Just a reminder to check out Zapiddy if you have an iPhone and/or iPad…

Zapiddy is a free iPhone app that pays users to answer questions. After downloading and registering the app, Zapiddy users (called Zappers) may accept Jobs — brief, easy surveys. Just click on the FIND JOBS tab to find jobs available in your local area.

Wondering what kind of “work” Zapiddy requires?! Typical Zapiddy jobs take place in stores–like Target or Walmart or your local supermarket. For about 3 minutes of actual work (once you’re in the store), Zapiddy normally pays $4. For more involved or higher priority jobs, Zapiddy pays as much as $12.

For example, Zappers recently earned money for snapping the pictures above at Save A Lot and Stop & Shop. Sometimes Zapiddy will alert users to nearby jobs (using push notifications and/or email), but users who check Zapiddy themselves typically get first and best pick of the available work.

To get started, head on over here to download Zapiddy for free from the iTunes App Store.

I have never had a job in my area.

      Not unusual at all!

  2. Pam

I wanted to try this app but had to delete it from my iPhone cause I was never getting any kind of assignments on mine. Seems very area related and mine wasn’t active at all 🙁

  3. Emily

I just signed up, no current jobs in my area in CA

  4. Brandi

You just have to keep a regular eye on it, I mean everyday! I sometimes get one and then it’ll be a month before another pops up. This morning actually there was a Home Depot one and it has already disappeared. Others may stay up for 2 days.

During the summer I had jobs all the time. I don’t think I’ve had one since August or September.

I’m in CA and I have done a few jobs for them. They are awesome and pay as promised, usually within 3-5 days. Unfortunately most of the jobs are before I get off from work but I do get a few every now and then. They pay directly to my paypal.

I just finally found my first job and did it 2 weeks ago. I had to buy 4 Axe body washes at Walmart and got paid $21. They cost me $16 total. When they pop up they go quickly. Today there was one for Home Depot but it was gone before 12pm.

Can you use coupons and still get paid?

      • Kristie

I don’t see why not. There were none for Axe when this deal posted.

I saw that one and got it in the am…i went out for axe maybe an hour later and it saw my job was cancelled

    • Clawdya

I did the axe too and got paid the $21. Did you also submit your receipt to the axe reward link zapiddy provided?..it was to get an additional $5 walmart gc. I did it and am waiting for it to come in the mail…it said 3-4 weeks.

Gotta check regular and early. I’ve only done one job but seen 5 in 6 months. Took a little longer than 5 days to get paid but they did.

Signed up and got my 1st one. But…. It’s raining and we are expected to have ice soon. No way is $3 to go all the way to costco before 4 is worth it. Maybe I will be able to do the next one.

I downloaded the app several months ago and have seen opportunites almost every Saturday or Sunday since. Some of the jobs are a bit out of my way (i have a the radius set up for around 40 miles incase I’m out and about). I have only attempted one project that was to pay $4 and it ended up having me search almost every isle of the grocery store for a specific brand’s products (of which I had never heard of). I took several pictures and reported prices but after about 45 minutes or more the app said that I took to long and ended the opportunity. I’m sure thats not the typical experience but it did stink after walking ilse after ilse…searching row after row for a very small logo on various items.

The app is OK. But you have to check it constantly and hope job doesn’t go away before you start it. Also they have gotten real slow about payment. I just got paid yesterday for a job I did on the 7th and that is normal.

This app being posted seems to a regular occurrence. This app has quite a ways to go before it’s worthwhile.
It should be treated as a fun app. If you’re out shopping, you check the app and there’s something there….how fun. Even at that you better haul tushy because if someone in the same store turns in the data before you, you won’t get paid.
The app has potential but right now, that’s about it.

I have to LOL at your post, b/c a few weeks ago, I was at Target doing Shopkick scans. Well, I saw this woman looking at me. She quickly took out her phone and took off! A few minutes later, I saw her and she said, rather snottily “just so you know I completed the Zapiddy” I said “huh? what are you talking about?” And she said “weren’t you doing a zap shop?” And I said “No, Shopkick”. Wound up referring her b/c she had never heard of it!!

      • Elizabeth C.

Lol, that was quite an entertaining story. Thanks for sharing it. At least she informed you that she completed her job so if you were doing the zap thing you won’t waste your time knowing she completed it already. I hope I won’t encounter such competition in my area if I do this zap thing. There’s quite a few Costco and BJ’s jobs right now on zapiddy for counting the number of sample carts and taking some pictures, and the weather is sunny outside, but I just rather stay home than purposely drive to Costco working for $3. Definitely good for those people already in the stores.

I like the app, I check it when i’m out shopping. I don’t leave my house to make $3 though. I also got the $21 for getting the Axe and with teenage boys in the house, I will take any help I can get.

No Jobs are listed under the “Find Jobs” Tab, but they still show up in “My Jobs” tab – does that mean that I missed the job?

    • Betty Sunflower

If you refresh the screen–it will update. If the job is still there, execute it!
