I did the paper deal last week which was awesome BUT then I went through my papers and there was a 25% off q in the Staples ad. Could I have used this as well????

    • elise

No, that coupon specifically said that it couldn’t be used on cases of reams of paper.

      • Jenn

You are so right! Just read it myself. How did I miss that? Hahaha! Thanks for replying!

  2. Sarah

Jenn, the details report the 1st coupon is applied as the only one.

    • Jenn

Thanks for your reply! Is it bc I can only use one store q so the rebate and $4 off was considered one therefore I could not use the 25%?

      • Jenn

I understand now ladies! Thanks! A lot of stress in my life over here and my brain feels overloaded! 🙂

I’ve never done a rebate at Staples. How long does it take to get it? Also, is it actual cash back or do they give you a GC for Staples?

    • elise

      Get a $21 Visa (R) Prepaid Card

    • Jenn

Usually 4 weeks! They are pretty quick!

  4. Christa

If I did this last week, can I do it again this week or is this just a holdover of the same deal?

    • Mo

you can do it this week

    • elise

It says “Purchase a Staples 8.5 x 11 Inch Copy Paper 5 Ream Case (SKU 990176) at Staples stores between 01/19/14 and 01/25/14, then submit online or mail it in to receive a Visa Prepaid card. Limit 2 rebates per name/address/household.” To me, since the dates are different, I think it’s a different offer, but this was my 1st time buying it last week, so I can’t be sure.

  5. Joe

If I use my quarterly rewards toward this will it print out the rebate offer? Thanks

    • chamSave

To the best of my knowledge it will be honored but will be less than $21. Staples issue the rebate only for the amount you actually paid($21 – rewardsYouSpent).

    • Katherine

I often use my rewards to buy rebate things. You will still get the whole rebate amount which means you can roll rewards over into cash or Visa cards. You don’t ever want to use rewards on a reward earning deal though because rewards won’t roll over. You will get the discount for the rewards you are cashing in, but won’t earn the new rewards. HTH

      • elisr

thxs! I was wondering if i used my rewards if i would get full rebate.

  6. Rose

Just checked the rebate numbers and last week is different than this week! Yay! More free paper! Totally worth it if you can do these type of offers.

  7. Julee

I have a question. I’m in need of paper and I am very new to this. If the limit is two, and I go buy 2 pack. Do I use 1 coupon for the 2 pack? And is my OOP be $50+tax? and then submit if for my rebate? Someone help!

    • chamSave

Usually you only need 1coupon and cashier will scan it twice for you and your total will be 42+tax

    • Wren

Yes, what ChamSave said 🙂 the cashier just scanned one coupon twice for me in the same transaction. And it’s not technically a ‘2 pack’ but it’s two separate 5 packs. Total is $42.

  8. Adrienne

Do they still match competitor coupons? I have $15/75 from off depot.

    • Sam

Yep. They sure do take those.

    • sandy

My Staples has told me that they no longer take competitor coupons. I’m sure as usual every store does what they want so hopefully your store will!

  9. ang

    cant find the rebate?

    • Katherine

These rebates are different from others. The rebate will print on your receipt and you can turn it in online with the info from your receipt. There is no other form. They really are super simple. My favorite rebate system ever!

  10. Jennifer

This seems a bit silly, but does anyone else have problems with the Staples coupons printing out huge and partially cut off? I have been trying to figure out how to correct the problem to no avail so far.

    • bargainhunter

Happens randomly and have always attributed the problem to an older print driver issue. I use print preview when printing the Staples coupons. Simply canceling and printing again usually resolves the issue for me.

      • Rachael

HTH, you don’t have to print Staples coupons if you have a smart phone. Simply read them the coupon code off your phone and its done!

  11. valerie

so we can’t use the 15% off entire store purchase on the paper then?

    • bargainhunter

No, each item purchased can only be discounted by one coupon.

  12. Paris L

I am new to the staples rebates, if I buy two ream cases will I be able to get the rebate for both cases or only one case? Should it be done in separate transactions to get rebate for both?

    • sandy

You can buy 2 reams together and you will get the 2 Visa gift cards. No need to do the transaction separately.
