I had a HORRIBLE experience today at one of my Walgreens. We have 3 and was wanting the Dial hand soap but were sold out at 2, found some at one of the stores I usually do not shop at and was excited but when I went to check out the cashier said they started a new coupon policy and I can only use 2 of the same like coupon, meaning I could only use 2 of the $1/2 Dial hand soaps. She said she would be back to make sure that was right and left me standing there for over 15 minutes and finally came back and started changing the price of the soaps from free to $1.99. I asked what she was doing and she said she could only give me the discount on 2 of the soaps instead of asking me if I wanted to start over again and just use 2 coupons. I told her to forget the whole thing, I did not want any of the stuff I was going to buy anymore and asked for corporate number because I had never had a problem using more than 2 like coupons at the other stores and she said she did not know corporate number but the manager would. So I waited for the manager to come over to void the transaction and asked him for the number and he said he did not know the number, to go to Walgreens.com. The MANAGER did not know corporate number? WHAT! Anyway, I called my son from my car in the parking lot to go online and get me corporate number and called them and made a complaint. I will not be going to that store again and if all stores are starting this new policy I will drop Walgreens all together. Sad, because I have shopped there for over 4 years now.

    • Barb

That totally sucks! I would have blown a fuse. I would call corporate more than once.

      • paula

Yes Barb, it did, I REALLY had a hard time holding my composure but had to remember ignorance is getting more and more common and it is not worth it:) The lady I talked to at corporate was really nice and said someone will call me within 2 days but if not I will be calling them back. I just hope this new coupon policy is isolated to just this store.

  14. Betsy

I think I will loosen some of my husband’s tight nuts tonight! Thanks for the idea! 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😉

  15. Jenni

Thanks Colin!! I needed a good laugh!!

  16. Edy

I never shop walgreens there terrible even for 1 item love cvs and I’m glad have never encounter rude cashiers yet. My friends went to a store and they said that a cashier that wasn’t even cashing them out “will roll her eyes and would say omg omg and after they were walking out she cashier called the a bad name” I wish it would had been me because I would had made a big deal to manager. It happen with a customer she was behind saying on phone to her husband bad things like this cuponer doesn’t have $ and this and that probably thought. I didn’t understand I did said excuse me that I didn’t appreciate her saying that – that what I do is saving $ and my kids had more respect for others, since they were at most her age

  17. Edy

Love the comments ! And you all sense of humor

  18. Lena

Has anyone ever seen any good deals on that pre-seed stuff? My husband and I want to have a second child and that stuff is crazy expensive!!!

    • Barb

Lena, I tried the pre-seed stuff and it is very expensive. Have you googled coconut oil? I’m not sure, but It might be a solution for you. I didn’t use k-y either because I had a hard time getting pregnant too, I know how you feel. One tip for you is tune into your body and recognize your fertile (ovuation) days and use pillows to prop you up after. Also, morning time before you get out of bed – when your body is a warm temperature is the best time, worked for me 3 times, I read it in Taking Charge of Your Fertility, good luck and have fun!!!!

      • Rachel

Have you checked prices on early-pregnancy-tests.com? Also lots of great info on fertility friend.com.

  19. Tyler

This post of alternative uses never gets old. Ever.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😀

  20. mamacita

Remove Tight or Stuck-on Rings…..Lol Thanks for the entertainment Collin.

  21. Craig

This is why we love Hip2Save! Not only for the deals, but for Collins sense of humor to boot! So fun!
And thanks for the pre-shave idea. Going to have to try that.

  22. Just me

This post made me lol. But as another practical use try lubercating tampons with it. Especially if you have a teen age daughter who is just starting to use tampons.

  23. Cvvaldez

Has anyone used this for eczema? My little one has eczema

  24. irene

I can attest to using it as hair gel — it’s recommended for curly hair, which tends to be dry. Just a little apprehensive about going into Wags, though… horrible CS!!

  25. Christina

I guess I am lucky…my WAGS is AWESOME…especially the women in the cosmetics department! They actually have envelopes filled with coupons they cut and print out themselves. I have NEVER had a problem…EVER. There is one cashier that is not EXTRA NICE…the rest are wonderful. I LOVE WAGS in Hibbing Minnesota!! 🙂

    • Shelly

Hibbing??? My father’s side of the family is from Hibbing. What a small world. 🙂

  26. Kaylynn

Is this an unadvertised RR sale? My walgreens In NY had no signs for this :(((
