items. Thank you so much for this HOT deal; I got three!
perfect! I was about to order the other day and then forgot to finishing filling my cart. so glad I waited 🙂
There seems to be a limit of 3. I placed 3 separate orders using the code.
It will only give me 1 at $8.99
You have to do separate transactions to get the individual promo off each. At least that’s what I did
Thanks, got three for my cousins triplets. 🙂
When do you add the code?
You add it on the final checkout screen– once you have added it to your cart, entered your password and are on the last step. There should be a box for a “Promotional Code”
It also works on cartridges! I just ordered the Tinkerbell ebook for $5.99
Thanks!
tried it on the spongebob game and it wouldnt apply so it may be select cartridges
wOW!! What a great price!
For those who didn’t know, each purchase on the app store can be downloaded to 3 LeapFrog devices, as long as they are all registered to the same Parent Account. I have three kids who each have a LeapPad so this is perfect for me! Each game I buy goes to all three kids. Plus, you don’t have to keep up with the cartridge games or listen to the kids fight over what game they want to play!
THANK YOU for that info. I was wondering about that. We have two boys and they both got a LeapPad for Christmas.
Can someone pls tell me how this card works? I purchased leappad 2 over thanksgiving
This deal sounds good so i purchased amazon card but how does this card work? How do u get leapfrog app n buy $25 worth apps? I m new mom with this type of toys. Please help
Once you receive the card, it will have a activation number on it. You input this number under your account and the frog out Center. It will be the same place you went to set up the leapfrog. You can then shop for their online at books or videos and when you check out it will automatically apply it like a gift card….can only be used in the leapfrog app center not to buy cartridges.
Does anyone know if I can get a price adjustment?
Yes you can. I just contacted Amazon because I bought it the other day for $12.99. They adjusted it today without any issues.
I just did. They said the sale was done without the promo code but as a one time exception, they would do it. 🙂
I emailed them for a price adjustment, they said this promo code doesn’t apply to these. I went in to do another transaction took a picture on my phone and emailed them back, they then refunded the $4
I just called Amazon and got a $4 refund for yesterday’s order of LeapFrog Card!
So they did do a price adjustment?
It won’t let me do separate transactions. Did one, closed everything out and tried to do another and it says max limit reached? How did you guys get 3?
I can’t get the code to apply. :/
I had to purchase each card separately, limit is 3 cards.
They must have caught on? I completely logged out and back in, tried to order my 2nd card and it says order limit reached and takes me to 0. Bummer.
Just got two, it’s still working!!!
I called amazon.com help desk just now and they are crediting me $4. it was a 12 minute call total.
Thanks Collin!
Its up to 12.99 now! 🙁
You got to add the code for it to go down to 8.99!
Thank you!!!!!
Is there a link for promo on amazon? They will not adjust for me without it.
If your order hasn’t shipped you can cancel it and place a new order with the promo code.
I can’t get the code to work either!!
thank you. this is an awesome deal
My order just took off $2.99. Crazy!!
I was able to do 3 separate transactions at $8.99 each. What a deal! Thanks hip2save:)
I don’t get it…why was this deal crossed out? It worked for me again just now 9:10pm Pacific standard time. That’s also my second order that I placed for the day paying $8.99 each time.
Whoops…sorry about that! Just fixed…
4.99 shipping?? Shipped from iSold It az0170? Is this the right one?
No more. Not working.
I saw the other ladies saying they were able to get a refund from when they bought it for $12.99 so I figured I’d give it a shot. I did an online chat with Amazon and it took less than a minute for them to credit my account the $4. I can’t say enough good things about Amazon. 🙂
