Collin, are you tired of posting Wags, Rite Aid, and CVS deals yet? As far as I know you have been doing this since 2009 faithfully every Saturday. I remember only one time where the postings went up on a Sunday???

You post the best deals and after almost 5 years (I think) you are still going strong! Have you ever had an anniversary for your blog?

Also did you ever get a new coupon bag? I have the red one exactly like the one you had a few years back. I got one just like you because you were my coupon “hero” and still are.

Have a great weekend! And thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Anna

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are super sweet, Anna! Thanks so much for being such a loyal follower. 🙂 And the blogging Anniversary sounds like a great idea.

Also, I’ve gone through a few coupon bags since the red one…. although, I haven’t found once that tops that coupon binder bag. It has been by far my favorite one.

      • Anna

Thank you too. I heart you and your blog! 🙂

        • Mel

Yup! She was my first couponer blog I followed. Way before the TV show and fame… Back then there were only a few posting deals and Collin was the hippest of em all! Thanks for teaching me how to do it all! <3

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are welcome!! And thanks for sticking with me from the beginning. 🙂

      • samantha g.

Collin! I too VERY MUCH appreciate you and your weekly CVS and WAGS weekly postings! I literally wake up each Sunday morning and practically run downstairs to get on my laptop to check out your CVS and WAGS matchups! EXCITING STUFF! On a side note, can you tell me where I should go to get the best (and not-so-expensive) coupon binder bag? I REALLY need to get my coupons more organized so that I won’t spend hours in each store trying to match up my coupons with clearance / sale finds!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          Hi Samantha!

Thanks for the kind words. And as far as a great coupon binder bag, I have had the best luck at Target. They seem to carry a variety of bigger bags/purses that fit a coupon binder perfectly. Hope that helps a little! 🙂

    • Liz

It is so so true!! We just love and value you so much! Thanks for all you do. This is the best blog out there hands down! I am always telling my coupon wanna be friends about it. I tell them if they do nothing else to start saving, follow your blog! Love ya

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awww…. thanks so much, Liz!! I sure appreciate my wonderful readers! 🙂

  2. JD

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if Walgreens will let you use multiple formula checks in one transaction? I have 7 $5 checks, and one can of my girls formula is $35 so I would love to get for free.

    • Chelsea

I believe you can, the checks are different than coupons.

      • jenn

The checks say on them- consumer use as a coupon, cashier applies as check. At least on the ones I have.

    • jenn

I thought only one check could be applied per item? So like one of those checks would go towards one can.

      • CJ

One check and one coupon can be used on one can

        • Chelsea

Strange because I’ve used checks ontop of coupons and never had any issues. You might want to call and ask first beforehand and see what they say, all Walgreens seem to do things differently.

    • Marcia

Sorry but only one per can…. Anything more then that they will not get their money….

    • Jennifer

I believe that most checks say only one per item purchased so you may want to double check the fine print on yours.

But yes, I work at Walgreens and the system accepts them just like a form of payment so it will accept multiple ones per transaction, in combination with coupons, etc.

    • nel

One tip on this, I haven’t had a wee one in a few years but at that time, I could also use the checks at Sam’s Club or other places that don’t accept “coupons” because the formula ones are checks. So keep that in mind, it could make for a better deal depending if you have a Sam’s membership and if they have what you need and still allow it.

    • JD

Thanks everyone! I guess I’ll just give it a shot and see what they will take. I don’t want to “cheat” any system so if they say no I’m ok with that. Just hate spending so much on special formula!

      • Jennifer

Did you read the fine print? If it says one per purchase then yes it is “cheating” if no then you don’t have anything to feel guilty about.

        • JD

Just read it and there’s no specification for only one per can so I guess I can use multiple! Yay!

  3. jac

Thanks for the match-ups, Collin! One question for you–has WG done away w/ their (inadvertent?) Saturday double dips recently?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome! And it just seems that lately there haven’t been many double dips or double dips that seem worth posting.

      • jac

        Gotcha–thanks!

        • katttro

It seems that the walgreens in my neighborhood (Wisconsin, Brown Deer) start all Sunday deals on Saturday night), so, I am sure there are some overlaps, but my question is whether it would be ethical to double dip? Collin?

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If the registers are allowing this to happen, I personally think it’s fine to take advantage of the double dips as Walgreens could change this if they wanted to. And I guess my other thought is that if you want to buy a sale item tonight from this week and it also rings up at the sale for next week… well, are you not suppose to purchase because it’s ringing up that way? I guess I feel like it’s out of our control and more in Walgreens hands.

          • nel

I have also felt this way about the double dip thing. Not sure I feel great about it so I skip it but can also see how Wags can change their policies and timing on the reset for new ads. I also think that many stores and policies have become harder on couponers because situations have been taken advantage of in the past. Just because you can doesn’t always mean you should. Personally, I’ve seen this wiping some of the better deals out of stock before Sunday by shelf clearers so that is one disadvantage I’ve seen locally. But if Saturday night is when you shop and are purchasing a sale item then certainly I wouldn’t expect you to not purchase it.

  4. Clifton

Yes double dipping is almost a thin if the past…. They have caught in and are phasing out starting sales early….
On another note if you saved any $1.25 off nature valley granola bar coupons, they expire 1/31, will make for a smashing deal tomorrow at Walgreens .

    • Tia

Thanks for the tip! I had printed out several and have been waiting for an awesome deal!

  5. CW

If I remember correctly, the Bayer $1 coupon in tomorrow’s SS inset is only for larger bottles.

  6. Erin

For the Nabisco crackers sale- there is also a 1.00 Checkout 51 offer when you buy 2 Triscuit crackers.

  7. Sarah

I double dipped on wags diapers tonight. First pack $6 second pack $3. Plus I earned 1000 points.

  8. Harmony

If you still have the Culturelle boxes from the last Wags RR deal sometime last year, there are $2 coupons inside that don’t expire until 12/31/14. Yay moneymaker!

    • AJ

Thanks for the reminder! I found mine in my coupon binder and also found a $2 off Pur Absorb coupon that had been in the box from a deal a long time ago. I don’t see any expiration date on that one!

      • Kim Robinson

Thanks for your post. I just checked my box of Pur and found the $2/1 coupon. It’s in the little booklet in the box.

  9. Sita

Collin, you are the coupon Guru!!!

  10. Anita

I still have 2 b2g1 right guard personal care mcs that expire tonight. If I can find a walgreens with tomorrow’s sale activated (Right Guard or Dry Idea Deodorant 2.6 to 4 oz buy 1 get 1 FREE) can I use the mcs with the bogo free store sale? How many would I purchase? And how many would be free? Thanks!! 🙂

    • katttro

I think you’d need to get 6 total (3 would be free with the walgreens sale, 2 would be free with the coupons, so, you’d be paying for one only). Correct me if I am wrong

      • Anita

Thanks katttro. That’s how it worked. Got 6 deodorants for $4.19! 🙂

  11. Beth

well beginnings diapers are double dip! bogo 50% off, and 2 for $12 next week. Plus earn 1000 points. pay $6 for 1st pack and $3 for 2nd pack of diapers. Get back 1000 points. Also crest vivid white toothpaste is dd. $0.49 each after points.

    • Barb

Thanks Beth, I did the diaper dd tonight, not a bad deal if you need diapers and I really like the quality of them. 🙂

    • Crystal

Darn, wish I could have gone to Walgreens last night. I am really running low on diapers and I love Walgreen’s diapers. They are the best.

  12. Janet

One of the managers at my local Walgreens just told me that they have Sunday sales starting every saturday at 4PM now! Just FYI!

  13. Tia

I have a question if someone could please help me. If I purchase an item that gives me 1,000 points, and I would like to purchase more than one… Is it necessary to break up the transactions to get points each time or can I purchase, let’s say, two items and get 2,000 points total? Hope it’s not too confusing. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

    • Mb

I can get as many as u want and get the points

    • Mrs. Waller

No, it is not necessary to do multiple transactions to receive your points. Balance reward points, unlike register rewards, will still accumulate even if multiple of the same item are purchased in the same transaction. Just be sure to check if your store imposes a limit on the number of items that you can purchase. Hope this helps!

      • Tia

Thank you very much for the input!

  14. Pat

Hs anyone found where the Culturelle Health & Wellness Probiotic Supplement is? Didn’t see it in the anti-acid section…please share where you find it!

    Thanks!

    • Samantha

I looked there first, too, but I finally found it in the Vitamin section. Hope that helps!

  15. sarah

anyone know if kids culturelle packets are included?

    • Yolie

They are not included. The RR is for the Health & Wellness Immunity Support Formula.

  16. Lisa

Anyone tell me if they think the Culturelle is effective. I want to try it but not sure if it’s worth it. Thanks.

    • Lmj011

I used to work in pharmacy(and graduated with a biochem degree) and according to the literature and research culturelle was one of the best probiotics out there (this was two years ago). Acidophilus, although widely known, is not as effective as some of the other bacteria out there like lactobacillus gg which is found in culturelle.

      • Lisa

Wow, that’s great to know. Thanks!

    • K

My daughter has to take it daily and it helps a ton. Shes only 4 and she kept complaining about belly aches. I took her to the dr and he said she has irritable bowel syndrome and to take a probiotic daily. I since started her on this and she has not complained 1 time about a belly ache since! i highly recommend it!

  17. Happymama

There is a good match-up with Simple products. There is a b1g1 free coupon this week and Walgreens has them b1g50% off. I’m not sure what the math would be but I’d like to know! Anyone know how Walgreens works in an instance? Thanks!

  18. diane

how do you know what gives you the 50 points on every dollar?

  19. Rosemary

You are amazing! I’m a newbie and your website is incredibly helpful. Thank you for your time.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome! 🙂

  20. Ashley

On one of the links for the KY brand products, it prints out (excluding K-Y Jelly). Does this mean that this coupon could not be used on the above deal? It says KY Ultragel? Are these the same thing?! TIA!

    • lovedeals

ultragel is different then jelly. it should work on this one.

      • Ashley

Thanks :). Also I received a coupon in the mail this week for 4/1 KY Brand Premium Product (Excludes KY Brand jelly) so I may be able to use this as well! I will give it a shot it has a picture of the Date night pack but my WAGs may still accept?!

    • Alison

I was able to use both that were listed this morning.

  21. Connie

About the progresso soup 4 for $5 I still have $1.00 off one can that expires 3/1/14 not sure what insert it had came in but if I also remember you could print $1 off on coupons.com not to long ago. If you use 4 of them that would make them 25€ each so $1 for all four cans of soup if I am right

    • Aimee

If you use all four of the $1/1 coupons, you will pay $1 out of pocket plus whatever your tax is for food. Be sure to scan your Rewards card (or enter your phone number), you get 1,000 points back (equivalent to $1) to use on future transactions. So if you factor in the points, you’re getting all four soups FREE!! 🙂

Buuuuut…you’ll have to be careful not to use your points to pay for items that will generate more points. It’s a bit complicated, but Collin explains it very well in her Couponing 101 series. Check it out! 🙂

  22. M

    Hello,
I am a newbie to Walgreens. My hubby received a $20 gift card and I am trying to
stretch it………My Walgreens seems to not be well stocked on sale items even
when the sale breaks……Do they give rainchecks on sale items? Thanks for
    the input in adavance.

  23. Edie

The link for the $3/1 Nature Made gummies leads to a $2/2 Nature Made product, unfortunately. Must have changed it, the little turds!

  24. Carol

Walgreens is always such a nightmare. What should’ve taken 10 minutes ended up taking an hour! I used my $10 foot cream RR from last week to purchase the Culturelle today and my RR did not print. Clerk said I can’t use a RR to buy another RR item and expect to get another RR from that deal. I told her that only applied if I was trying to buy the same product or same company. She said she was right and I was wrong. Ok, so I want my RR back and let me just pay cash. She rang it up and it still didn’t print. Come to find out the RR machine was unplugged! Went to another register and it worked perfectly. So then I go find my K-Y Gel, which is not marked on sale and neither was the Culturelle, I go to check out and pay, and again, my RR did not print on this register. That register RR machine had ALSO been unplugged! Jeez, am I the only one in town that went in for the RR deals today? The manager blamed it on the “night crew”. Every single time I go to our Wags I have problems and don’t tell me to go down the street to another one cause that is the only one in my town. The next nearest one is 40 miles and I don’t care to travel that far for a deal on a couple of small items.

  25. Tom

    Hey Collin,
I want to know if i can return an item to walgreens that generated RR because i have already used the generated RR in next transaction. If I can return, do they deduct RR from the amount paid for the item purchased?

  26. Ashley

I found a $1 off one Scott Naturals Paper towel printable coupon! Was super excited because my MA inserts only had $1.25 off 2 so not as good of a deal as everybody else’s $1 off one but thankfully this link saved my purse and my paper towel stock pile(which is way too low!)! Here’s the link! 🙂
